Where do you stand on sacrificing a bit of clear time to add food champs. I run stage 20 with artak and 4 food and it takes 2-2:30 min. I personally think the trade of is worth it especially since I’m still trying to build sintranos champs
Oh, I definitely think it's worth it to add food champs. That wasn't the focus of this video, but yeah, it's a great idea. As long as you have the time.
I have found placing Uggo in last place helps her to react better when A3 is needed. She came in clutch for me on ice golem several times bringing party back from especially devastating smack of Seer failed to kill boss. Also means she needs a LOT of HP and a good amount of def. If she was in any other position her A3 didn’t always get used.
Hell hades or murder inc (maybe both), I forget who had a good video on placement (position) for champs such as Uggo. This would apply to dutchess and seeker too but NOT iron brago (his passive is calculated without regard to position).
Good video, thanks 😊 You probably don't remember but long ago I told you that I pulled a six star soulstone for Greenwarden Ruarc. You said you have never built him and asked me to tell you how he is doing. He is doing great, he and Mithrala takes care of dragon hard 10 in 1.5 minutes runs. Use Seer and 2 other champs for the waves, but they die at the dragon. He is fantastic with all the poision he transfers to the dragon on his A1. Also only need the A1, so no books 😊
I DO remember! I've never built a Rhuarc. In fact, I think I've only ever pulled one, and not on my main account. You're right that his A1 is perfect for dragon, and without books, no less. Sweet team. Thanks for the update!
My f2p hard 10 team is clearing at about 1:35 now with some rework. Running Kalvalax, Riho,Thor, Gnut and Acrizia I think now after your vid I'll pull Kalvalax and put in Khatun to try dropping my time, thanks for the video. I would say I'm pushing into late game and realize speed kills/speed is king and that amplifies as you progress. I'm curious though, do you find the 2x drop event for speed gear very nearly pointless as I do. It takes me 50 - 100 runs to get 1 piece of speed gear with a speed substat, I won't even mention how irritating and stupid it is to get rares from hard mode. Sorry for the lengthy comment.
Speed is king, but the way we get speed into our teams can affect how beneficial that speed is. For instance, in the early to mid game, having a speed engine like High Khatun alleviates the gear pressure on the rest of your champions. But at end game, having the speed directly on your champions means you don't need to bring a High Khatun, and you can instead use that team spot for more damage or utility. That's what you found with your hard 10 dragon run and Kalvalax. If you look at my hard 10 team in the video, I have no speed champs (well, Lydia) or tm fillers either. That's because my champs all naturally run at 250+ speed now. As for drop rates on speed gear, yeah, it's awful. I probably get 2-3 usable speed pieces per month, and a top-tier upgrade 2-3 times a year, if that. But Pinpoint has now come into the mix, so that's where I'm getting a lot of new speed for my champs.
That's nice! I don't think poisons are necessary, although they are very good for dragon. Since you're running Rathalos, maybe think about finding a good HP burn champion to pair with him. I don't know if you own him, but I really like Artak for Dragon. That dec. Atk helps with the boss, and Artak's wave clear is solid too.
Need for speed? I have a need for something other than five star rare pieces as the reward. This game... I'll tell ya... there should be rule that the reward has to be good enough to help you beat the boss you just defeated. If the artifact is an automatic sell, it's not a reward. It's a let down.
Yeah, the drop rates in the classic dungeons are really crappy in RAID. That's actually why these x3 drop fever events are so critical to farm well. BUT we should be getting a new event dungeon in just a little while, and the last event dungeon had much better drop rates, so maybe that will help you. I hope so!
The speed icon is coloured blue, that's why all you get, you get rare pieces. Joke aside. But when you get any epic, gold or maybe mythical, there is no speed in it...and if you get any speed, if you do, almost never rolls out. You need to spend at least 10k energy to get maybe a few useful speed pieces.
@@petergrizon4434 Drock did a video about... six? months ago showing the results of just that, a huge amount of energy on a dungeon and you are right... if memory serves, he got fewer than ten artifacts worth keeping.

The reason I didn't focus on my gear is because I'm way overgeared for stage 20 dungeons. That being said, the stats I discussed are fairly accurate, so just shoot for those. If you can happen to get some ignore defense on your damage dealers, great! But that's really all it takes. If you're looking for more gearing help, do a quick search of my YT channel. Normally I would agree with you, but even during a 3x when investing quite a bit of energy the results are less than adequate. I'm saving up for the fusion so I can't really invest a ton of energy in Dragon 10, so I'm just farming masteries. Pinpoint will be back and I hope this time around I can farm the last stage 🤞 And now that I have a 6* Crushing Rend on Seer I really have to try building some fast farm teams around her. Though my focus has been more on solo/duo comps I can also farm food with for tournaments and fusions. I finally beat FK10 (though due to re-gearing my comp is a bit messed up now) now, so I beat pretty much all content except Sintranos hard, Chimera NM/UNM and Shogun, where my solo build has been on progress for a while haha (got stubborn there lol)

A good free replacement for Lydia in any Seer team is actually Archmage Helmut. He brings 3 unique buffs that Mithrala doesn't, so it's more damage for Seer! He's the first champ you'll get from Doom Tower normal secret rooms, and if you are by this point in the game where you are trying to speed farm dragon, you should already have him
@@Dax_fame You get 3 fragments per secret room you beat. Each rotation of DT has 12 secret rooms, so you need to best 34 rooms (sadly, 33 rooms gets you 99 fragments, but the 34th gets you the last one + 2 fragments for the next epic which is also good). It takes a while, at least 3 months, but if you are the stage where you are trying to speed farm dungeons, you should be able to clear most secret rooms anyway
I have a consistent Dragon Hard 7 team using Demytha, Mithrala, Ninja, Thor, Wallmaster Othorion - no failures, but anything above 7 and it starts to fail pretty often, most likely due to my champ speeds (my account is only 6 months old and the speeds across these champs are mostly in the 200-220 range except Demytha who is at 280). Not sure if I can make some sort of ultra tanky team that can survive hard 10 slower. I feel like I need both a dec atk as well as buff strip to remove the dragon's atk up and I just don't have enough champ slots to enable something like that without Lydia. I have a 4 star awakened seer but putting her in makes runs fail because I can't really enable her and shes almost useless on the boss itself with my mediocre gear.
Once you get above stage 6, the stats ramp up really quickly. Especially the speed requirements. That's one of the reasons I often farm stage 6 HM. It's just easier, more consistent, and faster.
Great video ! I made a new account and i'm at drake 20 rn. It's very slow mostly because of waves. With my first one i got the Verminlord by that time who really carry waves early so I never had this problem before. I'll try Rathalos since I believe he can delete D20 waves with a good set up.
Both Gnishak and Rathalos can be great at waves. Gnishak is a little weird, because you need the waves to take a turn. But they will both do good work for you. Good luck!
Really good video. I like your f2p content! Just curious about the stages to farm and to progress on. Like am i always gonna farm on stage 20 or go to 24 and what stages on hard mode ? Or is it just the highest stage you can beat is the best ? And what about when an event or a tournament is activ?
Thanks! Good questions. The simple answer is this - stage 20 is the most energy efficient for dungeon tournaments. If you want better drops during a tournament, stage 24 is also efficient, but has better drop rates. If you are just interested in the drops, and care less about efficiency, you should farm the highest HM stage you can. They are all the same amount of energy, but higher stages have better rates.
For each champion, their attack damage is calculated using a few different stats. For most champions, the attack stat is used. For others, it may be defense or HP or something else less common. So, for any champion you own, you always want to check where their damage comes from. That will help you understand how to build them effectively.
Well, I think those are probably the three best, but there are a whole bunch of epics you can use in HM 10s, if you need to. It really just comes down to stats. Can you get the gear and bonuses onto them that make them effective? If you can, you can bring even rares into HM 10s...not that I would advise it. 😉
Nice! I love seeing Deacon in there. As long as it's consistent, I think you'll probably stick with that team until/unless you get a Seer comp or a Poison explosion team going. Those are the only team comps that are a LOT faster.

Do you actually need that much crit damage on royal guard? I hurd that around 200 crit damage maxed out the hp hit.. am I wrong ?sorry to bombard you with comments and questions, but what is the max damage you can hit hydra for on for example hard. My gnut hits about 400-500k per hit. Is he able to hit for more than that if I pump his crit damage up even higher ?
The best way to figure out the max HP cap is to go the the raid stages tool on hellhades.com. Check the HP of the boss you are fighting, and take 10% of that. That's the cap for that boss.
The optimal Crit Damage is given by the following formula (if not an ATK champion, replace by the stat their damage is based on) : optCD = 100 * (TotalATK / BaseATK - 1)
They do not. However, some max hp hits (like Coldheart's Heartseeker) have secondary effects that require accuracy. The hit itself is just a hit. No ACC required.
Lol. Very nice! I wonder at the double Seer though. With the reset from Kymar, you may get more value with a Lydia or Mithralla or another buff/debuff champ who can set your main Seer up for a wave one-shot better. Double Seer makes more sense to me without a reset champion. You know your account better than I do, but it may be worth tinkering with.
From a tactical standpoint, speed is incredibly important. The ability to go before the enemy is huge - it allows you to completely control the opening stages of any fight. In addition, lapping your enemy is crazy powerful. Getting 2 actions to their 1 is key to a lot of fights in both PvE and PvP. As the speed thresholds have risen with the general stat bloat over the past 12-18 months, speed has become even more important. I doubt that will ever change.
I am barely a month in and all this seems so discouraging. I got a couple of champs now but i feel i can not build teams yet so farming gear seems hard. With Athel as a starter, Kael, Vogoth and Wu kong i can barely clear stage 13. Just got Anax and Holsring and i feel i should focus on their masteries instead of farming speed gear. Got all of them to 60 but that minotaur guy is a grind. Any advice from you pros out there? I feel afraid to invest too much in blues when i still have work to do on my epics. Only reviver i have is Meatcarver Tolog but i am hesitant to pick a thing to focus on since energy is scarce. Can not spend much money so i am a bit lost. Any advice would be much appreciated! Since ur only a month in u don't hv to be doing such high levels of dungeons do what u can and save all ur shards for 2x events so u can pull better champions good luck
I know it sounds silly but early game I’d maybe focus on the masteries- Anax will be good for the dungeon but potentially a healer / reviver In the team will bring u up to stage 16 (the next threshold to hit) ideally once u hit 20 then I’d prioritize the 3x speed event. If you farm 13 on the event those pieces of gear will soon not be relevant on your account. I wouldnt stress farming the event right now, they do 3x speed like once a month so it’ll come back !
You're doin' awesome, don't worry! :) Since you're only on your first month, I wouldn't stress about dumping tons of energy into dragon to get speed gear just yet! Just focus on building out your core team that will help you push through the early game! :) And focusing on champs that will help you progress in clan boss (demon lord) are what I'd prioritize! Like Anax! Like others have said, too, saving shards in the first several months, towards 2x events are definitely your best bet for improving your roster! Keep up the great work, and hopefully you're having a lot of fun so far! :)

I tried to use Hell Hades site for gear optimization but it seems bugged, it suggested a salad of items on my champs with no item set bonuses active. Got the life steal gear on my Athel and followed the advice from that site but it seems to me that if i had similar level gear as the life steal set is i could do much more. Do you think it is a good idea to spend my energy in dungeons farming gear or should i instead farm minotaur and chickens while i wait for better champs? Wait I'm confused. How is your royal guard hitting 700k on stage 20... My cold heart only hits 500k and I thought I was doing the max 10% so pumping crit damage as high as possible does count
shouldn't take much longer is actually crazy. I'm stuck on the arbiter missions because it is taking FOREVER to farm the arena to get the level 10 great hall bonus. i cannot for the life of me get arbiter and i probably won't no matter how often i play. it's taken me months and i still havent gotten to level 7. i need a better team and its just too hard
Arena is a huge stumbling block for a lot of players. And it's gotten tougher over time. I do have some videos on the topic that may help. I wish you luck!
Poison is okay, but you could go with HP burn or max HP nukers. One good budget option may be Whisper. Depending on your team comp, she can do a lot of work. She's also squishy. But when it comes to farming HM dungeons, I often farm stage 6 rather than 10. It's more consistent, a LOT faster, and still drops great gear.
im at stage 19 and appear to have some sort of curse on my account almost 100 runs yielded all useless gear would you consider doing a real in depth gear vid showing gear that you would keep over other gear all videos ive seen so far are very hard to understand and don't explain why they would keep a piece over another outside of it has speed on it
I've done several gearing videos. Just do a quick search on my YT page and you should find some good stuff. I could probably do an update soonish, though.
That team feel pretty solid, but you don't have a single-target nuker to help kill the dragon. That's probably the slowdown. If you get your Lydia, she could replace both Uugo and Eostrid, and then you could bring in another hitter like Whisper (or whoever) to speed things up. Another option would be to swap out Eostrid for Mithrala - you'll lose the block debuffs, but you'll end up doing a decent amount of extra damage.
@ColredPlaysRSL oh 100%. I'm noticing though the failure tends to happen with the extra turns from Seer stripping all the buffs at the wrong time. Whisper in does help some but same issue without more dmg since I'm missing drop def or weaken

POST EDIT - I swapped Khatun for Kalvalax and and my run slowed by a little more than a half minute, switched back to Kalvalax.

So, for any champion you own, you always want to check where their damage comes from. That will help you understand how to build them effectively.
Deacon,seer and geo maybe the only epics that can survive in lvl 10 dragon hard team or any hard dungeon team.
Well, I think those are probably the three best, but there are a whole bunch of epics you can use in HM 10s, if you need to. It really just comes down to stats. Can you get the gear and bonuses onto them that make them effective? If you can, you can bring even rares into HM 10s...not that I would advise it. 😉
my hard 10 dragon team is about 2 minutes, using padraig, deacon, mikage, acrizia, harima. not exactly f2p friendly team but its my f2p team :)
Nice! I love seeing Deacon in there. As long as it's consistent, I think you'll probably stick with that team until/unless you get a Seer comp or a Poison explosion team going. Those are the only team comps that are a LOT faster.

Do you actually need that much crit damage on royal guard? I hurd that around 200 crit damage maxed out the hp hit.. am I wrong ?sorry to bombard you with comments and questions, but what is the max damage you can hit hydra for on for example hard. My gnut hits about 400-500k per hit. Is he able to hit for more than that if I pump his crit damage up even higher ?
The best way to figure out the max HP cap is to go the the raid stages tool on hellhades.com. Check the HP of the boss you are fighting, and take 10% of that. That's the cap for that boss.

The optimal Crit Damage is given by the following formula (if not an ATK champion, replace by the stat their damage is based on) :
optCD = 100 * (TotalATK / BaseATK - 1)
17:30 I thought that max hp hits required accuracy.
They do not. However, some max hp hits (like Coldheart's Heartseeker) have secondary effects that require accuracy. The hit itself is just a hit. No ACC required.
I use double seer double gnut and a kymar.. 15 turn counts and 27 sec only in dragon hard10. 😊
Lol. Very nice! I wonder at the double Seer though. With the reset from Kymar, you may get more value with a Lydia or Mithralla or another buff/debuff champ who can set your main Seer up for a wave one-shot better. Double Seer makes more sense to me without a reset champion. You know your account better than I do, but it may be worth tinkering with.
The impact of speed shouldn't be so dominant.
Of course the fastest champ/team goes first but the turn meter fill should be less punishing.
From a tactical standpoint, speed is incredibly important. The ability to go before the enemy is huge - it allows you to completely control the opening stages of any fight. In addition, lapping your enemy is crazy powerful. Getting 2 actions to their 1 is key to a lot of fights in both PvE and PvP. As the speed thresholds have risen with the general stat bloat over the past 12-18 months, speed has become even more important. I doubt that will ever change.
I am barely a month in and all this seems so discouraging. I got a couple of champs now but i feel i can not build teams yet so farming gear seems hard.
With Athel as a starter, Kael, Vogoth and Wu kong i can barely clear stage 13.
Just got Anax and Holsring and i feel i should focus on their masteries instead of farming speed gear.
Got all of them to 60 but that minotaur guy is a grind.
Any advice from you pros out there?
I feel afraid to invest too much in blues when i still have work to do on my epics. Only reviver i have is Meatcarver Tolog but i am hesitant to pick a thing to focus on since energy is scarce.
Can not spend much money so i am a bit lost.

Since ur only a month in u don't hv to be doing such high levels of dungeons do what u can and save all ur shards for 2x events so u can pull better champions good luck
I know it sounds silly but early game I’d maybe focus on the masteries- Anax will be good for the dungeon but potentially a healer / reviver In the team will bring u up to stage 16 (the next threshold to hit) ideally once u hit 20 then I’d prioritize the 3x speed event. If you farm 13 on the event those pieces of gear will soon not be relevant on your account. I wouldnt stress farming the event right now, they do 3x speed like once a month so it’ll come back !

You're doin' awesome, don't worry! :) Since you're only on your first month, I wouldn't stress about dumping tons of energy into dragon to get speed gear just yet!
Just focus on building out your core team that will help you push through the early game! :) And focusing on champs that will help you progress in clan boss (demon lord) are what I'd prioritize! Like Anax!
Like others have said, too, saving shards in the first several months, towards 2x events are definitely your best bet for improving your roster!

Do you have advice for gearing the champs? I tried to use Hell Hades site for gear optimization but it seems bugged, it suggested a salad of items on my champs with no item set bonuses active. Got the life steal gear on my Athel and followed the advice from that site but it seems to me that if i had similar level gear as the life steal set is i could do much more. Do you think it is a good idea to spend my energy in dungeons farming gear or should i instead farm minotaur and chickens while i wait for better champs?
I realize that you already said that i should wait till i farm gear until i hit stage 16 but can you please suggest what should i do while i wait?

Wait I'm confused. How is your royal guard hitting 700k on stage 20... My cold heart only hits 500k and I thought I was doing the max 10% so pumping crit damage as high as possible does count

Yeah, the cap doesn't get applied until stage 21. So stage 20 and below, you can hit WAY harder with a max HP damage dealer.

shouldn't take much longer is actually crazy. I'm stuck on the arbiter missions because it is taking FOREVER to farm the arena to get the level 10 great hall bonus. i cannot for the life of me get arbiter and i probably won't no matter how often i play. it's taken me months and i still havent gotten to level 7. i need a better team and its just too hard
Arena is a huge stumbling block for a lot of players. And it's gotten tougher over time. I do have some videos on the topic that may help. I wish you luck!
Ive been having a rough time making a consistent hard 10 team. I do it now with like 75% success.
Out of over 40 leggos I have like 0 poison lol.
Poison is okay, but you could go with HP burn or max HP nukers. One good budget option may be Whisper. Depending on your team comp, she can do a lot of work. She's also squishy. But when it comes to farming HM dungeons, I often farm stage 6 rather than 10. It's more consistent, a LOT faster, and still drops great gear.

im at stage 19 and appear to have some sort of curse on my account almost 100 runs yielded all useless gear would you consider doing a real in depth gear vid showing gear that you would keep over other gear all videos ive seen so far are very hard to understand and don't explain why they would keep a piece over another outside of it has speed on it
I've done several gearing videos. Just do a quick search on my YT page and you should find some good stuff. I could probably do an update soonish, though.

That team feel pretty solid, but you don't have a single-target nuker to help kill the dragon. That's probably the slowdown. If you get your Lydia, she could replace both Uugo and Eostrid, and then you could bring in another hitter like Whisper (or whoever) to speed things up. Another option would be to swap out Eostrid for Mithrala - you'll lose the block debuffs, but you'll end up doing a decent amount of extra damage.
@ColredPlaysRSL oh 100%. I'm noticing though the failure tends to happen with the extra turns from Seer stripping all the buffs at the wrong time. Whisper in does help some but same issue without more dmg since I'm missing drop def or weaken

Man raid has nerfed the mithichal drop rate on hard 10 , have done runs worth around 2.5k energy on dragon hard 10 with no single drop
Yeah, that happened to me last month. It does feel bad. Not sure if the rates have changed, or if they've just always been awful.
I run hard 10 because I need that nice mythical gear :). Mithrala, ragash, siphi, bad el and acrizia. Totally not flexing
