I’m 46 years old and from the West Coast and Big is my favorite rapper ever. But Cube is my number two. Cube not only wrote rhymes but he wrote screenplays. He is one of the best storytellers ever. PAC is three followed by Method Man and then DMX.

@@Sixfigas Scarface is in my top 10. Him and Cube are so similar. Are you from Houston? I’m assuming you also grew up on hip hop. I listened to everything not just hip hop. Except country, I gave it a try because my wife loved it but I just couldn’t get into it. In high school and college 60’s-70’s bands like Pink Floyd,Doors,Aerosmith,Led Zeppelin, The Beatles,Black Sabbath,CCR,Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Miller band, and many others I was into. I also listened to a lot of house music and other “techno music “ before it was called EDM.

@@arch0049 Absolutely. Cube is a beast with his pen. I was a writer in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles from 1997-2008. I actually moved to LA 10 days after Biggie was murdered and I went to Wilshire and Fairfax where he was shot. There were so many flowers and candles on that corner. Cube wrote for Eazy and Dre in NWA. So did the DOC who if he didn’t get in that car accident would of been another beast. DOC’s first album is fire.

Hit em up doesn't even crack my ten. I might disagree with your top 5. But thumbs up for not putting that track up there. Pac's verse is okay at best as a diss track. It is a great song, but a pretty weak diss. There are maybe three lines in the whole song that are remotely true.
I put Vaseline and Eazy's real as tied for number 1. Bridge is Over and Dollaz and $ense tied for third.

I think DOC was just writing at that point Cube had no reason to diss DOC. He really didn't rap on NWA albums and was only a solo artist for a short time.
