- THE LIES ABOUT NETS KILLS FISH IS NOT TRUE ALL BYCATCH LIVES.The so called conservation groups like the cca have made stopping the commercial fishing into a big money making business with the donations from the public that does not know what is really going on and from government grants for their bad data on the fish. Please do not believe all their lies about the fishermen and the gillnets in the right hands they are a safe way to harvest fish without catching the juvenile fish. READ MY CHANNEL INFO.the music being block sucks and the audio swap SUCKS(look at my vid about oil drilling in florida)
sweet!!!!!! hope they pay better this year last year was a waste here in florida.
WHoley Sh!T!! look at all the Mullet, Watching this make me wonder if im in the right industry, I love fishing.. why not take it up as a business Hmmm Thanks for the thought : ) JOHNO
The dog barks at every red fish its like he knows that fish is not what we want I gest
keep up the good work guys. Nice Video. People don't realise that us pro's work hard to allow people who can't catch fish to eat fish whenever they like. Not everybody who eats fish likes fishing.
What do you get over in the states for a kg of Mullet on average? In UK I think its around 50p-£1.00 but we would never get anywhere near that amount, the most we ever had was 5 when drifting for mackerel,is it widely eaten over there?Over here it is not widely sold I dont know why I think it is comparable to European Bass which goes for £20 a kg,love your videos by the way.Stay safe and wish you good fishing
I have done a lot of long line, deep drop and power drift fishing over here, on the E coast of Fl. but, I have never gill netted.
I thought y'all picked your net on the way in.
How do U get the fish out, when the net is all piled on the deck?
Do U pick the fish as U relay the net?
my friend had a dog that would jump over and scare the mullets in the net if set shallow. It was funny as hell. It beat ringing her down. If the mullet hit the net he wouldn't bother him, but a free swimmer in the pound was fair game. All we needed was a dog who could pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You! For releasing those Big Reds! Not everyone Does that I imagine
Not true we never keep anything that we are not allowed to keep this is our liviehood you are talking about. Why risk our way to make a living for any fish that we are not allowed to keep only a sport fishermen would think that way.
wat were they doing near the end of the video?picking the right size?
WOW where do these fish go?
beautiful place down there.
THANKS the last monday of october mullet opens here
I know no ice was different for me to when I move to Louisina from Florida but here they catch a boat load and get to the fish house as fast as they can and ice them good there. And the price is down from$2.95 14years a go to $0.75for the same mullet. Not good
Great video for all, who like fishing.
Best of luck for 2010
we did not throw them back because they are small its because they where alive and the fish house only give us .05 cents a pound for the male mullet so we try to save as meny as we can and let them live.
We should be able to sell some of all fish Its discrimination against the commercial fishermen and that is just plan greedy
what size mesh is that?
Thank you for your comments you are so right
@fusilier45 Thank you very much we get about $0.65 to $1.00 per pound but I have seen it $2.95 LB. in 1995
thank you you are so right
NOW THATS FISHING
how many pounds in that haul?
Thank you very much and the same to you
To the fish market
we had mullet, red fish and black drum
What a catch !!!
So true
amazing video!
Yes it is but I love it
It funny how you think you know what you are talking about I showed 1min of us clearing mullet The fish on the bottom where there for about 2 hours and we sold all the fish to the fish house we only relest the frist few male mullet because they where sill alive for the most part
4 in
circle netting fish such as mullet is the most efficient way to harvest fish. Not only is it the most efficient but it is also the most selective and the gear stays attended at all times limiting the interaction of unwanted species such as dumb as@es out on the water who don't know what their doing or where their going.
Sorry but one more thing that the cca's lie was that all fish die when they even touch a gillnet which is a lie and the cca knows it is a lie because they made it up a long with the lie about us catching dolphins in our nets which is not true because I use to hand feed them right next to my gillnet boat the public has no cule what we are ready about.
READ VIDS INFO
And cca is a bad group run by the big oil companies that run this country in to the ground and they have no clue what is going on out on the water or with the gillnet we seen that with what they did in Florida. just watch some of Jaialai55 videos there a real eye opener for the public that have no cule
About 5500LB
they are mullet
liked markk1mc1 's comment, jealousy !!! its these people who want to beleive so badly that we are the rapers of the seas, how can the fisherman in louisianna keep drum and speckles when they can't even sell them !! fool u , no one is trying to , the vid is edited to show the best of the fishing !! if he did not want to show reds then all would be cut from the vid !! which were released alive same as my method of fishing, next time a red swallows one of your hooks into its gullet , think of this
LOL if only
You are so wrong the law enforcement check all commercial fishing vessels every time they see us we only keep what we are aloud to keep in my videos Im not trying to fool any one Im just show the way it really is
Interesting, the fish you released are dead, but yet the fish caught by hook and line in which the fish has swallowed the hook and bleeding from his gills lives every time. Interesting. Sounds like someone has never been on or around a commercial operation to see the truth. Sounds like some jealous recreational people who want it all to themselves are posting comments.
if they werent filming they would have kept those redfish
