Excellent tutorial! I can’t see the keyframes for Text+ so I have no idea where I put them and can’t move them. I can for Text, not Text+. Any ideas how to fix? Or is it just a bug?
@@PhilippeStemberger I figured it out, but it's not intuitive. If I put the playhead at the beginning of the Text+ box, I can hit the right arrow key that appears next to the dot and it will take me to the first keyframe. From there, all I have to do is click it and it will go from red to gray. You can continue doing that for the rest of the keyframes. It's cumbersome and clunky, but works. Thx!
Question. Can you combine the write on effect with a pop in effect? Like, an easy way of making every individual word pop in one at a time as someone speaks, but by the end of them talking it still looks like a full sentence? So, not just reveals the word, but each word in the sentence is animated.
Probably but not in an easy way. I would probably do it word by words. I will have a look if you can animated a reveal as they do in movies and make a video about it if I can find a clever way 😅
I have had a look, and basically you have a few options 1. Use a Text+ and add a transition effect, but as expected you would have to break it down word by word 2. Use a fusion clip and in the modifier use the follower to repeat the effect, not very complicated by not intuitive at all but it will make the time between each word consistent, so it might not be the best method either Afraid that all in all, there isn't an easy way that I found, but if you ever do, let me know 😅
I'm currently using Resolve 17, and having an issue with the text popping up. I followed your video and someone else's that used the "Write On" feature, but for some reason, the words pop up letter-by-letter which is not what I want. I would like the whole word to pop up as soon as I voice them, instead of by letter. What is the issue? Thanks.
Hum, probably a key frame issue. Make sure to put one just before you want to see tbe word, then on thr next frame make another key frame with the word fully revealed. I had that as well when i forfot to out tbe key frame. The letter would pop one by one

Very helpful. Up to now I’ve been adding each line as a separate text modifier so they would appear at different times. I’ll try this way next time.

If you click on the diamond next to a property. It should turn red and that is went you know you have a keyframe. Does that work ?
