    This song is the proof that there are bands, but they are THE BAND.
    The production is perfect and it is still better than almost everything up to date, the drums are HUGE, the voice is brutal, the bass is groovy and the guitar is so tight. The solo is for me the best in rock history, a 20 second punch, doesnt need more

    Jimmy Page masterminded the finished product of most of Zeppelin's albums. When he overdid the smack, John Paul Jones took over, at least for a while. All that delicious panning and stereo choice of instruments on this song you're listening to was Page's doing.
    I had the fortune of seeing Zeppelin twice; once in '69 and once in '74. In '74, they themselves played the entire concert for more than four hours.

    Blows my mind. Every single time! No matter how many times I listen to it. A Whole Lotta Rush! This is how hard rock is actually supposed to be; unfortunately, don't get anything close nowadays.     I'm 61 years of age and still ROCK OUT with Led Zeppelin. This song here is one of the greatest as they come out of the gate FULL ROCK-ON, to then slow it down and enjoy the drumming of "Bonzo". It becomes almost peaceful to the heart and then it ROCKS OUT to one of the greatest finishes of their many great songs. Robert Plant was and still is to this day the greatest Rock Singer of ALL-TIME. His choice of lyrics cannot ever be touched by anyone ever. This band "Led Zeppelin" was and still is the greatest rock band of ALL-TIME!

      That's not Bonzo. It was an echo of Plant in the recording. Apparently they had trouble removing it, so they amplified it.

    The stereo effects and the distortion towards the end of the track are just timeless. There will never be another tune like this. Absolute classic.
    Prince tried distortion with "Let's go crazy" but it wasn't as good.

      It might get loud was great; couldn't help but think it'd have been better if they'd have gotten Richie Blackmore and Jeff Beck with Page, instead of Jack White and The Edge. He just felt to outclass them

    I love how the first 5 secs are mostly on the left track (guitar) with a very faint echo on mostly empty right track, then the bass comes in on right track strong...i love it and that's how I check my speakers in my car to make sure all is sweet!

    It's difficult to pick a favorite because all their songs were absolutely amazing, but this is up their as one of my favorites of all time. Been a Led Zepppelin fan since about 5th or 6th grade and I'm 37 years old now. 2nd favorite band of all time right behind Black Sabbath.

    Jimmy Page's guitar coming back into the song after the psychedelic fill at 3:04 is the most rock thing to have ever rocked.
    It sounds like a living thing...and it's screaming. The closest I can describe how it makes me feel is when I first hit the gas pedal on my dad's 64 mustang fastback. Pure, primal lust.
