Yes, all is well. I apologize for that. I have a student now, and I'm trying to get a hang of all of that. But I'm doing good, brother. I appreciate you checking in on me🙏🏽💪🏽

That's good bro! I love to hear it. And I think imma go local when I first get married, or before so I can be local when I'm married (I'm engaged now) what local jobs are you looking at?
@@bigsmoothtruckin When i get back home in 3 weeks i gotta go do my fingerprint for my hazmat and take the remaining test at the dmv for the rest of my endorsements. Im located in Lafayette, Louisiana so ill try to find a fuel hauling job or do something with food service in the area
I have no experience currently waiting to start at my local technical college to get my CDL.. could I start with kllm afterwards? Or do you recommend getting CDL through kllm?
DEFINITELY get it through KLLM. They pay you to get it and then you're hired immediately. If you get it yourself, you'll need 3 months of experience before starting with KLLM.
@@bigsmoothtruckin how long is the the process with them as far as getting CDL? And what’s the pay while you’re getting them? Just wondering cause I have a house I still have to pay rent on …
21 days in school (I can't remember the pay, but either 250 or 500) and 6 weeks of training on the road, and that's 800 a week, no taxes if you have a MS drivers license.
It's 70 hours a week, and you get 2 days off for each 7 days worked. Some weeks you'll work 70 hours, other weeks you may not. With trucking, it's very different from regular jobs (non local trucking, I mean)
Absolutely. I genuinely really like this company. I've been meaning to do a 1 year review, but yes, I'd definitely recommend them. A great first company and a good long-term company.
That's strange. Are you sure it was KLLM and not FFE, their sister company? Now, maybe it changed for the time being, but FFE was 55cpm, and KLLM was 60cpm. Again, maybe they changed for right now, but last I checked... Even with 55cpm, that's about average with most starter companies, to be honest.
@@bigsmoothtruckin I plan on getting my 15 months done with KLLM and then coming back and doing dump trucks. The companies out here pay $32 an hour with 0 experience dumping asphalt. I just gotta get some $$$ saved up for bills during the training portion of KLLM.
Nice bro. I mean, I don't know what the chances are but it's possible. I don't live near Jackson MS so it'll likely be the same distance to either terminal so anythings possible if the company allows me to.
@omarzrig4440 Are you in school right now? My reference number is my name and truck number. My name: Ty-Gee. My truck number: 13817 And you can definitely request for me if I'm available bro🙏🏽💪🏽
That's good! It sometimes can take 2-3 months to get started at the school so it'll be a good idea to apply now and they'll let you know the start date and such. They're usually a wait. Justa heads up.
I would call and ask them what they suggest, but I'd say before you're 21 since you'll turn 21 in school. That way you can start as soon as possible and start earning money
Safety is always first!!! So happy that you are so skilled and cautious.
Absolutely, safety is my number one priority. Do you see how beautiful the snow is? It's pretty like you.
I start orientation Monday!!!! ❤❤❤
Congratulations sis!!!
Are you still lease purchase?
Yes sirrrrr. Imma go ahead and pay her off
Congratulations on a fruitful first year. Sent my application in yesterday. God willing, I’ll be there in February at the Memphis location.

@@bigsmoothtruckin Typo. Mississippi..
@chasminrodgers8555 ohhh bet bet bet. That's what's up brodie
KLLM does have a yard in Memphis. They have local intermodal drivers there. At least they did when I drove for KLLM a couple years ago.
@@philiplewis3679 I meant for the academy. I’m coming out of Georgia.
Any update on training?
Yes sirrr. It's been going pretty well. I have been meaning to make an update video, I just haven't gotten to it yet.
Quick question , what happen if you decide to quit before your contract?
You'd have whatever remaining balance to pay
Glad you're doing great! No vids for a month though, hope all is well.

How often do you get stuck with a 3:00 AM pickup?
Man I’m on the road training rn hopefully I’ll see you on the road or truck stop. You drive smooth and stay safe brother!
Rarely for me. But even still. I probably won't leave until 5-6am, I have enough time to drive when I feel like it, and that happens often

drive safe out there bro, keep up the great work
Thank you, bro, I appreciate that.
Does kllm hire nee cdl drivers that didn’t get their CDL going to the Kllm academy?
Yes, but I believe you'd need at least 3 months of experience if you get your cdl outside of KLLM
yeah made some good money, it’ll be 7 months with kllm for me in a few days, probably leaving soon for something local or regional

So if my math is correct than you made about $35-$37 an hour if it was hourly pay.
I believe so when I did the math myself. Not bad at all.
