- Israel has killed more than 30,000 Palestinians over the past 5 months of its genocide in Gaza, including more than 13,000 children. The Israeli bombing campaign has wiped hospitals, universities, primary schools, and other critical infrastructure off the map, not even sparing tent cities in Rafah where over a million displaced people have fled to. Through it all, the Biden administration has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel, supplying the funds and arms required for Israel's extermination campaign to continue. As international legal action against Israel and its allies mounts, the question has arisen of whether and how the US and its leaders ought to be brought to justice. A recently appealed lawsuit from the Center for Constitutional Rights, filed on behalf of Palestinian human rights organization Defense for Children Palestine, sought to do just that. Plaintiff Ayman Nijim and CCR Senior Staff Attorney Katherine Gallagher join The Chris Hedges Report to discuss their recent lawsuit and the possibility of a genocide crimes case against President Biden.

Hamas is guilty of war crimes against Israel for continual attacks against innocent Israeli civilians, for using rape as a weapon of war. Hamas is guilty of using their citizens as human shields, for using schools, hospitals, etc to fire missiles from, thus removing their neutrality status. Hamas and Palestinians are guilty of rejecting and breaking each and every ceasefire. Iran is guilty of providing weapons of destruction and training against Israel and both should be charge accordingly. Supporters of such terrorist groups are guilty of aiding and abetting war crimes against humanity, and going as far as denying the atrocities of Oct 7.

Exactly! The Genocide Convention and the UN (probably other organizations as well) were established following the Holocaust to prevent it from ever happening again. This morning on Democracy Now, I heard that Israeli Soldiers forced Doctors and Journalists to strip naked while Palestinians were murdered in their midst. After hearing this point of fact, I tried to go back and listen again, disbelieving my ears. It was present, but when I returned to the beginning of today's report, that section had been removed.

Hmm, I wonder if a mother in Gaza, whose home just collapsed on top of her kids, cares whether the attack was technically a Genocide or not? Let's just agree that it's horrible and needs to be stopped immediately rather than all these useless talks.
I think that there may be a point to that perception, in terms of immediate action.
However, criminal convictions of individuals, who can be identified as the most responsible, removes them from being able to hold future positions of trust and sets an example to other world leaders, that criminal leadership is not tolerated.
I believe that such convictions can go a long way to reducing the chances of such horror from happening again.
Im sick of all these leaders in every country that have gotten so comfortable sitting on their throwns pretending to be Gods over people using their tax money to cause damage in the hearts of everyone, everywhere.
