Very nice detail on this layout.
Glad you like it
Thank you for such a great channel. I will call you first to show off my layout, that if I ever finish it.😊
Awesome, would love to see what you've done thus far!
Excellent video! Don't recall any available models painted this way. Who made the decals for the SW1500's if I may ask?
I think he may have had them custom printed on a alps decal printer. I know Dave Greenwood custom built the switcher, he is a fantastic modeler.
Thanks, this was very nice.Beautiful layout with slow moving trains, doesn’t get much better than this. B
Glad you enjoyed the video.
You didn't show us what you ment by portable!?
Layout looks nice!?
In our magazine we talked about the history of the layout and we went into some on the portability aspects of the railroad.
So real looking very very awesome 👌
Thank you! Cheers!

Wow. Help me find one of these switchers! Anyone have one for sale? My son loves the train by our house in Longview WA. He has a video on Thayton Sharp his UA-cam channel. I have been trying to find a sw1500 UP ho model train for his set.
Awesome layout
Glad you like it!
This is the layout that the Lewis County Model Railroad Club took to train shows in the late 1990s, isn't it? Those trestles sure look familiar. It still looks great!
I believe it is, Dave took control of it when the club retired it.
1:46 No headlight?
Lol, it happens both in the prototype and the modeling world . . .
@@Tracksidemodelrailroading In 38 years of photographing trains, I've never seen an engineer forget to turn the headlight on.
This looks a lot like the area near Kalama, WA where the Columbia & Cowlitz parallels the UP/BNSF main. Was that your inspiration?
I believe so, the layout was originally a club layout
It was things to the efforts of Weyerhaeuser lumber as well as the Pacific Northwest was logging museum that rebuilt the Tacoma Easton RailRoad line In 1980 they rebuilt the line improving new bridges and grade The Mount Rainier scenic railroad is still out of business without an owner I sincerely hope that someone will step up to re-open the Railroad and Museum again
