    VP on salary transparency but doesn’t want to be transparent? Ironic. He definitely seems like someone who thinks too highly of himself from the vibe he’s giving off.

      I wonder what bank he works for. He says he's been working for 10 years but 6 after graduation. My aunt is the vp of a bank. She makes really good money. I just can't imagine these two doing the same job lol

      VP at a bank is really only like two or three levels above entry level. Same for VPs at PR firms. It’s not really like a VP at a regular business.

      @@CA2SD So easy to explain. NDA's. He's on camera. Many companies have NDA's for salaries and bonuses once you reach a high level, usually at levels similar to partners, principals, etc. Him working in Salary Transparency may mean that he's working towards making his own company or other companies do better about revealing salary ranges for job requisitions. Aside from public facing CEO's and stuff where you can Google their salaries, many people under that level in senior management have to sign documents to not disclose what they make to have a competitive edge against their competition. It's business. Maybe one day you'll get to that level and understand.

  • @km1cn
    @km1cn Рік тому +14

    People are railing the VP for not disclosing his salary and yes it's a bit funny since he's in charge of salary transparency, but this tells me that no one here has worked at a high enough level to have NDA's. I'm a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and starting at this level we sign things to not be able to say how much our salaries and bonuses are. If we assume that he is truly a VP and the company knows what they're doing, he has 100% signed that NDA. Yes some people leak info here and there, but come on. This guy is on camera and someone is bound to know him. If he violates the NDA he's out of that job.

    Mixed feelings about VP guy. He shouldn’t have participated if he wasn’t going to give a number but I know where he is coming from too. As a leader, in presumably a larger organization, it is not good a good idea to disclose that information. It’s always in poor taste as a manager or leader to do that if you come from a larger organization.

      The interview was filmed in New York City, which is a outlier on teacher salaries. The 80k to 100k salaries stated by teachers/administrators doesn’t go far in NYC. The cost for a mediocre 1 bedroom apartment is $2k to $2.5k/month

    • @Babyluv_
      @Babyluv_ Рік тому +4

      it's not the teachers' fault! There are so many factors that most ppl who are NOT teachers do not know about, that contribute to why the students these days are not that intelligent. Stick to what you actually do know.
