- We try to get some mountain hiking in, but the weather has other ideas. I should have worked on the yard, but my "Wife" dog whines too much! Oh well, a good time was had by both of us !!

Definitely a big difference in the microphones, Rick. You were right-too much background noise in the other one. I laughed at the title to this--my pup does the same. I retired a few years ago and he keeps me moving...which is a GOOD thing!
Ya, I am definitely an addicted coach potatoe without a dog. I thin when my "Boys" were on in years and just wanted to sleep and lie around, I gained weight and aged a lot faster. They were still good camping, but otherwise no motivation. Good to have the little one to get me back in shape. LOL

Well, if you don't already have plans for Labor Day camping come on you're welcome To meet up with us on the Tennessee side. We will be in North River. We reserved a group site, but everybody else's plans have fallen through so it'll just be us. We found this place based on one of your previous videos and love it.
Boy is that ever a very tempting offer. I have reservations at Indian Boundary and Plan on camping up the river from you Wednesday-Thursday, the Campground Reservations are for Friday-Saturday. I hate traveling on the Holiday weekends just because the drivers are all in a hurry or sleep deprived. But its tempting because I could just leave the trailer and return easy Next Tuesday night ! I'll think about it seriously...
@@GoingNoWhereFast We have the McNabb group camp reserved from tomorrow through Monday. You're welcome to set up camp there with us if that helps you over the weekend. It'd would be really neat to meet you and say hi. We would never have found the area had it not been for your video.
@@dante04srt Thanks so much for the invite, But I'm not ready to travel yet. I am off work all next week and so need to finish up the end of month projects before Sunday. So earliest I could travel would be Saturday Night, And the trailer needs some re-stocking and a shelf re-attached. So I'm going to have to bow out this time. But let me know what you think of McNabb. It seems a bit weird since there is no water, just porta-johns, and its expensive($30). Maybe you could cancel and just boondock along the river if its just you. Lot of good site if you get there early.
Private campgrounds are open in PA but State parks are not open yet. My Gifford Pinchot trip was canceled by the State so I'll just watch your GP video.
Pa State campgrounds are open, just not the day use areas. Don't know why they cancelled.
Ha ha.. Sorry, I'm up to 5 different trips that have been canceled, despite having reservations that were made supposedly outside of the COVID-19 Shutdowns. I have 3 more reservations still holding. We will see if they get canceled. I'm taking the trailer out for "Drive around" just to make sure it still rolls... its been so long !!

@@bertkelly7650 I had May reservations for French Creek State Park and Gifford Pinchot State Park both canceled by the State due to Covid 19
I don't like to hike on Saturdays during covid-19 nor any holiday weekends either. I did one yesterday because the weather was so nice and I couldn't hold out and I felt like a school kid in single file along the trail for the first 1/2 mile until they stopped and I kept going. Even the ranger was yelling for people to single file
I usually head for the gamelands, like that Pond Mountain. They tend to be deserted while everyone else is in "family Parks". But this weekend we are packing for our big trip to Tn and cleaning house a little.

Slim is doing another shower in the trailer video. I'm not sure I understand, but it does appear to be a popular subject. I prefer to shower outside the trailer or in the local bathhouse !
are you happy the 4Runner? I liked mine that I gave up many years ago and was considering returning to it . Currently have a 120k miles on Nissan tow vehicle for small travel trailer Casita. I get nervous when the cars get over 100k as that's when things start breaking down. I can't determine if 4WD is needed as I don't do a lot of off-road stuff, just move trailers around through muddy fields occasionally. Not in snow country either. How often do you think you put your 4Runner in 4WD mode? PS MARK TWAIN "The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog".....I no longer have my Golden Retriever, but I remember hard days at work where I'd come home angry and my pup Chaucer would be friendly, playful, happy and wouldn't hold grudges against me like maybe a workmate would....very loyal, as they say, right?
Well I do a lot of off road, or unmaintained roads, or even really steep roads, looking for great boondocking areas. So I use 4wd frequently. But if you stay on pavement, even winter driving I never had 4wd. Also I will tell you, I agree american cars still barely go 125,000 miles without breakdown. But I know a lot of Toyotas and Hondas that are well over 200,000 and still have no issues except brakes, belts and Hoses. Not much $$$ in those issues. And Tires are more imporatant than 4 or 2 wheel drive. Though if you tow heavy trailers up slopes that maybe gravel or grass, 4wd gets you there when 2 wheel won't. But is it worth it, or are there other options ?!

Hey Rick! Nice video. I have an 02 Aliner Expedition. The counter tops are really getting bad. The are curling up and the trim is falling off. What do you suggest I do about repairs? Can I order new counter tops from Aliner or is it best to have them made? Thanks for any advise you can share!
I'm working on that myself. Haven't come to full conclusion yet, but looking at just buying some counter top pieces from Home Depot and gluing them to the cabinets. I'll do a video, but it probably won't be for several more weeks, maybe Middle-Late July.
What state are you in.

Sometimes I end up at Walmart on holidays cause there's no room at the campgrounds I usually go to, small (5 spots). Happy summer!
I've never been "camped" at a Walmart. I've always found some place "woodsy" to park for the night. Not sure what I would do if I was left with just that option. Thanks for the comment !

Its pretty easy to "de-Winterize", Just add water and let it flow. And maybe grease up the Axles and then wash and wax.... You'll find any other issues when you do that !! LOL
Silver linings... I’m thankful. You got to get out in the fresh air, test a mic, Akela got a new BIG stick! PS... that’s what I hear about husbands... the whiny, demanding part. LOL.
