Very disappointed by this comment section. 1) this is a recording so if Donna talks too fast for you - just watch again, it will help with knowledge retention 2) thinking that this is too abstract is totally missing the point: Data Governance is specific to each organization is the whole point of the talk. Therefore necessarily it will be abstract because data Governance isn’t one size fits all. You need to go in, learn the people and the culture and fit these general principles and tools to make it specific to the organization. A HUGE THANK YOU to both speakers for such an informative and helpful look at how to make Data Governance work!!!
This is not the right way to go. Every comment bears a part of truth to be considered. I'm always disapointed by the talks from Dataversity. Too many talk. You never really know what you've learnt at the end of the talk. Unreadable slides... Speeches not always aligned with the content of the slided ... A waste of time!
you missed a few other key points. If someone is talking 'too' fast, or 'too' slow you can adjust the audio speed settings. Also when it comes to this content I am always thankful since it is free. Years ago the only way you would get access to content like this was to attend college courses that cost thousands of dollars (but often the topics were stretched out over years) or travel to coporate training sites like Oracle Uinversity, which again, it used to cost $5.,000 USD per class
If u want ppl to get lost in Data Governance let them watch this video. Too theoratical an too much detail. The point to implement data governance gets lost.
@@davidblake7886 I strongly disagree. Just start small with a small plan. Just do it. Along the way fine tune it. We dont need PowerPoint tigers. Its not rocket science but u present it as if.

I don't think so. There's a lot of good stuff in the video that explain why some organizations fail when transitioning into a new delivery model
