  • In this video, we're seeing US Marshals load up a prisoner transport plane in Atlanta. This is an interesting sight and it's good to see the US Marshals prepared for whatever may come.

Awesome my name is Albert I actually was a prisoner transported on the same identical plane in San Bernardino, CA to Ohio plus other huge pick up prisoners. And yes this is the process of how the exchange is done of prisoners.

I’ve been on these trips. 6 different times. From 06 to 19. And if you have been on it. You know about the gray tape.

I flew to Dublin, California from SLC, Utah on one of those flights. In 2008 I was transported. I was in federal prison for 2 years.
The whole experience was horrible. After I served my time, completed my probation and paid off my restitution, I am done with the federal system!
That flight alone made me not want to ever commit another crime again. 😳

@@lorilloyd6352why was it Al that bad ? Was it the stressing process or multiple stops ?

@@Ti0midwest It was the whole experience. Everything from the transport from the jail to the airport, the marshals that surround the plane with big ass guns. I actually went straight from Salt Lake to Dublin so I only had the one stop and it was mine. I lucked out on that.
Also it was the reality of what my life had become. I was using meth and breaking laws and finally paying the consequences. On my way to federal prison. It was scary and overwhelming. It was a wake up call to get my life back together.
Seeing this video is a helpful reminder of that yucky day. It’s these types of reminders that come along and make me remember that desperate time. 16 years clean and sober now and very grateful for my life today.

Just was on that plane back 2022...flew out from Atlanta to Oklahoma..then a few days later from Oklahoma to Harrisburg PA..then boarded the bus for a drive to the federal prison in West VA called FCI Gilmer. Some call it Con Air but it's also known as the Airlift.

It is a regular plane on the inside. No place to attach shackles. It is very run down inside. Everyone wears the dreaded black boxes. Very uncomfortable ride. My friend was on it 3 times. Sometimes they let you have the window visors open, sometimes they don't. They don't tell you where you are. The only way you know what city your in is by asking the new arrivals where your at.

I have four round-trip flights. on JPATS planes. The one thing is that the plane pulls right up to the prison in Oklahoma. Your feet never touched the ground when you’re in Oklahoma

Imagine growing up in or below the poverty line and being a passenger on this jet is the first and only time you would ever get to fly. I hope some inmates consider it a good experience, but I know most of them do not.

It's a C-32, which is sometimes used as Air Force One but also transports other senior officials such as the Vice President, First Lady and Cabinet Secretaries.
This plane was certainly not carrying the President.

I have flown out of Atlanta on con air as a federal prisoner. The plane probably flew to Oklahoma City. That is the hub for con air.

@@Ti0midwest I have never flown, just watched videos of people who have and explain it (Larry Lawton.) To answer your question like a bologna sandwich and an apple. Larry said the experienced guys don’t eat before the flight though because you can end up being on the plane for 12+ hours as t stops at different places around the country and the marshals don’t let you go to the bathroom. He said it’s a terrible experience to have to go to the bathroom while you’re on con air all day and you can’t!
