  • I use this Leica scope 1-2 times per week. I just wanted to review it for you!
Molar endo. What can I say. At times, hair pulling and complicated. Other times - it's a breeze and you feel like you're on top of the world. In the beginning of a career - it's usually more of the first part.

1-2 times a week? i have not your fancy one, only the basic one. i use it as often as possible. Everything in dental treatment is way better with microscope, try full ceramic crown preparation, soft tissue management, everything is better with magnification. And, fun fact, i don`t charge extra money for using it. so you can guess i`m not a wealthy dentist, but have a lot of stoked and super satisfied patients. I love when they ( patients) fall asleep during endotreatment. shoes me how much they trust my abilities to do painless treatments. I don´t drive porsche, my microcope is my porsche and it benefits foremost the nice people i have the honor to treat the best i can do. greetings...

Amazing! Thank you for your comment. Yes - I use my scope for every procedure- I should have been clearer - I only do endo at his clinic 1-2 times per week and get to use that Cadillacs My “goto” everyday is my global scope. And you’re right - every thing is better with a scope. I can actually see what I’m doing - for everything. Where are you located in the world?

You are making it look like not charging "a lot" it's something to be proud....here in México prostho resto specialist Charge from 20 to 30usd for a composite resin filling, 150usd for a porcelain veneer, a third molar surgery done by omfs goes for 60usd. Majority of dentists in México are poor, most of those use chinese products and cheap Quality materials..... "Offers" are a thing, ive seen cleanings from 5usd up to 20usd, and patients still fuzz about it

I'm grateful for Maged purchasing this scope. Honestly, it's super powerful, but the price tag is a little steep.😮

great microscope, good for your colleague who decided to invest in something like this ... many times prosthodontists want endodontists to perform miracles in their clinic and they do not provide good working conditions..

Could you make a video on how to work with microscope? Meaning how to position it and the patient to seemin the best angles? I find it hard to work with it for example on lower molars

You are absolutely right , but with practice comes perfection, don’t give up on using ur microscope on lower molars , I had mine in the clinic sitting for about a year before I decided to use it on day to day basis , now I don’t do anything without it , try to ask ur patient to open a little more and tell them to tilt their head down instead of looking up , sometimes I ask the patient to play with their phone to keep the head down as much as possible, the tricky part is using the mirror to work on the distal part of lower teeth is completely different from upper teeth which is a breeze. Hope that helps alittle in ur struggle!

Hi, about the stiffness you were complaining in the video: It is not a issue, simply it's not setted up correctly....I have a much older Leica microscope that have similar balancing system called DBS.
When setted up correctly you can literally move your scope with your eyes, keeping two hands on procedure most of the time.
This system allow you to set the center of gravity on 3 axis. Let me know if you need any help to set this microscope correctly
