This that shit right here!
Bartender was at the Watts Summer Festival 1974 , and we BATTLE the Original E/S , W/S , & COMPTON ; all Cripdogs !!!most of us got chased down by Firestone Sheriffs , In the middle of our melee
Blood got stories for days...it was going down back then
RRight sidE I’m trynKa taPin Big EasKt sidE Elm sKt P1RU
@@milleniumman911 still is whKat u sayinK?
Who one that battle OG? Did yall get outnumbered by the crips?
BIG KEV you and S-MAC gonna get that Pulitzer Prize for documenting California gang history. This is school worthy for sure when you talking State History for California. KMV has done it again. 💯
Growing up as a kid,My father & his friends would speak well on Bartender,From the way they spoke on him he was a very likeable guy ! I didn't get to see what he looked like until KMV came into existence ! R.I.P. Bartender 🙏
Wow this history is crazy growing up at one time living in the "Walls" on Euclid Ave, up the alley from the Redhouse. Got mad memories of walking pass the Redhouse going either to the Drive-thru dairy, liquor store or to "Baby Boys" pool hall, pizza shop, or barber shop. The Walls was like the projects, low income, hard working households, and single parent households, food stamps, gov't cheese, and S&H/ or Blue chip stamps!. Everybody would come through, Big Tookie on swole, even Cats from the L.A. Lockers. There would be shoot outs, police raids, sherm sold everywhere, just all types of activity in that spot. I used to watch the big dudes lift weights in the back yard of the Redhouse, hell I was in the fourth grade going to Lindbergh moving from one side of Compton leaving Roosevelt. DAMN KEV MAC, you be on it!! This here is like a time machine. That's why I phucc's with KEV MAC the research is like Sherm in the 70's. the💣!!
Man this bring back so many memories! I remember my relative Antonette Jones, told me the story of what Bartender told his mom! That he was most likely going to be killed that day! He said “He didn’t want anyone to be sad, that he want everyone to party and celebrate his life” She had that exact obituary of him”🔥🔥🔥KevMac!!!
I remember his send off. Caravan of what seemed like hundreds of cars with red rags on there antennas flying in the wind. Church packed inside and out. His face was full of kisses with that dark purple or black lipstick...they was playing schoolboy crush by AWB when we was standing in a line trying to get in. That was one of the songs I remember being played but it was more 😞 RIP BARTENDER
WoW that information hit deep 😮

Soon as I seen bartender I was like ohhh
KMV you got something right here with these segments about the Originals on both sides of the rag. Love and Respect to you Kev Mac.
E/S Luedars Park Piru 💥
Arguably the most active & Influential Piru set at it’s peak ‼️
They started the M.O.B
They started the Burgundy Flag
And was heavy at Deathrow Records
Some say CPT was more
Blue vs Red wars than L.A ,
“but that’s arguable”
Rest In Power to Bartender ⛅️
Great story kev
From what I hear, it was strictly Piru vs Crip from 72-86 in compton
@@dscgodflow6663 Piru vs Crip started officially dropping bodies in 1973 …
In L.A it was Brims vs Crips since 72 but the Crip vs Crip thing in 1979 turned it into a whole other ballgame…
Lueders Park started Holly Hood, Elm, Cross Alantic, MOB only set that didn’t come from Lueders on the E/S is Lime Hood because they were Compton Bishops

Another great presentation of a legend, keep feeding that great content👌🏾
These spotlights are 🔥, this is one name that comes up all the time, and this segment gave some clarity and context outside of the mentions in other people's stories...Good show, Team KMV!

Did Bartender have another brother name Malcolm ?
I knew Malcolm. They also said Bartender had a brother name Jamie.
Blessed indeed K-Mac - blessed indeed.
I know he just came out from a long solidarity confinement but LB From WS Piru is a MUST
I dont think he will ever speak. Remember he was locked up for killing OG Salty
Excellent profile as usual!!!!
"he was the homeboy, again I don't know where he got the name Bartender because he wasn't making no drinks". 😂😂😂 He must have been the life of the party.

As always my mentor puts out great content
This was an amazing Documentary. I like the words of the Elder Brother at the end," I don't care about where you're from.I don't care about what you did yesterday, I care about what you are doing today. " these are words that I have been living by daily.
L. I. P TO THE BIG HOMIE BARTENDER ‼️💯

Nothing but good interviews
Yes Curtis Patrick Was A Piru 1st
I met the "Bartender" in 1976, about 3 weeks before he was killed. A ladies man, I met him with Bobby Alwine at the Del Amo Mall.
KEV MAC LEGENDARY
Great video
Thanks for the visit
🔥🔥🔥 for sure. Thanks for bringing historical context to the neighborhoods/sections and the individual or individuals instrumental in their foundation! Being that Ludres Park is considered a hub for neighborhoods/sections that branched off? Is it fair to say the Ludres Park brought the red-bandana to brothas in Compton? Or are they considered the largest neighborhood/section in Compton to represent with the red bandana?
Dope content from The Godfather of this ish. ! Salute Kev Mac
Like always shout out to the founder of KMV shout out Smac what that 60 like fool Kev been showing love to the red rags shout out King Babalouie from Piru for lacing the channel with real history

Protection, peace 🕊️ around all!
Good shit Kev. Love the info on the famous red house or Crip house but this was good. Sad to hear Bartender was trying to get out of the gang life and was still snuffed out.
"I started bangin so hard it was a shame" - RIP BIG REBO
Big Reno was my real friend during the Late 1970s & 80s
@ORIGINAL BOUNTY HUNTER FROG #1 That's what's up. He seemed like a real down to earth dude. Not too many solid people.left in the world worthy enough to call friends 👍🏾
@@ronaldgreenjr1423 that last sentence rings so Tru😔
Shout Out Bob Simmons 👍👍👍
We moved to Compton when I was 4 in 1977. My mother taught at Compton High. Moved to the valley a couple years later but it's interesting to hear what was going on around me when I was on the playground an unaware.
I can tell by the love everyone seems to have for this man , and the Fact that I remember the old Cop saying his Crazy SGT Kidnapped this Dude . And no one ever said he told anyone about this, goes to show he knew people would move on his behalf . But they also would suffer for it so it seems he if it happened chose to keep it to himself 💯🍺
The melly mel skit when he said that he saved Bartender from being shot and that Bartender had love for the little Crip homies was 🔥...but I know you could only put so much on their ....
This was nice!!! Me and my friend use to go over to Joey's house and smoke weed.. Malcolm his brother would walk down our street to go and come back in the day. The first time, I ever spoke with Malcolm Joey's brother, was in Intra drugs parking lot the year he passed...Strange we never spoke until that one time and he talked a whole lot..lol.
Love the content!! 🎥 Interesting history on both ends
Would love to see you talk about some of these guys like Nardy Washington & Gerald Washington- Monkey Man from Lueders Park ( supposedly they said he was the founder way before bartender and the nunn family ) also The CV70LPP alliance - RUlettes & Cripettes
List is long but you knocking the list down haha appreciate it !!!
Peace & love
I thought Monkey Man was from the Frootz 🤔
@@kashondemand356 that’s what I’m saying lol they all got the same name kinda
Great content 💯 you have tought me alot Kev Mac I'm slowly growing my platform 💯💯💯
My mom dated Joey. She said he wasn’t about that street life for real and that he was a good dude.
"It ain't what you did yesterday. It's what you do today."
Thought you could spend more of the video on bartender got a little confused about the time spent on the red house in the video
💯💯💯
Rip bartender
On PIRU
........stayHI family
Love wat u doing on both sides
Kev mac we need a video on puddin. It’s not too much info out on him but the stories I have heard are infamous
Santa Clara County.. San Jose 💯
Damn I’m looking at that map thinking, you really can’t leave your block. Imagine growing up just surrounded but 4 to 5 different sets wow.
Indeed. And geographically, Compton is a small city. You are talking about turning a few corners and being in a totally different gang turf. That's one reason Compton was so violent back in the 80's and early 90's. Too many sets competing for too little turf.
Yeah I grew up around the corner from OG Bartender some of us was separated by houses the area was a mix of CV3’s ,CV7O’s ,PIRUS,Cross Bishops Midtown’s, Oaks Park Boys,Kay Line. And Lowriders all over
The HUB is only 10 square miles and within it between the Pirus Crips and Compton Varrios you have about 60 some communities aka gangs
Yea Bartender lived in the Santana’s turf for a bit … Thats one reason how he n Melly Mel knew each other …
@@damuaskari2275 man that’s a pressure cooker them are really inhumane conditions to live in.
Finally
The story is deeper than that - very short piece on Joey.
He Kev can you do one on SS from Denver Lane or Taboo from Athens park...
That was pretty good. You ever think about doing Bobby Lavender?
Finally someone ask about a person that never crossed my mind. Yeah I will bust down a Bobby Lavender. I had told Jimmy about two years ago let’s hook it up but never thought of doing a profile on him.
@@KevMacVideos me being from down south it's so many that would love to hear about cats like Puddin,Tam,Big Devil, Number 1 it's so many to name

Exactly 💯 Kev don't portray that type of image at all ! He just gives the history and is highly respected for it ...
I was hoping to see Carver Park on the map but I Still love the gang maps nonetheless.
