Excellent! How exciting. I can't wait to start learning. My son and I are visiting the Greek islands in June and want to be able to communicate a little. His father was Greek & Italian and I think it would be nice to learn Greek.
Thank you so much, your explanation is the best so far. My mother tongue is Ukranian and after watching your video I realised that it has a looot in common with Greek, also all sounds are not new to me because I study English and literary in uni. I hope i will be able to learn some Greek because it seems pretty useful and interesting. Thank you for the video again
Hello and thank you for your reply! Yes, Koine Greek and Modern Greek differ a lot in most areas (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar…). Koine Greek is a kind of transitional language between classical and modern Greek and unfortunately it is not very useful for today’s communication (although it is great to know as much as possible!) But it can be a great basis for easier for Modern Greek learning, for sure!
@@visitsithonia here’s something I’m doing so you know you should know that I got it 70 right so I got a 70 it is going to make me go crazy so the 70 was a mess it was math and you’re something I wanna show you hi equals 3.140 my God I mean pie please get rid of that EI just need two letters PI I don’t need it here because my phone station is just my pronunciation is pi I know that it’s really different but it sounds a little different to me and it makes me go crazy so here’s something I want to show the 70 wasn’t math it was the math and then I got something really strange and it said hey pi equals 3.14 and I just heard it no one ever said pie pie pie pie pie pie pie pie come on I know my pronunciation is different but can we be friends
If you refer to the pronunciation of omicron and omega, there is no difference in modern Greek. If you were thinking about writing, there is no easy answer, for example: in women's names ending in 'o', it's always omega, etc. You have to learn it. Let me know if you need some tips to make it easier to write or coaching.
