- What a fantastic opportunity to own a property in a fabulous location in the heart of beautiful Abruzzo for this crazy price.
Usually properties of this price are found in not so great locations but this is in the historical center of this very popular town where all amenities can be found and just 30 minutes to the beach and 45 minutes to ski resorts.
The local area is beautiful and within 15 minutes you can reach many other towns and villages.
The link to the property is ahomeinitaly.com/property/310...

Great little apartment for a single person. Nice town!
The village is quaint, and the views are stunning. I think what I would do for a single person, is take the big bulky chair out of the kitchen, put a sleeper sofa in the bedroom so that can be more of a living room. and make a small sitting area along with the kitchen table in the front area as you come in. Thanks for showing it.
Italians don’t need living room. Kitchen is their living room
« Aaahhh !…those little villages that allow to watch my wife for free

Manifesting a home in 🇮🇹 ❤❤❤❤ . i love italian food and scenery
Great presenting Dave, good to see you're still going strong. Regards to all.
Love it the village views are incredible. Very affordable.
I would like to see more of small properties like this one .
Habitable! Lovely Christmas decorations in the village.
Wow, what a great home at an amazing price. I am beginning the journey to obtain Italian citizenship to go back to Palena, the village of my ancestors. This area seems so beautiful.
I am also looking to do the same thing. My family is from this area. Please let’s talk.
@@lillianli3008 absolutely, let’s talk. It would be so great to have someone to compare notes with.
Palena is a great town, I live around 40 minutes from there.
Why did your ancestors leave ? There must have been a good reason..romanticism ?
@@griswald7156 my ancestors left because at the time there were more opportunities for them in the U.S. They were in search of the American dream just like most immigrants from many nations. They stayed and built a life here. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to return to an area to reconnect with family. In the end, family is everything!
Wow, move in ready ! I LIKE !
Fabulous scenery .
Spectacular location... Incredible Price!
Very nice cabinets and doors..!!!!!!
My mother’s father’s family was from Palombaro. Thanks for showing the village.
And now Italy is dying whats wrong with having more beautiful white babies 😂
Ohhh what I’d do to that apartment❣️ I’ve got it renovated in my mind.
Man, I love this!!
What an amazing place. Would definitely bring out the stone walls and redo the kitchen. Would hire an interior designer to set the styling (old country) for a cozy homestead.
Nice reel. Thanks for the taste
Great value this. Nice little love shack
that's the view I'm looking for in a property , ,,,,mountains,,,,that city is on my wishlist after that video,,I'm going to Italy in the fall,,when my work season is over,,,,
Very nice and cheap place.
Absolutely stunning place and great video! So glad I stumbled upon your Facebook page with a link to this video. Been looking for places like this from Andalucia to Greece. Thought Liguria would be ideal but I’m open to the perfect place. However, the apartment is a bit too small for me. Don’t mind a small project but prefer a house with at least a nice terrace or small garden and views like these.
Would love to see some more expensive properties in the mix. Thanks.
It’s perfect tiny property for one. It’s completely renovate with A/C - property very cluttered but there’s potential and bathroom and bedroom it all looks great. I’d buy it. 😊
What about the property next door to the left? It’s boarded down is it for sale ?
WOW!
Cute little apt if you look past the clutter. Only two windows front and back makes it claustrophobic though.
Im late adding comments but I love that small place is right in middle of town. I was downsized in jobs and had to eventually get rid of my car and live in very small studios. That is a dream compared to my situation. Best thing though I too was in heart of town in an art village so all was steps away! I rarely stayed in my place except sleeping. I would put all kitchen items on the wall where chair is. Stove, fridge, sink. Then work out a sitting area next to window. Maybe enlarge that window as much as possible maybe even balcony. Also as some said make bedroom part sitting room too. Even vintage furniture includes gate leg tables. Make it vintage, eccectic, cute! Would be nice if storage was more finished and maybe access. Like the way they have to attics. Come up in bedroom corner or something?
Nice, who needs loads of space to clean, when you can be outdoors and not stuck inside.
Damnit I wish I would have seen this a while back! Would have bought it right away
I’ll take it!
Subscribed. After driving around the world for a decade we are looking to settle in Italy. Wife german, myself English. Sicily is our favourite spot, but this looks appealing. Feel free to message us at any time.
also looking just a little balcony, maybe small yard one bedroom ig good thought but price is perfect
i like it
From others buying in Italy I do hear that the bureaucracy is a nightmare and you just have to be patient if you really want something…
I have been doing this over 18 years and do not find it a nightmare at all. Maybe you should join our weekly live streams and find out more.
Very tempting .
Looking for nearer to the coast .
You could use the space of kitchen/livingroom and rearrange furniture. It would be a challenge but it could be done.
Very nice place, I would put a Murphy bed in the bedroom, declutter the entrance area or organize storage better, put a couple of cozy chairs against the wall where the bed is, and have a nice lounge area with mountain views for those times of the day when you are not sleeping, which let's face it, is most of the day...
I once lived in Abruzzo precisely Roccaraso. What a great region. Fara San Martino is the home of the famous pasta brand with that name. Madonna, the artist, her parents come from Cocullo, a town near Palena. And Abruzzo region is in the middle of Italy. One of the important towns on the sea nearby is Pescara, that has direct flights to many European countries and the UK. Pescara is also a seaport for ferries to Albany and other Mediterranean ports of many countries.
Yes, Abruzzo has become very popular with foreigners in recent years but we seem to have sent all our snow from Friuli there in recent years.
U must not have got out much when u were there.
1. Fara San Martino is home to the two large and internationally known pasta factories DeCecco and DelVerde. There is also smaller artisan Cocco pasta and organic producer BioAlimenti. All use the fresh and pure spring water from the adjacent mountain. San Martino pasta made in Naples area I believe.
2. Madonna's grandparents were from Pacentro, on eastern mountainside above Sulmona. Cocullo is on opposite side of valley, just off autostrada A25.
3. Pescara is a major city with about 300k population that easily swells close to 400k in summer months with all the beachgoers. Yes airport has international connections around Europe but used to be even better about 15-20 years ago with direct charter flights in summer to/from North America, Toronto and Montreal, Canada for sure. Then a few "businezz men" got very greedy with landing fees, jet fuel service prices and food replenishment .....
Do you mean Albania?
Hoping more like this become available…affordable, in town, turnkey, air conditioning
Not at this price, lol.
Hello. We are seriously interested as we have been considering Portugal &/or Spain but Italy was not in our radar. The view is gorgeous and the property needs very little
Work to make livable
Argentina baby!
Please tell us about the ongoing monthly fees associated with this property. Homeowner association? Building maintenance? Property tax? Thanks!
Most vloggers skip this info .The taxes and legal fees etc etc .Can easily be 40-50 % of the purchase price
@@carforumwanker At purchase, the legal and other fees could be in that range due to very low selling price for property. Yearly property tax depends if it is your primary residence or if considered a second home. There will be monthly gas, water and electric bills even if just minimums when no one is there (as you'll find in most other countries). Town usually has municipal fees for garbage removal, etc but may have reductions if u are only there in summer months. There is another unit above this one (door to left of entrance door) so there may be some cost sharing for roof maintenance. The upper unit may have terrace instead of tiled roof so would be little to none - but all fine details that should be looked into before making an offer.
Cute, quaint apartments. I would love to see the dimensions.
Im interested, but are they any covenants or village cost, and is it freehold or leasehold and Is it a cash buyers only?
Sweet little place if you want something that doesn’t need too much work.
Almost perfect as a mediterranean hideout.
I'd a need a storage at street level so I can park a motorcycle in it though.
Excellent home to buy but an you give us rundown on how to buy if you are not italiano greetings from mexico
Hey nice video.
couple of questions if thats ok.
Is the firebplace working ? saw it was blocked with a cover or something.
also what kind of internet connection is it possible to get in a village like that ? as I would need to work online.
Yes the chimney works, it has a cover because noone is in there. There is fibre optics in the village.
What are the long term rentals for expats like an apartment you just showed?
Very beautiful thank you 😍 sound a easy,!! Taste easy?? 😙
i love this! would love maybe 2 bed for $24K??? :) We willbe scouting in April! Thank you
Love it. How much would it be altogether do you think? How much for yearly maintenance? Do you think? I'm retired and looking for a place to holiday.
Please email info@ahomeinitaly.com for more information
@@AhomeinItaly is it still available
Absolutely awesome. Any contact information??? Who do we contact ?
is this still for sale i would like to buy it
How do i contact you in order to buy a property ?
Thanks! I think it is wonderful and I wouldn't change one thing in the house. I am looking for small after living in all big homes. Does the furniture comes with it and are black people able to live in that area? I worked in Germany and shopped in Paris. Let me know the answer to the question asked. Kathye Brown
Hi , I am Australian and would love to get myself a little mostly turn key place like that , and on my visits do some Reno work if or as needed , but able to rent it out as well when I’m not there , not sure how long you can stay b4 they make you leave ,,, I know this was filmed months ago , so are there more places like this his still available?
I am loving your videos and talk thru , very helpful thanks
Not for this price. If you want mostly turn key, it will be more than double the price of this.
Nice street decorations overhead, are they common in Italy?
Yes, very common. I live in Palombaro and the women croquet panels to make huge Christmas tree's and street decorations every year!
It has a wood boiler.....I had one here in New Hampshire......I would gut the whole place, as an Interior Designer......good location, that's all it's got.....
The unit mounted on wall in storage room is gas fired and used both for domestic hot water and hot water for radiators.
Is this sold yet ?
Show more of the town itself
Put a murphy bed in the bedroom ….. you have a loving room / bedroom
In Batumi - Georgia you can have your money back in 5 years too!
What if you want to purchase this little house with the furnishing? I am seeking a small place close to everything since living in Germany for a few years but shop in Italy.
I live in Australia and have dual nationality as i grew up in England. Do I have to be a citizen of Italy to buy this property and move to by myself. I am very interested. Thank you and have a great day, Jeff.
Having tri nationality is a good idea Jeff…
I would like to buy
Hello, I am very interested but don't know where to starting with buying from the states, in preparation for a move
You’d be better off buying one as a vacation home as opposed to a permanent residence, especially if you don’t speak fluent Italian and you need a job in Italy.
What does a person with a car do for parking with that apartment? It would make a perfect home base for vacationing. Just enough to sleep and eat and then go on your adventures!
Parking is very close by ( 1 minute walk)
@@AhomeinItaly Would you pretty please show exactly where you park your car? Didn't see any dryer. I did see a rooftop clothes line. Is that where you hang your clothes to dry?
You'd better check the distance and travel duration from this town to the other places you might be wanting to visit. This part of Abruzzo is very mountainous and in wintertime moving around with a car can be difficult
Hi, have u already sold it?
Love your videos! We are looking for a place but a bit bigger ❤
Everybody knows about the huge numbers of people who moved from the UK to France and Spain but hardly ever to Italy.
Ask yourself why ? And if you tried to rent it out then the taxes local, regional, and national and the permits and licences would be much more than you would take in rent. Also the legal fees and purchase tax for the buyer are a minimum of four thousand euros.
There is a reason why non of the UK TV shows never feature people buying in Italy. Looking yes, buying no.
OMG Italians don’t wanna live there, only the poor and old people are left behind and they never accept you on top life is socked out of those villages. No good public services like libraries, transportation, no International airports within 3 hours drive, renting a car but no parking in front of the house etc, etc….gonna be a nightmare in the making, cold cold cold in the Winter from Oct. - March, heating omg, i am sorry. Please If you dream, dream bigger.
Every place has pros and cons. No one city or country is going to be perfect!
I question your math at the end, but it's a lovely possibility for someone.
Could set a kebab shop in storage area. Run suckling pig street BBQ catering business from there.
Sounds great!
Is this still on the market? Thank you.
Hello , just discovered you, lovely videos. Just a question, I was listening to some financial person on youtube who said, buying in Italy might not be a good long term investment as its quite possible that Italy will leave the EU , so that changes the value of the market should they go back to the lira. I wonder what you think of this? 😊😊
We are not leaving the EU!
@@friuliancottage good news... thought it best to ask directly, rather than believe what I heard👍
Italy can’t leave the EU, they are way too dependant on it, didn’t go too well for the UK.
Not leaving the EU ever, guaranteed 100%.
@@Italianhome I wonder what this fella is going on about then? 🙄💁♀️
The property still in sale?
Have you any other similar properties to this please? I did email you about this the other week but didn’t get a reply . Many thanks
Fiat uno❤️
How is the internet quality?
Easily...easily...easily.
Working fireplace?
Is that the sale of the property or the down payment?
So what's the catch?
Get rid of some of the clutter, remove the fireplace if possible, it's rather pointless since you can't sit and enjoy it then it would make a decent little apartment.
What is Hoa fee?
How much would rent be for this place? Thanks!!
Watch the video.
It´s in there.
@@MrHoodlum73 you are very efficient
Is there some parking in the area?
Yes 30 seconds walk around the corner... Free...!
How many square meters is this house?
How do I buy it??

Bonjourno, Sir is this apartment available
where would you park a car? how difficult is it for an US citizen to reside in Italy?
forget it, looked it up, not doing all of that
@@sinistersilverado965Omg, did you think permanently living in another country was going to be easy? No duh it takes time and effort, lol. You might be better off just going back and forth if you’re that lazy and unmotivated.
When living in homes like these, where does the inhabitants keep their cars?
Parking is 25 meters away
Sold?
Can a UK citizen buy this property and live here?
You would need to apply for a visa then residency.
@@bid84 Thanks m8 👍
B&B next door is cheaper..
It sold
What sort of rent would you expect from this?
Do you people actually watch the video, Such a stupid question????
That was NOT a working fireplace......
Yes it is. Has a cover when not in use to stop downdrafts. Dampers traditionally not installed to close off flue since fireplaces used to be used everyday for cooking and heating, etc
1146 inhabitants ......
It's a beautiful small village in a great location which is why it attracts lots of foreign buyers.
No living room for this?
