The most effective way to improve your game - and make 1, 2, 3 marking easier - is this one thought I took from a coaching training. "Don't take the wrong mindset to the game, take your best performance." If you start the game by tensing up, thinking "I must mark this, I must get mark", you will fail, because you play for a target. Instead, forget your aim to mark the tank: concentrate on playing the best game you can, making the best decisions you can and taking least damage possible. Another thought connected to this one is "Goals are a training tool for practise. Playing your best game is the tool to win."
For me the thing that works best is to not really think of the marks at all, just focus on playing and improving on the tank you want to mark. Staring at the % doesn't help jackshit if you don't know what you could improve with that spesific vehicle, after all no tank is the same than the other, expect very few. Just focus on staying alive and doing damage and maybe check the % every 10 games just to see are you doing things right or wrong. Marks will come without staring at those, if you get better. If you can't get damage done in the first few minutes, don't start to think you should have 2-3k done by that point, focus on getting that 2-3k done at anypoint even if you would need 4-5k for the mark, doing something is 5 times better than giving up and do nothing. And ofc some tanks are way harder to mark, like goodluck 3rd marking tier 10 mediums for example if you are just an average player. Pesonally I've 3rd marked some tier 6-8 vehicles but stuck at 85-90% with my tier 9-10's just because I'm not that great yet.
I'm a good/average player so I feel like I can give realistic tips for one and two marking tanks that could be useful to average players (not for three marking, I'm not a unicum) so here are my tips: FOR ONE MARKING TANK - the most important thing is that you are consistent, which means play a tank often over short period of time. At the end of the battle, most tanks are low on HP and wounded and lack support so - it's easier to get damage then. 2) Learn to often track tanks, so you can get assistance damage done by your team while you're reloading. 3) If you have shots at fuel tanks, ammo rack or engine, take them. It can't hurt trying to ammo rack a tank or set him on fire. 4) take advantage of your HE rounds but only when shooting very lightly armored vehicles. HE is very opportunistic and situational and very often not even worth it, but if you have a very lightly armored tank such as Scorpion/Scorpion G/ELC Even and similar, go for it. 5) Take advantage of your team whenever you can. There are so many ways even a complete newbie who's doing completely the wrong thing can be useful to you, if you just notice the opportunity. 6) Watch Lemmingrush videos :) And DON'T try to learn from watching QB play, he is reckless and really doesn't play smart (and he doesn't even know it). Playing like him will most often just get you killed like a noob. 7) When you've had a couple of bad games and you can feel it getting to you, and you feel mad and frustrated and kinda hopeless - just stop, take a break, chill and go do something else, don't force yourself because that will often make everything worse. For me, these simple things are enough in most cases to one mark and two mark any tank. :) Obviously, tip before you even try to mark any tank - minimap is your friend, make it big! ;)

I'm sure if you're good enough not using premium stuff will still get you good games. See his "best game w/o premium" video. Getting enough silver without premium is another story.
my #1 tip for 3rd marking : Make your combined damage go really high if you have like 4K dmg start go for track wheel shots for atleast 2-3K spotting damage each game this makes your total damage 6-7K and most tanks are easily 3rd marked with this ... also i think view range above 445 meter is usefull with the progress
Why do people talk about how the team is doing nothing but refuse to type anything in chat to help the team? Game after game there is zero communication and tons of complaining about how no one did what was expected. I'm fairly new to the game with less than 3000 battles and the lack of communication is a huge thorn in my side. I guess I should just get over it, but there is so much that could be said to help the team dynamic.
random battles are toxic everyone just does thiere own thing and ignores any advice/communication 90% of the time. Id try and find a clan to play with if you want team work and communication.
Be my guest, but generally you'll be ignored, or told to shut the fuck up. So why bother, they can play their team how they want, best you can do is try to get some engage from their suicide run. Maybe one out of ten to twenty matches do other players listen or we coordinate together for a win that would have been a loss.

Lrmmingrush, Im on my t 54, and am a bit puzzled as what to research next, The Obj 140, or T62A? I kinda started the grind for the 140. But seeing how similiar they are practically speaking im confused. The gring to the t62A seems just a tiny bit easier as the gun has 219 base pen. which is better than the gun used to grind for the 140 as it has 201 base pen. which isnt very good at t9 and 10. i would constantly need to load gold and hemorrhage credits for the very long grind to the 140. Any advice? should i just go for the tiny bit better pen gun and slightly worse dpm and settle for the t62A?
Believe it or not, but this was actually one my most pleasurable 3 marks ever. I barely looked at the percentage since about 87% and then suddenly the 3 mark badge popped up in one of my better games in it;) One tip is to maximize your view range. That does help a lot. I think I've got about 480m view range and I'm using food as well.

However, you also made a super ignorant comment: "In their mind it's cowardish, right, but that's how bad players think." That a person doesn't run like a coward, doesn't necessarily make him a bad player, he just has a different mindset. He could easily be able to do exactly the same as you, but he might just not like playing that way. For instance, you made 2.500 dmg from behind in the beginning of the game, it was mostly front of bc and side of E50M, if I'm not mistaken. That doesn't require much more knowledge about the game, than the velocity of the shells from a russian medium, to hit those.
My question is....do you have any way you can figure out how much damage you need for not loosing percentage while "marking" a tank? Like....you need at least X ammount of damage to not go under your current mark percentage or Y to go to a certain percentage.

But it is important to remember that spotting and tracking do not combine in a match. If you have 3k assist of which 2k are spotting and 1k is tracking dmg, only the 2k of spotting will be counted for the mark. So you have to pay attention not to mix it too much. But that only counts for a single game. If you get 3k of tracking one game and the next game 3k spotting, you will always get the full amount.
How to 1 mark a tank: literally just play it and do at least your own HP in damage each match, preferably 1.5x your HP... By the way, why'd you remove your 10k damage game? Worried about the accounts thing? "I came top on team in damage, top on XP..." Um, I see a T-100 with over 1k base XP that wants to have a word with your 811 base XP...

So i play the foch, a tank that theoretically lowers a team's odds of winning by its very presence; across 132 games i've averaged over 3.1k wn8 and 58% winrate in it. So I dunno what circon is on about with "underperforming" french autoloaders. Sure, they're paper; that doesn't matter if you've shaved off 85-100% of a guy's health in the opening minute of the game.
I think the reason you won the game is enemy pushed into hidden lt100 and lit everything so you could farm damage. If the 140 and you had to spot your kills it would have been a loss. You lost half your hit points in the little time you were spotted by amx30 so you would not have lasted long actually spotting your own damage.
I'm 474 battles into my udes 15/16 t10 49% win rate. I'm only 53,53% for my first mark. Altho I have noticed 99% of my teams play camp and let team die games, today was the first time I played a game that actualy made it feel like a team game where people with higher hp actualy told low hp teammates to let them go in first becaus they had more hp, the first time in 4000 plus battles, that's kinda sad that that is how this game it, you have to think its me vs 15 enemy's otherwise you can't play the game and get anything
I've downloaded a mod to see the wn8 after every match and what i noticed is that kills are more important than i thought. On the Skoda t25 1150 damage 0 kills ~2200 wn8 while 1400 dmg 4 kills i got ~4000 wn8
Yeah but if you have bunch of kills and very low dmg you still get low wn8, also if you shoot higher tier tanks you get more wn8 AND you get more wn8 from wins too

But how do i grind out really bad and/or stock tanks without hurting my stats, i know that unicums spend money on game so they can play only what they feel like playing, but i cant afford to free xp my way through stuff? Lfc Maniac what buffs, i only know of nerfs, the way it is, 12 t has the same rate of fire and damage unloading its magazine as type 64 has with normal gun, imagine playing type 64 with shitty gun handling and everything else, but you have to reload for 20s after every 4 shots, that is basically 12t. Tiger P slow as fuck and everything pens you. I would rather play VK P again at tier VII than that.
You were thirsting for damage a little too much mid game after holding your side of the hill. Otherwise nice game, I was impressed with the T100's positioning, that tanks a pretty high skilled crew to hold that without getting spotted.

My advice? Try to get as much assistance as you can (tracking, spotting), and (obviusly) spam HEAT to balance superheavys.

Cave Johnson You don't have to shoot gold to be good, but it certainly helps.

Uhh lemming, you're not top on exp, the T-100 LT had over 1k base because he did like 8k spotting or something. partway through the video you can see him say in chat that he has 7.8k assist

mental controll xD i marking my udes 14 5 and stuck on 93% thats why i watch ur video ^^. yesterday i played 5 games and lost 3 times my internet idk why but it happen lost 2,5% of my mark and was thinking what can i throw than i took my headset and thinked in the first moment fckit and than remembered this thing cost 600€, put it gentle down and throwed my 180€ mouse to the ground xD

So i play the foch, a tank that theoretically lowers a team's odds of winning by its very presence; across 132 games i've averaged over 3.1k wn8 and 58% winrate in it. So I dunno what circon is on about with "underperforming" french autoloaders. Sure, they're paper; that doesn't matter if you've shaved off 85-100% of a guy's health in the opening minute of the game.

I think the reason you won the game is enemy pushed into hidden lt100 and lit everything so you could farm damage. If the 140 and you had to spot your kills it would have been a loss. You lost half your hit points in the little time you were spotted by amx30 so you would not have lasted long actually spotting your own damage.
I'm 474 battles into my udes 15/16 t10 49% win rate. I'm only 53,53% for my first mark. Altho I have noticed 99% of my teams play camp and let team die games, today was the first time I played a game that actualy made it feel like a team game where people with higher hp actualy told low hp teammates to let them go in first becaus they had more hp, the first time in 4000 plus battles, that's kinda sad that that is how this game it, you have to think its me vs 15 enemy's otherwise you can't play the game and get anything

I've downloaded a mod to see the wn8 after every match and what i noticed is that kills are more important than i thought. On the Skoda t25 1150 damage 0 kills ~2200 wn8 while 1400 dmg 4 kills i got ~4000 wn8

No, you get more xp for shooting higher tier enemies but not better WN8.

Yeah but if you have bunch of kills and very low dmg you still get low wn8, also if you shoot higher tier tanks you get more wn8 AND you get more wn8 from wins too
it doesn't matter about kills. it's about dmg the dmg goes up exponentially

Yeah, 3 marking involves playing tanks i like, it makes it a bit easier. But how do i grind out really bad and/or stock tanks without hurting my stats, i know that unicums spend money on game so they can play only what they feel like playing, but i cant afford to free xp my way through stuff? Currently im stuck on amx 65t stock, amx 12 t and tiger P and i want to die.
Lfc Maniac what buffs, i only know of nerfs, the way it is, 12 t has the same rate of fire and damage unloading its magazine as type 64 has with normal gun, imagine playing type 64 with shitty gun handling and everything else, but you have to reload for 20s after every 4 shots, that is basically 12t.
Tiger P slow as fuck and everything pens you. I would rather play VK P again at tier VII than that.

You were thirsting for damage a little too much mid game after holding your side of the hill. Otherwise nice game, I was impressed with the T100's positioning, that tanks a pretty high skilled crew to hold that without getting spotted.
I have had some of my very best games when L only have a few hp left . You just never know .

Throw gold at everything and it'll be easier. Dedication and skill are the best tool though.
