I'm a sad, a sad mama, oh-no....
Yeah, its really not the best med. For some people it works great and doesn’t cause side effects, but for other people, it 100% does. I never took Lexapro, but I did take Venlafaxine, and it gave me similar side effects but not as intense, but I stopped taking it as a result. I tried it because of it being an NSRI, I was hoping it would help both my depression and anxiety. Didn’t do much for me. But Welbutrin worked wonders on me. Don’t give up on meds, they Really can be powerful tools to help mental health issues. Not the end all be all, but man, no amount of therapy was going to put my depression into remission (and I went for at least three years). But man, soon as I started on the right med, everything I learned in therapy I was finally able to apply. It was like a massive fog was lifted.
