I wouldn’t have crossed Loretta Lynn. She might’ve been little,, but she came from the mountains of eastern Kentucky, and believe me, those women were very formidable.
Yes we are.
Loretta Lynn wrote songs about her life. This is a song about an incident that really happened.
Yep. You didn't mess with Loretta Lynn.
"You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man" "The Pill" "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' with Lovin' on your Mind"
Yessss!
Yes to all of the above!
Also, Rated X
Dear Uncle Sam.
Even though she smiles the whole time she is singing I believe her 😂❤️
Try this one from Loretta. "You're the reason our kids are ugly"!
That's a great one!!! 😂
My favorite duet from her and Conway Twitty. 😂
I love that one.
Loretta Lynn is real 😊
she was a badass!
Got her point across and no bad language
Miss Loretta grew up in my neck of the woods. I'm pretty sure if ya done her wrong , she'd slap the taste out of your mouth.
Loved Loretta. R.I.P
Spunky. I love her.
You don't mess around with Loretta 😊
All her songs she wrote and sang from and by personal experiences.
You should check out the movie "Coalminers Daughter" it's about Loretta's story.
Coal miners daughter ,great film
I love everyone of them
This has to be my favorite insult song ever. So good.
"But the man I love, when he picks up trash, he puts it in the garbage can"
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!
Loretta is the GOAT. She'd scrap with anyone in a blink of an eye.
Loretta Lynn - Don't Come a Drinkin' , You Ain't Woman Enough, One's on the Way, The Pill.
This song was written about , and sung for, her children's school bus driver
Try her sister Crystal Gayle" Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" . Loretta was pure country!!
Loretta wrote of her life…her husband was “difficult”. Please react to the controversial song: The Pill
Imagine…When the Pill came out, women had to have their husband’s permission to take it!
“Difficult”. Lol😂 Those quotations are doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
Dishes out threats with a sweet smile on her face
👊
She has a song about the Pill that is hilarious!
Believe it or not, ( it's true ) Loretta Lynn is a distant cousin of mine. Even though I've never met her. I think her grandfather and my great great grandfather were brothers or something like that. Her maiden name was Webb and my maiden name was Webb. Someone in my family tree did some genealogy on on it, and that's what was found. Love her by the way.
Loretta was the original bad ass!!! She'd whip your ass and fry you some chicken! All with a smile. I've met her many many times. She was funny, unfiltered, innocent, quick witted and sweet!
Loretta Lynn was friends with Kid Rock. Back in 2020 Loretta and Kid Rock played a joke on their fans by making them believe they got married. The prank was done on a Friday and was revealed on the following Monday that they didn't really get married. Loretta Lynn had a very funny sense of humor.
“When they pick up TRASH they put it in a Garbage Can!” LOL
You should really check out the movie Sissy Spacek. I live in Tennessee her home is a hop skip and jump from here. Love this lady. The dude ranch was a place we could take our young ones and feel safe while having fun.
Miss Loretta, God rest her soul, IS country and country IS Miss Loretta Lynn. All others pale in comparison.
Realize that still back in the 60's and 70's, women couldn't speak their mind freely but Loretta did in her songs. One example is her song The Pill. Talking about birth control was forbidden!
Another song of hers in this vein is "You ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man"
A funny story.....my parents went to see Loretta at a small venue that had long tables . I was just a baby ( im 58 now) so I was not there, but they talked about it over the years and would just laugh.
Anyway she had just came out with a song Called "You aint woman enough to take my man" well while she was singing it some woman yelled " I BET I CAN " and everyone started laughing. Well Loretta threw down the microphone , hiked up her long skirt and went over the tables and started flailing on the woman ! The band had to pull her off of the woman. The woman ran out of the place , Loretta went back to the stage and started singing like nothing happened LOL.
My #1 favorite song from Loretta. #2 is her duet with Conway Twitty called "You're the reason our kids are ugly" - LOL!
Now thats country🎉❤
Say how you really feel Loretta 😂. " Coal Miners Daughter " is a great tune, along with "You ain't woman enough " She was a legend in country music.
She wrote songs about her life. She didn't just make the threats she took carried them through.
You should listen to her duet with Conway Twitty called " You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" .
You have to check out "The Pill", by Miss Loretta.
Loretta grew up hard, tough, and poor. She looks like a sweet little woman, but there's not a doubt in my mind that she'd scrap like a wild cat if she felt like she wanted too.
This song was one of my faves as kid. She is my forever hero. Thanks for the great reaction.
She wasn’t joking.
You should watch the movie about her life, Coal Miners Daughter.
I tell you one thing Jim Croce sang about not messing around with Jim, I don't know about that, I sure wouldn't want to mess with Ms. Lynn. Should react to "The PIll". Oh she didn't pull no punches in her songs for sure.
And you should react to Loretta Lynn - You AINT Women Enough. More 🔥!
When Loretta put words in a song it was about her life experiences. And she meant every would too. Yes she was a little hell fire when it come down to it. She was always saying something that was comical. We couldn't but help to love her she was a sweetheart!
One of my favorites of hers is " Your Squaw Is On The Warpath Tonight "
The one song that Loretta Lynn sang that was controversial was "The Pill". You should check it out.
If you want to see a great movie about Loretta Lynn’s life, check out Coal Miners Daughter. It’s the true story of Loretta Lynn’s life and she is played by Sissy Spacek and her husband Mooney Lynn is played by Tommy Lee Jones it’s the true story of her life and it’s excellent
Love your videos guys you guys are amazing
Love Loretta thanks
You should hear her song The Pill.
My favorite is One's on the way
The follow up to “You Aint Woman Enough to Take My Man”.
Some of her other songs besides The Pill are Don't Come Home A Drinking With Lovin On Your Mind, and Coal Miners Daughter that the movie was made for, and too many others to mention. Big catalog.
Miss Loretta was always my mom's favorite singer.
when Mom listened to Loretta it was dancing time..great memories
Y'all should check out Loretta Lynn "Mad Mrs Jesse Brown"
Loretta Lynn was a spitfire for sure and and told it like it was. She wrote her songs about things i that happened in her life. She did have a softer side and also wrote many Gospel songs. You should check out God Bless America again, the third man, and Who says God is dead. More classic songs you might like are Dear Uncle Sam, Deep as your Pocket, Love what cha got at home. And One for the season I wont decorate your Christmas Tree!!!. Love me some Loretta!!!
You have to do one of her most controversial songs ! The Pill . Self explanatory lol !
If you think one of these little hillbilly girls would not give you a pop in the chops if you got on her bad side, you would be in for a rude surprise. Because they would. And don`t let that sweet little smile fool you. That`s the same smile a cat has when it`s about to pounce on a mouse. 🙂
Great reaction guys! I enjoy when you throw a country artist into your reaction mix. Another female artist you should check out is Alison Krauss. Before being passed by Beyonce a few years back, she had the most Grammy awards of any female with 27. She has an angelic voice.
Wow! 😯
FINALLY!!! I couldn't wait for you all to react to this!!!!
❤🌻
So sad to hear of Loretta Lynn's recent passing. She was a country legend & singer song writer who's music has spanned 6 decades. She was also friends with the great late Patsy Cline. Her younger sister Crystal Gayle also is a great singer. She grew up dirt poor & stayed humble & true to her roots. The autobiographical movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" is worth looking at.
Listen to The Pill and Ones On The Way.
Another 'no nonsense' female song you might like is "That don't impress me much" by Shania Twain. I'd also like to hear Sams' reaction to Shanias' outfit in the video.
Oh..! She meant every word of that song! Wrote it “at” a woman flirting with her husband. He was an alcoholic and cheater so most of her songs are about him and there relationship. Listen to Coal Miner’s daughter, don’t come home drinking, I want to be free.. she was also psychic like her mother. There is a documentary on UA-cam about the haunted house her and her husband bought as well very interesting
Dolly Parton-",Please don't take my man ". Tammy Wynette-Stand By Your Man. Loretta Lynn - Just come and try to take my man. I'll kick his ass and yours too!
she wrote this when a teacher or bus driver one of the two was telling Loretta's friends she was taking "Doo" (her husband) away from her. The town she lived in was heavy in debt and she paid all the bills so she owned it. That's where "circle around my town" comes from. It was bad enough when her friends told her what that lady said BUT what set her really off was that woman told Loretta's children she was going to be their new mommy. Fist City was born.
Low-retta is a National Treasure.
She indicated in many interviews, her songs were pretty much autobiographical.
Husband Dolittle "liked women", Loretta and he, (again admitted by her) had knock down drag out fights. She once knocked out a tooth of his.
The best on UA-cam 👍
Van Lear Rose Loretta Lynn
True story about her hubby
If you like this one.. try Wanda Jackson's "This 'pew pew' don't care who it shoots"
There have been a lot of great county singers and songs but I got stuck in rock. As a keyboard player i was floored by Keith Emerson of ELP. So I know that have loved Loretta Lynn songs but that was ... "Long Ago And Far Away" ... And I now push play to find out if this is one of them. THANK YOU ...Edit; Now I heard it and She is GOOD ! The 1st thing I thought of was; she was warning ... "Lucretia Macevil" ...; A Blood Sweat and Tears Song.
Can't go wrong with Loretta Lynn, one of the greats of country music, I would like to request a song by Alan Jackson called "SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOVE ME ANYMORE" a great song give it a try think you will enjoy it.
You should do a series of the band songs😅😅 I think we would all get a kick out of something like that😮
Check out "One's on the Way".
She dont have to worry about me, I'll leave Dew alone.
Love Loretta! Her contemporary Tammy Wynette had a similar song “Sally Trash”
Okay; Funny songs? ..."The Streak" ... is actually about a real college fad in the 70's where they run across the quad wearing "nothing but a smile". 2 guys and a girl did it at my high school. Studio version best IMHO. Others Jerry Reed - .."The Preacher And The Bear"... Johnny Cash - One Piece at a Time (Official Audio)... "Wildwood Weed" Jim Stafford studio version. Anybody got more to add to it?
Jerry Reed - entire catalog but especially Amos Moses
Watch the movie Coal Miners Daughter
C o m a on b a c k tracker
Try Loretta Lynn's 'Happy Birthday Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.' Christmas, his birthday, the new year. They are all coming early for this guy.. But not in a good way.
Listen to RUBY'S STOOL
But the diss! "When my man picks up trash, he puts it in a garbage can. And that's what you look like to me, and what I see's a pity. You better close your face and stay outta my way if you don't want to go to fist city."
"I'm not saying my baby's a saint, cause he ain't, or that he won't cat around with kitties. I'm here to tell you gal to lay off of my man if you don't want to go to fist city."
I mean, damn, those lyrics easily could be in a rap battle.
“Fist City?”
Oops.
Still waiting for someone to react to Johnny cash song Chattanooga city limit sign not one person has react to this song. It a great story song if you love to laugh at a great story this is the song.
Her husband was tom cattin' around and Loretta always got the last word and made bank on it!
"The Pill"....one of her controversial songs.
One banned song is called The Pi❤l❤l❤❤o
The pill was one that had to have been banned
Song true her husband doo was messing around
She wouldn't have put up with Jolene
You said you want more comedians try Dave Allen religion & Adam & Eve
I'd like to see "Fist City" covered by a gay country artist like Orville Peck, wearing elbow length rubber gloves.
The pill LOL what about birth control and you just didn't talk about things let alone sang back in them days
DO RAY PRICE (EACH TIME) PLEASE IT'S A GREAT SONG
