I remember seeing a Broadway show a few days after 9/11. I was so grateful to those performers who managed to lift our spirits for a few hours. I’ll never forget that show or those actors.
We all know where we were when we heard it. I am interested in all stories from where people were when they heard what happened. I'm trying to convey to a small child this year what it was like and hearing what others were feeling, what they saw, what they did, is helpful.
I think the people we needed the most in the days after 9/11 were our entertainers, after of course, the first responders and medical professionals, we needed that release, everyone everywhere was so sad and devastated and not everyone could afford to go to a therapist so our entertainers were vital for release and levity. I know it was a major way that I coped with my own sadness and frustration was watching my favorite people on tv ❤ I ABSOLUTELY ADORE Kristen, she is so funny and beautiful and goofy and that’s just what I needed at that time 😂❤
To the narcissist, negative and rude persons commenting about her: Are you GOD knowing every thought and motive she had that day and when she talked about it in the interview? What did you do to contribute to helping anyone there in NYC and at the Pentagon also attacked that day? The answer is most of you computer keyboard cyber warrior social media jerks and trolls did nothing!
I disagree with her on one point. The performers ARE brain surgeons in a way. The effect of music and laughter has on us involves actual chemical and physiological changes in the brain. They undoubtedly helped countless people through a tough time.
In 1998 music legend, creative visionary Prince did a song called ‘The War'. A song over 20 minutes and in the lyrics at one stage he says: "I've gotta go home y'all... @@leif1075 I understand it was her/their take on it, just disappointing. Just expected more. But humans will be humans. I was not there either.. across america but I was there watching. I disagree with Kristen. They should not have had a show that same night or same week after 9/11. That's disrespectful to the family that lost love ones that day. I guarantee you that if Kristen would have lost her mother to 9/11 there is no way sa show would have happened. That's like record exec Clive Davis who discovered Whitney Houston who went on with his Grammy party in the exact hotel where Whitney died earlier in the day. We as Americans can't be that disrespectful in a moment of such great sorrow. But Kristen only cared about herself and convinced others to spit on Americans that passed on that day. That figures since so many of us are so disconnected with spirituality. I lost people that day and I would not be throwing a party or show as America was grieving that week.
No, your perception of what they did is way off. And as far as her motivation who do you think you are to impose your twisted view on to her & people like her??? And who threw a party ???
@@Diggerdog2nd and who are you to try to impose YOUR views on me ?? That's the good thing about democracy. We can all have different perceptions about anything.
@@mikeypiscitelli1130 Doing a show 2 days after 9/11 when there were still people trapped in the rubble and thousands more unearthed burning in the rubble for weeks was enough time to do a show ?? If there ever is a time to be a patriot is in times like 9/11. At some point you should say to yourself, you know what, this is the most tragic external attack on our country since the Revolutionary War. Maybe we should do what the rest of the country is doing and stop everything, especially during the same week of the attacks. I lost friends on 9/11. And there is no excuse that you could come up with that justifies doing a show just two days after while our country was still mourning. Kristen you are SUCH an amazing singer, actress, and human being. This world is definitely MUCH brighter with you in it. ❤

She's wonderful.
My gosh she is so pretty. Fascinating story.

Why are you trying to convey this to a small child? 🧐
That was truly moving.
Thanks for doing these interviews!

How could anyone not love this. Of all of these, it's the most touching.😢 Thank you for posting this video of my favorite Broadway performer!! 💘
The show that was cancelled is "Kristin" It was only on for a month early summer of 01. Up against Spin City. 0:29
I do pray that people will come together again after what our country has gone through and continues to be go through¡
She's so wonderful. She's one of the only famous celebrities who is a vocal Christian. She is in my prayers
I adore her!

This made me weepy
At least Kristin Chenoweth is still alive.
Do you think you'll ever do any shows around the Virginia/NC border area?
Always after my birthday 🥳
Well, some birthday.
@Jeaninpanzone2666: Was your B'day on September 10th? So is mine, I had just turned 26 the day before.Im 48 now.😢

Does anyone know the name of the song she's talking about?
Just google ‘Borrowed Angels’, and you should see a video of her singing it. 🙂
Who wrote the intro MUSIC in this?
It's from a stock music library, Leif. Why do you ask?
@@PopGoesTheCultureTV Because I really like it and wanted to hear more by the composer if you knew the name.. That's why I always ask.
Ummm yeah, I'm not getting all these videos with these celebrities on where they were at 9/11. They are always blathering on about their deal.
I do get that its their take on it but it seems very self centered to me, nothing really profound about any of these videos. Whatever, my two bits.

How do you know? Are you GOD that knows every inner motives and every thought that every Humans have? The Answer is No.
Who the hell cares where she or is
Clearly you do
Repeating what the person stated above clearly you do. Your narcissist thinking makes you no better than the selfish evil terrorists that day.
You don't have to watch.
I like her but y'all quit showing where these celebrities were in 911 do you think people give a shit what they was doing
Why?
She was literally in NYC when it happened. That’s why they’re interviewing her. Calm down.
Well they are people and most were actually in NYC that day
Personally, I think she's obnoxious
Who cares where she was?
