So, first off, I'd like to thank Blaze Wardog016 for suggesting this great track! I really had a blast making up lead parts for this! It feels like it's been way too long since I've had a song where I kinda zone out and get lost in soloing around.
Also, sorry this one took a little while to get out. I would've actually had it out like a week sooner, but I was procrastinating, and enjoying a week-long vacation =).
I kept things mostly the same (guitar solos, and riffs aside), and added a subtle choir part to layer on top of the strings in the second-half before the solo/chorus kicks back in.
I was actually worried about recording the gameplay for this one, because the textures for the ground tend to glitch out and flicker in PCSX2 (unless you use software render mode, but then it just runs too slow for me D:!). In the end though, the footage I recorded came out better than I expected, with some ground-texture flicker showing up in only a few clips.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this cover! ~DAR

You may be interested to know that AC5/Zero can now be emulated perfectly in PCSX2 as of a few months ago. Download the latest version and Google what options you need to tick.
Wow, thanks I didn't know about that! I'm definitely going to go grab a 1.5.0 build of PCSX2 sometime, and use it for any future Ace Combat covers I do =)!
Oh, thanks. I have counter-subscribed! Incidentally I played Closure the other day but replaced the OST with your cover.
You can play also AC4 now without texture issues , it requires a proper cpu and gpu tho. Cannot wait for 6 to be emulated on Xenia, i cannot afford to buy old x360 to play just one game and now it is only one entry of the series i cannot access
Closure’s emotions fit so well. You’re going into a place of great evil, that the world thought was vanquished, but only you know that the evil remains and is gaining strength. You’re there to stop them once and for all to stop them from rebuilding the nightmare.
The piano chords really send it home, as this makes you think of all those who have died, and your future children. You don’t want those deaths to have been in vain, and you don’t want future generations to grow up with this evil still lurking out there.
So you go, determined to bury this evil once and for all. Closure.
This is one epic cover with feels written all over it that will hit any real fan in the gut.
Every tack on AC5 deserves this level of respect. One of the greatest game soundtracks of all time. Doesn’t get nearly enough praise, and it’s been get a lot of love recently.
I love the original Closure, but I think I like this version even better. Simply awesome with the guitar.
I found this series about three weeks ago and am now playing all the games in order. Listening to this to celebrate completing The Unsung War. It really is an amazing game :)
I use this song for my DnD character. This cover is absolutely amazing.
Definitely need to do more Ace Combat covers! Perhaps some more from 4 such as Comona, that would absolutely shred!
This is such a good cover. Closure is one of the more slept on songs in Ace Combat.
It's really intriguing that a (still unreleased) song of the last DLC mission of AC7 sounds very similar to this. This fits perfectly the atmosphere of Ace Combat, excellent job, on par with many of the best tracks of the series
I really love the intro portion, but the whole song itself is magical. Well done!
I love this. Subscribed. Would love to see more Ace Combat covers. I think "Awakening" from 7 has enough of a similar feel to this song that you can get lightning to strike twice with this one.
It certainly does give off the same kind of vibe. I've now added it to my Covers To-Do List, so that I don't forget! It might take me a while to get to it though, as I have many covers still lined up that I need to finish first. I'm definitely looking forward to covering _Awakening_ in the future! ~DAR
Fantastic job man
You ever thought about extending this cover (with permission, of course)?
I can only say...Wow…!!!
Damm... What a masterpiece... You rock!!!
Great job! Solo was wonderful!
It's great! already listened to it multiple times.
ok???
Thank you for doing this!! omg this is so awesome! this is one of my favorite tracks... it's so goooood.
This is freaking awesome, please do more
Do you hear that?
It's the demon waking up from his lethargy ...
Really great job with this one, I got the child listening to this. First one I've heard from you. Next to listen to your other stuff.Keep up the good work!
Beautiful job!!
Dude, this is awesome! My only wish is that we had an extended version.
Badass. Love it!
Amazing
Great cover!
God I love this! You earned a sub from this alone!
I do have a request, is there any chance you can do rendezvous or Wings of Unity?
Yes I used an AC04 quote to request AC5 songs, sue me!
Thanks! Both are great choices (I really like Rendezvous), I've now added both of them to my Covers-To-Do List. ~DAR
How do you make the drums?
Is that your piano? What's the brand of your Piano?
Sorry if I'm bothering you, I have curiosity
(Also sorry my english.)
No problem, man! For drums, I've always used EZDrummer 2.0's Metalheads kit. The snare drum I use is one of the snares included with the default EZD 2.0 kit (I believe its called the "chrome Gretsch" snare).
By the way, if the drums sound a bit different in my "Alect Squadron" cover, it's because of my new use of sidechain compression on things like the kick & bass, as well as the snare & overhead (drum mic).
As for my piano, my actual keyboard is a Casio CTK4000, but I mainly use it as a MIDI controller. Though I have used it's sounds before in a cover (most notably my cover of E2M2). When it comes to actual piano sounds, I mainly use a free VST called "Piano One". It's quite a nice piano vst. Though on some occasions I will use FL Studio's FL Keys.
Hope this helps =)! ~DAR
Nice data!
Also, you use a type of equalizer to modify the Treble and bass of a track?
What other plugins you use?
Yep, EQ's are very essential to my mixing process. I like to use FL Studio's "Fruity Parametric EQ 2" for high-pass and low-pass filtering, as well as finding and reducing/cutting problematic frequencies.
Actually, most of the plugins that I use are the ones included with FL Studio. I've always stuck with them since they've worked for what I needed, and I just feel comfortable using them after all this time.
Aside from the Fruity Parametric EQ 2 plugin, I also find myself often using both Fruity Reverb and Fruity Reverb 2. As well as the Fruity Limiter, Fruity Flangus, and Fruity Flanger. Of course, FL's "Sytrus" synthesizer has been a very important tool in my works also!
However, I do also use some other non-FL Studio plugins, which are quite nice. If you need something to give your bass instrument some extra power or crunch, the TSE BOD plugin is really great. I've used it back before I even got my bass guitar. It worked pretty well on the VSTi bass I used back then, and I still actually use the plugin with my bass guitar now!
A good combo to go along with that plugin is the LePou "LeCab" plugin. Find some Ampeg bass cabinet IR's and load them up with LeCab, and you can have some fun shaping your bass tone.
Another very important plugin for me is "sfz" a soundfont player by Cakewalk. I use this one to load up all the orchestral soundfonts that I need. I like this one because of how lightweight and simple it is.
do blockade remix pls
😢😮😅
