I loved how the Springfield Phantom engine was the mirror of the English ones! My nephew has a Springfield P1 Dinsdale and when it was at Motorclassica it was next to an English built Phantom 1. I noticed the engines and pointed it out to the owner of the English one who thought I was mad until he looked and found I was correct. We had a good laugh.
I would love to, but it has a new owner.... In the next few months I will shoot videos of other pre-war Rolls-Royces and Bentleys, I hope you will like those too!
That's quite a car! One of the kind about which they used to say, if you have to ask about it's fuel mileage, you can't afford it.
That model was the direct replacement for the legendary Silver Ghost. The chief engineer was Henry Royce.

Wow, I didn't know that! It's quite impressing how different was the way auto manufacturers were thinking back then, taking care of every detail.
Lovely car, lovely video!

I know! What a simple way to get low beams!

We have a 1928 P1 Limousine by Windovers, owned now 54 years, recognise some features !
Incredible, it was purchased the same year Silver Shadow was introduced? I hope you'll enjoy it for at least the same time you've owned it by now!
@@davidvalker Yes indeed David, I was 16 and drove it a few months later when I was old enought to drive - it was bought for £190 !!
