It makes me happy that the Ultra fanbase welcomes Powered with open arms overall. It's like after everybody finds out the making of the show, the fanbase just shows compassion to him. And the director of absolute conspiracy turns his shows biggest negative (the ultra conservative fighting so not to tear the suits) into a positive by making his palm and pushing strikes his fighting style like a sumo wrestler, even adding that he focuses energy into his fighting to have more impact and give him his own unique fighting style. It's really heartwarming when you think about it.
More media should be treated like this. I know a few examples.

He may not have come from the greatest series, he may not have been created in Japan, but he’s still an Ultra Hero who fights for what is right! One who is just as worthy to stand with all others! Ultraman Powered!

Had Tsuburaya do more research on the American movie/TV studios at the time, and gave 3 times more than a measly US$4 million to a well-known big budget major studio than an unknown miniscule budget newbie studio (Major Havoc), Ultraman Powered would have been a bigger hit than Mighty Morphing Power Rangers (no, it's not MMPR's fault that causes Ultraman Powered to get cancelled after 13 episodes).

If I recall, the director upon seeing Powered's fights in his show, decided to give Powered a Sumo based moveset.
I thought it was Shaolin monk style.

I KNOW that if Powered had actually been released in the states, it would have been my introduction to Ultraman instead of Tiga.
Tsuburaya's dedication to fans all over the world, even after the production troubles behind Powered, still touches me.

グレート共々、超闘士を彷彿させる雰囲気なのもカッコよかったですよね。
初めて見たのがパワードなので涙が出るほどうれしかった
私が最初に見たウルトラマンがパワードでした…！色褪せずかっこいいなぁ…！（歓喜）
特にバルタン戦とジャミラの時青い目の光り方が綺麗なんですよね…！

意味はチャンスをつかめ！ではなくピンチの中一か八かの賭けに出るというニュアンスで使う言葉ね
パワードの‘’押し”は『ウルトラマン超闘士激伝』で *「0の力で動き、攻撃を当てる瞬間のみ200の力を使用し、時間差でダメージを与える掌底」* と解釈されてる
Imagine a new generation OG ultraman and everyone is so hyped and excited about it and even love him so fast..... But no one remembers who did it first.... Powered was awesome
His song is soo full of many emotions that I couldn't hold my tears
I really like the kaiju designs in Powered's series. Makes them look more unique and scarier

The Kaijus Are Like The SCP's
The suits were brittle, the miniature effects were poor, but damn it, Powered had one of the most beautiful theme songs of any Ultraman series (when in Japanese, at least)
Damn, I almost forgot how very realistic and great the Ultraman Powered series costume was!
The props of the show is super high quality, the monsters actually looked realistic and scared the crap out of me as a kid. You have no idea how relieved i was everytime Ultraman Powered showed up
@@loafloafreal Yeah right! Those monster really look giant and real, doesn't look like a guy in costume surrounded in miniature buildings. I used to watched the show from a VCD my parents bought when I was 7 because the series not aired on my country. And I never see him again , and then I go crazy when I saw him in Absolute along side Ultraman Ribut which is originally from Southeast Asia which is where I came from, I'm freakout lol . I love how they keep all his signature moves.

@@loafloafreal That's why the fight is so trash but the costume is very remastered but yeah because of that, the fight gonna be so trash because the costume powered use gonna broke when it crash to something too hard, the fight is the only thing that trash but other thing is just great in that original ultraman alternative universe!
@@rochellle6779 Ohh yeahh, if the costume looks great, its gonna be expensive and since its expensive they are not gonna do rough things to that costume, now it make sense😆! Even I saw Powered in Absolute, the original Powered is still looks better. It looks like Powered is not someone in costume, its his body and those muscles looks real (I keep repeating this to everyone lol) They really know how to hype this to kids. Showing scary real af monsters first, scared every kids watching, and then Powered shows up with that awesome look, so cool to have the chance to experience it the first time. I kinda have that excitement too when watching Ultraman Great series.
I really liked this Ultraman from my childhood.
Until now I'm 30 years old, I still like this. And in the new series, it makes me feel like I met a friend I haven't met in a long time.

This ultraman was ahead of its time actually in term of props and special effects were spectacular during the time compared to other ultramen..This is why we can see they were very realistic..However since they spent too much resources for props etc the costumes were too expensive for aggressive fighting, thus at the cost for sluggish fighting style
Ive always notice how slow Powered is compared to other Ultramans but it gives that feelling that he is a giant instead of a dude in a suit bouncing around a bunch of houses

@@steampunk1610 i see…now i know but i kinda like the slow movement not some typical Ultraman we seen in Japan…the camera angle, the props, the effects may not be as good as now but in that time it was awesome…
Plus, if you notice the origin suit looks so much better than all the other Ultraman to date, it looks realistic like a bare muscle…less folding…this suit looks so natural, the neck, the shoulder, i mean everything looks perfect to me

Let me tell you, these monster designs are some of the best I’ve ever seen. I’d argue these can compete with modern suits in detail
That’s the reason why the fights were so slow. The creators took pride in the props department and their creations so they tried to avoid damaging them as much as possible
It was rather realistic however it came with a downsides as the suit were fragile, hence why the fight are lackluster. Powered suit were however were most fragile of all as they have to make new batches if the suit were damage during the fight scenes.
@@brandonvortex995 I wouldn't have expected Powers suit to be the worst offender. That suit always looked more durable than the monsters due to minimal pokey bits. Then again, it does seem to be a more foam like material which I could see tearing and ripping
And also, according to his biography, his punching capacity is more than a hundred million tons?!So strong!! and his kicking capacity is 200 million tons?! That freaking cool and very powerful!! That's why he is called POWERED!!
So in order to give him a fight the kaiju have to be just as strong making him one of the strongest Ultra physically but like I said that means the Kaiju are just as strong if not stronger

@@thelonesurvivor3370 I've only seen it that way in the first episode of Powered, and it looks like it's from blocking the Baltan's attack. The rest of the time he just shoots like the original. Dyna also didn't have a charge pose in his series.

2:09. Very hard to notice. The green circles surrounding his color timer lighted up (white ring) right before he fired his Mega Specium Beam, just like in ep 1.

I have the complete series on VHS somewhere in my house. Though it had maybe the worst fight scenes in the whole franchise, it surely was part of my childhood.

I would like to point something out that this guy is one of the first Ultras to defeat a Zetton. Jack was the first, but Powered also defeated one by outsmarting it.
It makes poetic sense for Ultra to defeat Zetton. The original 1966 literally have the human characters eliminating Zetton with a tiny missiles
There's only two things atleast a hardcore ultraman fan must do
1. Watch atleast five full ultraman series
2. Answer other people's question about ultraman

That is average fans at least....hardcore fans watch at least all series, knows all the ultraman name and monster, collect the figure, know all about ultraman lore and legend...

His face sculpt, his muscles, his blue coloured eyes like litterally everything about him is great...yes his series was trash and only some of his episodes were good but ya know.. Don't know why ? But Powered fight scene seem more "realistic" than most Ultraman fight scene in other series. Well to me at least

最初、うちの父がレンタル店でパワードの小冊子をもらってきてくれて見てみると、怪獣図鑑になっていてバルタン星人やケムラー、レッドキング(しかも本当に赤いし)チャンドラーなんかは完全に鳥になってるし、特撮雑誌にはこの怪獣たちを「パワード化」と呼んでいたし、当時はビデオが見れなかったので地上波で全話放送してくれた時は嬉しかった。

I'm still quite amazed whenever he do the style of sumo even though in his series sucks.Hope that tsuburaya give him along with great,Ultraman USA, Joneus,Xenon,Neos, Seven 21 and Max a chance to showcase once more there hidden skills especially powered in the next mini series
His series was okay I would say definately better then neos's series.... I mean i grew up with him i have every merchandise of him and seeing someone not like, not appreciate him just breaks my heart smh
