    I hate hearing black Americans using the words, 'African Americans.' Black people or Black Americans is more appropriate. Enough said.

      How descendants of enslaved people of Africa were identified after emancipation is still evolving. Imagine having an identity, having it taken from you and replaced with one that is inhuman. Afterwards, the next 150 years is spent in an effort to find an identification tag that can classify those people with dignity. Value is placed in re-claiming ancestral heritage (African American). However, people of color whose roots aren’t from the Great Continent unfortunately are put underneath that AA umbrella.
