Finally cinematic mode becomes useful. I had no idea that focus and f stop are emulated. Makes it so much easier when you don't have to get it perfect when you shoot it!
Loved your content! So helpful and informative ma’am 🔥 I’ve recently made a music video with iPhone 13 with native camera app. Now I’ve upgraded it to 14 pro max. Can you clear my doubt that while using ND filter with native camera app, does the app automatically shift and lock its shutter speed?
Unfortunately, native camera app will always use automatic frame rates. Unless you from and something like filmic pro where you can manually set shutter speed, you’re not going to help with ND filter.
@@ZdenkaDarula suppose we set the fps at 24 in native camera setting which we can do and then use ND filter with the stop where it’s exposure goes high just because of shutter speed thing, will the camera not adjust its shutter speed to get the footage right? Can you try it on your phone and tell me ma’am?

With such a large phone, maybe you could use a moza gimbal. I think mini p max has a large weight limit and Zdenka has done in depth review that you can check to see if it works for you.

I use cinematic mode (30 fps - 4k) but the colour of my eye makeup always looks slightly washed out. I’ve used so many different forms of lighting so can only imagine it’s the camera. Hi Zdenka. I have a quick question for you…So I bought an iPhone 14 pro max and an otter box case (which is a real pain to get off and on). Now I find the phone won’t fit in my old Osmo 3 gimbal. Before I buy the osmo 6, do you know if that gimbal will be able to hold the weight of the phone and case and will it fir in the clamps? I dont want to waste money. Thank you 😊
That case you bought is way too big for any DJI gimbals. Although it is awesome, and your phone will be safe, you will have a very hard time finding appropriate gimbal for this.

As always, great video! I take it that in cinematic mode the dedicated iPhone App is all that's needed. Unlike the regular iPhone video mode where there are programs available such as FilmicPro, BeastCam, etc that allow for more sophisticated settings, it seems that there are no additional camera Apps available for Cinematic mode filming. Maybe I am wrong about this, and there are apps that incorporate cinematic mode filming. If so, I'd love to know about them.

I’ve been following you for over two years along with other UA-camrs that relate to filming, film editing, drones or Davinci Resolve. Of all the ones I follow (including you) have had dramatic increases in Subscribers. In your opinion what do you think is driving these numbers upward in the last year or so?
Well, I am not the one who had a dramatic increase in subscribers. This year was the slowest one for me in terms of growth as I didn’t have that much time to keep publishing 2 videos a week. All it is to grow. It’s literally published videos, regularly and data driven Contant. You look at your statistics, see what the videos are performing the best and double them, or create a similar videos in that topic.

I always suggest Zhiyun smooth 5 or 5s for such heavy phones … I hope this helps. All the best to the new year.

So when do we use cinematic and Pro Res? I thought Pro Res is better than all modes?
Cinematic will give you the shallow depth of field.. ProRes is just raw colour profile.. you’re not going to get the shallow depth of field there

You have to colour graded properly in the post to our video editing

Thank you for your comment. You can get similar results in Protake app. It has portrait mode which is just like cinematic mode
