Went to camp as a youngin listening to rap music (gang banging music), hit the county while listening to hood rap and later I did 5 years in the pen while listening to hood music. I feel like our culture has become intertwined especially gangster rap. The most fascinating thing about this is that they were putting in work while listening to music that did not harbor hate. This shows that the hate we have for each other is ingrained in us with or without the type of music that perpetuates a culture of violence. It is more of a systemic issue but I do believe the music influences in many ways...
