This model was also used in Nigeria in the 60 and 70s during the years of marketing board e.g. Cocoa, Oil Palm and Cotton marketing boards across the regions. They support farmers with seedlings, equipment and grants and then buy the produce from them for grading and export. Introduction of IMF backed SAP killed our agricbusiness.
Point of correction, it was used popularized in the old western region of Nigeria, by the Awolowo government and that gave a lot of South Westerners financial and economic edge above other regions.
Isn't it exploitive? Isn't it like contract farming ? Where you sometimes have to borrow (via the company to get the equipment and training you need) then you get into a contract and have to sell your labour and produce below market price until they have made their money back which could take decade(s).
@@efemzyekun900 It means you have not done enough research. North had marketing boards for cotton, Eastern Region under M.I Okpara had marketing board for oil Palm produce. Each region was self sufficient based on what they can produce. Always do some research before correcting other people's opinions please.
We need this kind of partnership. This is generational shift. Ideas using technology and maximizing potential. Imagine if we partner with his company especially in the North. Where land is in abundance. I am from Niger State and i have preached this gospel for real. I would share this vidoe with an aid to my governor. I hope he reaches out. Keep it up Bro.
I am absolutely elated to see this happening in NGR. Positive change is really happening in our country. You are a shining example to our youths. More grease to your elbow.
That message at the end from the farmer should be the new Nigerian slogan, "If one person can make it and you cant make it, Nigeria is not the Problem"
This is a great program and way to think in the business, learning, and teaching model. The real question though is what are the growing methods? What's in the soil-less? How is the water filtering? Where are the seeds coming from? Are they natural/organic and non-gmo? Does your produce reproduce seeds?
This is a great idea. Kudos to all the hardworking youths. Nigerian youths are not lazy after all. What we need is good, selfless and purposeful leadership. However, it is hoped that the challenges which killed similar agricultural projects in the past will not be allowed to affect this one. 🙏🙏
Pls can I have your email, am into youth work, I am interested in what you are doing. I have thousands of youth that this will transform their lives.@@Ganodidit
I have never come accross such an impactful video. I would like to get in touch with this fellow if I can contract him to set up a similar project back home.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته. ما شاء الله. His vision and team play character is good. May Allah grant you patience for uploading educating content.
The future is bright for the younger generation of Nigerians. Highly impressed as a Nigerian in Diaspora coming to retirement soon I see opportunities to participate in the value chain settings up mini mart grocery shops in the big cities.
Cooperative society model of Social Enterprise Business. This is encouraging and should receive support from Bank of Industry Nigeria. Youths moving from consumption to production 👍💕
He Didn't Start That Business With His Own Money. You Can See Baba Ex President Obasanjo On His Farm. He Is Also In Ogun State Nigeria 🇳🇬 Some Rich Yoruba ON Top Helped Him With Funding And Money. He Didn't Need Bank Of Industry. I Am Going To Nigeria To Meet Up With Him To Set Up My Own Greenhouse Farming On His Land So That They Can Manage It 12:53
@@AfricanUSA-th9ov I can see you are more interested in ethnicity issues than the business model. Many people have benefited from Bank of Industry Nigeria and he too can leverage on that. Replicating same across Africa is what should be the focus.
What you've done and still doing is second to none. I admire your work so much Please do you organize online trainings I really want to learn from you sir
This is amazing….. this is the only way we can grow our economy. Don’t japa!! Stay and let’s grow this country together. Let’s all start producing and stop being only consumers!!
This is a wonderful initiative Right in the south west That's wonderful 1. How can we buy your produce? 2. Can anyone apply to be trainee or are there any requirements
This is the quickest solution for Gambians as we live under ethnic, religious and social harmony. We can join hands and minds to make ends meet. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Damn this guy wants to have control over veggie supply chain Nigeria. That is why he is offering free training to the youths and making them involve for free and by doing that he is going to earn their loyalty and those young folks will sell their harvest to only him. That's how he will have control.
This was so intriguing to watch as someone who works in Agricultural Research but also with a personal passion for farming engrained from childhood. It would be great to see what are the input costs for each unit at maximum production for an individual crop and methods of pest management. Really love this, great job 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
So glad I watched this. Very impressive. I cdn't help but shared with a couple of people who desire to grow flowers. Keep up the good work and may God bless you. More grace
What he said at 4:50-5:25 is so true. That is what Wal-Mart does. You get DOC, feed, housing and equipment from them. And they buy the chickens from you.
Its called contract farming in poultry. This is beautifully designed to ensure sustainable produce quality, supply and ensure standardisation. Its brilliantly structured to empower the youths which in turn ensures sustainable expertise in this field for the country over a certain period of time. This is beyond strategy for profit, its creating a revolutionary system that impacts the farming community and society as a whole.
I am a Sierra Leonean living in London for almost 30yrs. I am tired and i would like to return to my mother land and i am thinking of going into farming . Is it possible for me to come to Nigeria and trained or come to Sierra Leone and set up a soiless farm for me ? Anyway i like what you are doing .God bless you mighty!
I love this but you should have asked the difference between the paid and free trainings. If you know it pls help do the train online or only physical? It will be great to learn
"The concept of work is obedience to God." I totally agree, work is the highest form of worship, just wish our youths got this message, internalised it and put it into practice. Brilliant and educational.

The model that allows young people become empowered and start earning while they are learning is great!
