Well, that turd turned out awesome. Color and the stripes suits perfectly with the interior color. I liked the tip with the tape and the console. Please share those tips more in the future. And maybe picture of the burn pile.
Bar None You Got My Vote for Best Entry of this Build Challenge. I didn't Enter as I build to Slowly But I Did Have a 55 Panel Alteration in Progress Converting it into A Explorer Woody 4dr SUV Family Wagon
Honestly Tim, this turned out absolutely beautiful. If this was a real truck from the 60s, which it very well could have been it would definitely be one i probably would have wanted to recreate. I loved that you tried to keep injecting as much ford DNA as possible even down to using the Canadian Mercury grill, and those headlights worked so well with it too. The interior work was simple yet so affective and when i eventually build my orange hailer im definitely going to be using the pinstripe technique for the chrome insets.. just bought those panels to life. The colour, lowered fenders, pancaked hood bed, the list goes on and on has resulted in one of the most stunning ford trucks I've ever seen. Love how you do your videos too mate, really enjoyable from start to finish and always gets me coming back for more. Keep up the inspiring work mate and hopefully speak soon ☺️
Tim, you NEVER seise to amaze me EVER! Your builds, "and I mean every single one" you've made a video of, has inspired me to up my game! Thank you for your EXCELLENT work. Thank you for these amazing videos, that inspire many? And thank you for your really cool imagination that keeps us all tuning into your awesome videos! May the madness go on forever? I can't wait to see what comes next? Btw, Happy New Year. Stay safe, and ROCK ON!
Having seen this in person at the MDA show, you may feel it's a turd but it really turned out well, and you nailed a cohesive theme. It was great meeting you BTW!
Thanks! It was nice to meet you as well. The turd name is kind of a joke since that is what I called the kit when I first started the project. It felt it was funny to keep the name with the theme. Glad you enjoyed seeing it at the show.
Amazing Outcome! ThunderFurd! 4:46 Not a Mercury, Meteor was a separate brand. Ford, Meteor, Mercury and Lincoln. Some models were Mercury Meteors but the Meteor Brand had 4 lives in Canada…for the most part they were Ford bodies with Mercury roofs and unique chrome and interiors.
I skipped clicking on this a couple times, wondering why it kept coming up in my usacc searches, cause any fool can see that's not a 55 Ford pick-up. Well I guess I'm the fool! I think everyone has already covered what an awesome job you did here, with every part of the build. About the only thing I can add is that I think you have inspired more of us to try more new things and techniques on our next build. thank you for showing us your skills!
LOL! Yep, it is certainly a Monogram '55 Ford Pickup, just modified a bit. Hope you check out other videos showing the process of how I built it. Good luck on your next build!
Outstanding build Tim. You have an eye for customs and detail. Great idea using tape on the console. Your body work skills are amazing. I know you woukd be awesome as a 1:1 car customizer. Thanks for sharing.

Stunning. I love the creative use of everyday parts in ways that make them look unique. That’s fantastic. So what’s the plan for all those leftover parts…? 😉
Dude, this thing is wild! You have as much effort and talent involved in the concept and planning as you do in the actual work I think. Really really nice and so different. Thanks man.
