This day night cycle was made with switches and variables. No plug-ins. If you watch until the end you can see how I made it work and implement the same process into your own games.
" no plugins needed to make this work " ok but i was most interested in that " ambient light plugin command " lol it actually doesn't look like crap with the games default tint you have, i honestly thought the tint and lighting were both parallaxed. Where's that from? does it work with MZ?
Thank you. It’s done with switches and variables. It’s easier to break down in a video then explain typing. I might record one if more people want it broken down further.
this looks really awesome not gonna lie coming from unreal engine ive always said that rpg maker was bad but seeing this makes me understand that not all devs just drag and drop.
Thank you. Yeah it’s hard to make an RPG maker game distinguished from others because of the engine limitations. But that’s no reason to not try, I appreciate the comment bud
There's just something about day/night cycles in games that make it feel that much more real. Weather effects are always a lovely bonus. The environments are looking spectacular!

How do you get the light sources?
I like the weather and the Day night scene but I didn't really understand the coding half of the video.

Hi this is going to sound weird but how did you get the side walk tiles to go vertically?
great work BTW!
If you are using the same pack as I am, I just made the other directions of sidewalk not included in the pack, in Aseprite.
i tried this but mine doesnt seems to even start sadly, been trying to make a day/cycle for a week now.
Not sure what has gone wrong with that, did you make sure all were set correctly as in this video, perhaps you missed something
I’ve struggled with day/night system before, lovely how you’ve implemented it.
Thank you
This Game looks better than a lot of Games of big companies, keep it Up. Is it out yet? I would love to play it.
Thank you. It is yet to be announced for release. I will be making a video announcing the release sometime in the future
