People clearly don’t read their Bible…smh. Scripture says husband and wife should submit to each other. Scripture uplifts women in a Greco-Roman culture that made women property. Marriage was designed by God and re-affirmed by Jesus. People please read your Bible and not allow a clip to pervert your view of biblical marriage where a husband loves his wife like Christ loves the church. This is borderline heresy
I agree 100% with Larry & Jesaira… when you study church history (western christianity) marriage (in this form) was not orchestrated by God. I changed my prayer years ago from ‘desire a husband’ to ‘my intention is to experience my right divine partner’ ✨✨✨ Grew up Apostolic (Pk), was in church all the days of my life🤣. I accepted (not really) the caste system found in the bible and what was taught to me, until I studied theology for my BS. As Larry stated, it’s man made (for greed & control- government). No thank you, I accept my highest good - and I will recognize my right divine partner when he shows up. Selah, and I let it be so. ✨💜🙏🏾 Yes, I was married previously (over 10 years ago) and it was not a good experience, but I learned a lot about me… 💎the Truth of who & whose I am as a child of God.
My husband often jokes around and tells folks that he has the receipt for me lol.. but honestly that was exactly the worlds intent for us to be bought, traded, trained and used like property....unfortunately those are the roots of marriage
This is good! I’m over 50 and never married, and honestly have no desire for the marriage agreement in this context. I like the idea of having a partner, but a husband… NOPE.
This can be true because most people do not marry one of their soul mates. I met mine after 50. We married for legal purposes so he could take family leave after my double organ transplant. We already knew that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together.
