That was so perfectly done and def my fav heartwrenching part. Just....love love love so much! You're so talented.
Tecnically he did know since the beginning but MIris used his own insecurities to manipulate him. Joe talked him out of it too. Everyone doubted him yet again and it made him second guess himself. That along with her being 98% Iris and the crisis aftermatch made it difficult to confirm his what he first thought.
