Whatever you do, do not give up your financial independence. Money is power. Make sure you keep yours.

Yes.............
Regularly pay into a private pension. Even £10 can turn into £80 after 30 years.
Everyone in the UK can pay in 3-4Kpa, employed or not. And the Govt tops it up by 20%.
Also an ISA for short-term and emergency savings.
Register with HMRC as with a UA-cam channel with income you are technically self-employed. If successful, you will end up paying tax and the real thing to aim for is to pay National Insurance every year to build up your entitlement to the full State Pension in your own right.
Also buy joint death and critical illness insurance that pays out if something happens to one of you.
Proverbs 31 woman was not only a homemaker and mother, she also ran small home-based businesses to generate an income. In fact, this is what most women in the world do and many women here in the UK used to do.
