These are lovely! I suspect that it was putting all the elements together that took 2 minutes. You have to add the time it took to cut all the little pieces, especially the cards you use for presenting the paperclips. I am guessing those were cut on a die cutting machine, which means, unless you have several of the same die, that you can only cut one at a time. That takes quite a lot of time, as I know myself! A dollar for two does not seem enough for the work that you do to create these cute little pieces. I also understand that overpricing items can slow down sales. Pricing is always the biggest headache for crafters who want sell their work! I live in the UK but the dilemma is just the same 😄. Maybe $2.50 for the set of two bookmarks would be reasonable. Thank you for sharing your creations and method, I wish you good luck with sales.
Thank you for your thoughtful reply ❤🧡💜
Going to use a scallop punch for a little more decoration
Absolutely! That will look awesome ❤
I know I'm 1 year late to the party 😛but IF you make them again for another craft show you should try charging $2.00 each OR 3/$5.00. I do this on some of my items and I will tell you the $5 bills fly into my hand!!! Especially if you have several items which they can choose from to mix or match. Ex: Paperclips, mini notebooks, and magnets. Definitely put them in clear bags. That is such an awesome finishing touch. P.S. Your paperclips and packaging are flipping AD😍RABLE!!! You nailed it! 👏👏👏
Oh, thanks so much, and great tip, thanks!!
I love these!! I also love the plain brown backer because the images really pop. I would insert into a clear baggie and sell for $3. Your time must be factored into your pricing. Do not undervalue your items. Book lovers will adore them and they make wonderful stocking stuffers or Thinking of You gifts. Best wishes from Marshfield, MO.
I greatly appreciate your input. Great suggestions and advice!
I really liked your idea about using circle punches. You asked about the price. You thought you might want to charge $1.00. I think you could easily get $2.00 or $2.50 maybe even more for a card of two. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us. Kindhearted people are never thanked enough for making craft ideas easier for all of us.
Thank you for the lovely compliment, Bev❣
Fabulous idea & gorgeous results! I love circles! Little by little I have purchased all the graduated EK circle punches that I can find on Amazon. I prefer them because they’re flat & can stack! Also don’t jam & can take more kinds of paper, but they are more expensive. I’ve been crafting (and buying punches!) for about 35 years! And I have boxes of grumpy & fiddly punches, so I’m pickier now. At any rate, I’ve been playing around with round ephemera & having a blast, but never even thought about adding paperclips into the mix!! I love yours, especially the little sets of go-togethers that you created! Now that it’s a couple of years later, how did your sales go? I haven’t tried selling anything yet, even still giving away journals to try & get my name out! I’m not on any platforms because I’m “technologically impaired” & don’t really know what the next step should/could be. If you have any thoughts or ideas about that, I’d love to hear some! I have a new HP printer, but haven’t set it up, so I’m not using digitals yet…though would love to! Most of the UA-camrs I watch are in Europe & Australia (just how I got started, not really by choice). But you’re somewhere closer & you probably know more about what works better here in the states! I hope you are having a good day, I’ve been thinking of you! Take good care, Gina! Erica❤
Circle punches made quick work of this project! It's amazing how many crafty supplies you accumulate over a period of time, I can only imagine after 35 years!! Seems like something happened, either it canceled, the weather was bad or there weren't many people. I can't remember now, but suffice to say I didn't sell any. I haven't done a craft fare in 2 or 3 years. I've given some away but otherwise, I still have them. As far as starting a channel, you just need something that records video, many people use their phone. Also need an editing program, unless you just want to leave everything as recorded. Some people do that and my, how I envy them! There is a little more to it, uploading, etc., but too much to explain here. 😄
I made a bunch of these the other day, and today, another 24. I Iove making them. They turn out sooo cute every time. Thank you for sharing this tutorial!
Wow, look at you go!! I'd LOVE to see some! ❤🥰
Cute as a button! Hmmm, maybe add a button. Lol I agree with the others on pricing.
Haha, thanks!☺
Hi, Gina, great video of your hidden paperclips. I got the Mini Paperclip Elements from Spellbinders.
Thanks for the info, Nancy. I just went on the spellbinding site and the Mini Paperclip Elements are on clearance - you get 100 paperclips for $1.00!!
These look really easy, I like them. Your packaging is really nice. I was thinking maybe $3.00 or $4.00 for 2. That’s only $1.50 or$2.00 a piece. Your have to remember you have card stock, die cutting time for the packaging. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for your input and yes, they ARE easy...my favorite quality in a project! Hahaha
Definitely the Kraft packaging. I'd keep it plain, to let the adorable paper clips to stand out. Put them in little cello bags. I'm just guessing, but $3.00 doesn't sound like too much for a package of two. I just found your channel and am looking forward to learning more from you. Thanks.
Thanks so much for all of your comments, your interaction is greatly appreciated - and let's not forget your great suggestions! 💜🧡❤
These are super cute! I like them on the plain Kraft cardstock best, nothing to distract from the product itself. I also think black cardstock would be nice, you could put small dashes in white around the edges to look like stitching. I would recommend clear self seal cellophane bags, just to keep the set of two intact. Packaged in sets of 2, I think 3.00 is a fair price, or 2 sets of 2 for 5.00. Studies show that shoppers are inclined to buy multiples if they're getting a discount by doing so. Good luck. Though you don't need it, these are so pretty they'll sell themselves!! 😊
Thank you for your suggestions. I love the idea of using black paper with white stitching!! ❤💜🧡
I'd definitely pay $3 for a card if them in a baggie! They're adorable! If someone close to me gave me one of those it was be very special to me! ❤
How nice! Thank you so much ❤
Le Cafe Craft gave you a shout out. Thats how I found you.
That was very nice and I'm glad you are here. 🥰
Just found your channel, and of course, I subscribed. This is a great idea. I would like to make some for myself to mark favorite recipes in my cookbooks or for bookmarks in my Bible. Considering the cost of your materials and time, I think that you would loose money by selling them for $1.00, especially with your packaging idea. I wouldn’t go any lower than $2, but $2.50 - $3.00 would be a more fair price.
Welcome, and thanks so much for subscribing and leaving a comment, both are very appreciated. I think I'm inclined to agree with you on the pricing. I think 2 handmade bookmarks for $3.00 is fair. It's so easy to under price your own creations. I really appreciate the feedback!
I would say 2 for $3.00 or 1 for $1.75. That would cover what you have in packaging and would help with the change by making them a deal. BTW, they are beautiful and I like your packaging idea.
Thank you and thank you for your input!
I really like these paperclips. Thank you for sharing this idea!
My pleasure, I'm glad you like them! ❤
Gina these are adorable. I am brand new to paper crafting, and your channel. I can't hardly wait to watch your other videos. I appreciate the way you go over instructions, I don't feel as intimidated with you. I think a fair price would be 3 for $5.00. thank you.
Thank you for your input and kind words. I'm pretty new to paper crafting myself which is probably why you aren't intimidated. And I'm so glad you are not. My motto is, if I can do it, then YOU can do it. I really do try to make my projects as beginner friendly as possible. Easy, fun and cute are my main criteria! Hahaha. Welcome to my channel, feel free to let me know if there is something you want to make or learn and I'll do my best. 🙂
Very cute craft. I had already cut out many circles to use as ephmera but had not thought about paper clips. Yay, you!
Hahaha, thanks! If you already have the circles punched you are half way there!
The middle circle is a neat idea. I made some hidden paper clips and the paper clip indention was noticeable. These are beautiful. ❤
Thanks so much ❤
These are great, going to make some for my junk journals. TFS! Valentina from Northern Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦. I would charge $2.50, as it is handmade and takes time to put together. I also like the brown craft paper that you put them on. The script stamp would also look nice on the crown craft paper.
Im so glad you enjoyed the video, and you're right, the script stamp would look nice on the brown craft paper. Thanks so much for the feedback! ❤✂️🖇
I mean to say that I would charge at LEAST 5 to 7 dollars for the two. The way you packaged them is so clever as well. Adorable!
Wow, that much! That would be great!!
Very nice…I like the plain craft because there is nothing to take your focus away from the clip. I like the 3 smaller clips on a card and I’d do $2 for one card or 3 cards for $5. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for your input ❤
I love these round paper clips! And I love the plain brown paper you attached them to. It doesn't take away from the design like the stamped ones could. I would absolutely pay at least $1.50 for 2. I think $1 would be a bit low. I've made 1 and will definitely be making more! Love them.
So glad you enjoyed this project and thanks so much for the feedback!
G'day Gina, have just found you and love these round paper clips. here in Australia, I would sell those packaged paper clips for about 5 to 10 dollars. Being a crafter, I know that even the quick ephemera takes time and it's handmade with love and attention. looking forward to watching more of your work. Cheers and thank you for sharing your creativity. :)
G'day to you, Glenda, from North Carolina, USA! Thanks so much for your input. ❤
I’m late to your party but glad you showed up in my feed😊. Love this idea and my favorite packaging is the Kraft paper; the clips really pop on it. I’d charge 3 for $5. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for your input...and you are always welcome to join the party whenever you arrive!!❤❤❤
Hello those are so cute... if the pin did stick out on the bottom tie another piece of ribbon and then they would look like a piece of candy. Great for Christmas. ❤
Adorable idea!!
Love, love, love! $5 including shipping. Unity stamps can create your name stamp too.
Thank you!
Everything is beautiful and perfect ❤packaging, price and Everything! Great Job!
Thank you ❤❤❤
Awwww, just what I needed. Something quick to fill an hour. I have made these but hadn't seen adding the middle piece. Love it! I am a first time watcher😁. I sell mine at 4 for $3.00. They do great for gifts. ❤
So glad to have shown you a little something different! Thanks so much for your feedback ❤💜🧡🥰
These circles are so cute..Perfect for any journal, card, or book❤
They would make a nice alternative to the other hidden paperclips you are making for the students!!
I love them , very simple and quick to make. I jus purchased the Simple Stories word sheet today I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it and now I know.
Awesome! Have fun!
Love these beautiful little embellishments. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for your comment! ✂️🖇❤
These are wonderful! I don’t mind the paper clip showing back too much. I just punched some little birds in a book I was fussy cutting bigger birds out of and was wondering what I was going to do with them and there you were. Thank you for this idea, I can’t wait to get started on these.
Hey, great timing - it was meant to be. Hahaha I'm so glad you were inspired, and I appreciate the comment. Hapy crafting!
very cute and excellent packaging idea
Thank you ❤☺
❤ these looks like my project for today. I'd do kraft paper, I'd charge 2 ech card or 3 for 5 :)

Love the packaging, hope you sold loads at the craft fair 🌺👍
Thanks so much!
these are great,,, I'm making a horse mini album for my son, and you gave me this idea too use some of the ephemera which are small squares instead of circles. They turned out perfect... thanks for sharing ...Ann in Canada
That's great! And, I'd love to see how they came out. If you feel comfortable sharing, please consider sending a pic through my email or posting to my Facebook page!
Ahora mismo me suscribo!!!
Muchas gracias! Me alegra que hayas encontrado util el video. Elaboration feliz!!
Love these!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and commenting 💜🧡❤
Love these. The Kraft paper really lets them stand out. However I love the script stamp also.
Thanks so much ❤
Love these! ♥️
Thanks so much!
Gina, you're so right --- these are adorable. I just cruised over to Amazon and they have these in both a 'slim' and 'fat' size. Much more expensive that regular paperclips, but we expect that from the craft manufacturers, don't we? Love this idea. Have just subscribed and looking forward to learning lots of new things. Take care.
Thank you so much, Diane, for your support! I hope you find other videos that spark your interest. Happy crafting!
I really love these clips!! Playing with paper clips is so much fun to have in a journal. Thank you for the share!!🍁🍂🌻
I'm so glad you enjoy them ❤🥰🖇
Love it ❤️. Thanks for sharing
❤❤❤
Looks great. Thanks for sharing
❤🧡💜
The ribbon / cloth tabs are super charming - nice work!
Thank you ❤
Hi .. Just happened to see this video .. which makes me a first time viewer. Just love these little paper clips. I make hundreds of cards for our Church. The gals are going to love these. I am now a subscriber living in AZ. Thanks for showing your talents.
Thank you! That is so nice of you to make so many cards for your church. Thank you for using your crafty talent to help others!!
So lovely!
Than you ☺
Another fabulous project! I love the idea for the packaging. Whatever price you use, if you are using the small size, I would put three on the card. If larger size, two on the card. Also, I realized that the "stitched" look on the display card comes from the die you used. At first I was thinking that sewing the product would be more time-consuming than making the packaging. If I didn't have a die that does this myself, I would not have known how that effect was made.
Yes, the die helped put a lot!! Thank you for your suggestion ☺
not sure why it took the algorithm gods so long to present this video to me, but i was totally charmed by your presentation.
How sweet! Thank you 😊. Those algorithm gods are finicky buggers! Hahahaha
@@TheArtfulAddictI second that thought! I’m so happy that we’ve connected!
Me too ❤
Thank you for Sharing! I think three for a $1.25 is a great price. I going to look at you hidden paperclip video now...
Thanks so much for your input! The hidden paperclip tutorial is my most popular video, so enjoy 🖇🖇❤

Hello...new subscriber from Southeast Illinois! These paper clips are so cute!! I think the brown craftpaper made the best way for selling and displaying.
Thanks for sharing and I'll be sure to binge watch your channel 😁
Hi Donna, welcome from Central North Carolina! Thanks so much for subscribing and for your insight! Hopefully, you'll find other videos of interest on my channel.❤🧡💛
love them !
Thank you ❤
Great idea!
Thanks!!
Love these
Thanks!!
I actually like that the script Stamp Didn't cover the entire backing. It adds to the charm.
I also like the kraft backing.
Stickers and diecuts would also be good for images on these.
So true, great idea, thanks for sharing!!
GRACIAS, ME GUSTAN MUCHO, EL EMPAQUE ESTA MUY BONITO.❤❤❤
Muchas gracias !!!
so cute!
Thank you! They would be great to make with Christmas paper!!
I think $1.50 is generous for the amount of detail, plus the card, which is also presentation. They are beautifully made.
Im a new follower!
Thank you so much!!!
Omg I just love your accent. Could listen to and watch your delightful videos all day. 😊 Can't wait to play with this idea. Thank you 🤩
Thank you! Hahaha. I don't think of myself as having an accent but I suppose I do to someone who lives in a different part of the country or world! Happy crafting ❤ 💓 💛
Those are so cute!! I love the brown packaging! I’d say you’re too low.. at least $3.00 I would pay! I made a whole slew of them today! Fun!! Mine are all fall ones
Yay, I'd love to see how yours turned out!!!
@@TheArtfulAddict I took pictures of them. How can I show you?
Yay! They are fun to make, aren't they! Thanks so much for your input ❤
Great! You have some choices, you can post them to my FB page, hash tag me on Instagram #theartfuladdict or send them to me by email theartfuladdict@gmail.com. com. I can't wait to see how they turned out!!
Wonderful idea .. 🎉 thanks
❤💜🧡
These are so pretty, and I have a few different Simple Stories papers with the 2 x 2 squares. I think between $1 and $2 max. I prefer the Kraft background. Have a great day!! (First time here, btw). 💕💕💕💕💕
Welcome to my channel and thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
Just made a few of these adorable paperclips with my own spin. Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I would LOVE to see your spin if you wouldn't mind sharing 😃
Everything I sell is in cello bags. These bags make anything look good.
So true 👍
I was waiting for a clear seal to be painted onto the bookmark to make it last. I’d use modpodge or some decoupage sealer for sure.
That is a good idea. I like how adding mod podge changes the texture of paper. It gives it a leathery feel as well as added strength!
So cute and easy. I want to make these with my grandchildren.
Yes, it's a simple craft to do with adults and kids. And, you'll be there to help, depending on their ages. 😃
nice!!
This popped up in my feed, very much enjoyed your style of teaching, thank you!
Thanks so much ❤
I know this video is old, but I am just getting into making ephemera for my journals. Your video was so great for me because I am always afraid to try different things. I have everything you used so I thought I would give it a try. Thank you for the video :D
Thank you Helen. Listen, Don't be afraid to try ANYTHING new, especially when it comes to paper crafting. Why? 1- Even if the end result isn't 'right' in your eyes, you still learned something useful to carry forward when you try again. 2- trying is how you learn and make new discoveries. 3- it's just paper. Put the focus on enjoying the process, not the end result! You can do it. Go make these by following my tutorial, then play around with the process, and find ways to make them better!! Happy crafting ❤ 💛 💜
When I figure what to charge, I was told once that you try to figure the items you used and what all that would cost you and then they said to double it, but I sell things in my sister's second hand store and people always want something for nothing, which does not mean you will get double out of it. So in that situation, I will add 1/2 of the items used value and charge that much more. It depends on what I am selling, but with paper, glue and one paperclip I can hear people complaining if I put $2 or more on it, I also try to remember that not all people are into making things for themselves because it is not their thing. If I was selling it at a craft show - I would definitely sell one for $2.00 and more if you are selling 2 or 3 on your display cards. These are nice ideas - I am hoping to make some to sell at the store before Christmas for something small to put into someone's Christmas card or stocking. I am thinking I will sell them individually and place them into a small zip back a little bigger than they are. People who still love to hold a book in their hand should love them, I would think!!
Pricing your makes, especially paper items, can be tricky. You hate to sell your makes for nothing but can't price them more than they are truly worth. As the maker, I will always think their value higher than what the market reflects. And you are right, people do want something for nothing! I have not had a booth to sell stuff since making these. I'm interested to know how you do and at what price they sell well. Please do provide an update! Good luck! ❤☺🥰
These are so, so Cute! The for display is also great. Only thing I might change needs would be to add a punch out for hanging them for display. I came across your channel yesterday and subscribed right away....I think I have watched 3 videos already! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰🥰
I just discovered your channel because I was looking for new ideas to embellish pages in my junk journal. I really like these!😍 I will be making some for myself, but also for friends and family who do a lot of reading. Thank you for the lovely idea!
I'm delighted, thank you! And happy crafting ❤❤❤
Love these!
Thank you!!
I really love these paper clips! They are some of the cutest I've seen! I'm not sure what you ended up charging but hopefully at least 2 or 3$! I would definitely pay that 🥰
Thank you, Stacy. That craft show was pretty much a bust, it was not very well attended. I'm trying to remember what I charged, and can't think of it, right now.
These are great! TFS!
So glad you enjoyed it, Connie, and thank you for the comment!
