A great video! I have a joke for you and Kayla-- If a cannibal eats a clown, does the clown taste funny? Have a KMartlicious Day! Have a Waterworkslicious Day! Have a Pier 1licious Day! Stay awesome!
I agree with you regarding drop ceilings! They make a place feel more comfy and welcoming, not the cold, cheap shell of the non-drops. It seems like retailers these days could care less about aesthetics. They forget how a customer feels in the environment could mean whether or not they'd remain longer and perhaps buy more.
Hello, Wallie, good video! For those icy conditions there you did a great job filming it! I do agree, I prefer a dropped ceiling in a department store! Stay warm, and have a great evening! 👍
Open ceilings "feel" different. The Wal-Mart in Kittanning is a hybrid where the grocery section has an open ceiling and the rest of the store is under a drop ceiling. People have described how an old Kmart felt and I wonder if it was a comparison to stores with higher or open ceilings.
Nice video. The grid work for the ceiling is up above the lighting even though they didn't use it. I do sometimes like that "industrial" look, but not in Pier One's case. Thanks
Pier 1 Imports was a cool idea, but to expensive, I purchased a few little things over the years but quality went downhill as well, Thanks for doing this video! Great job! Appreciate!
I have a picture i took of a store in Maple Grove Minnesota when it was closing, it had a “Going Out Of Business” sign And a sign that said the last 14 days on the front window
My local walmart has a drop ceiling in the old part and then in the grocery portion it's warehouse type ceiling. I think most store don't use drop celling cause the fact because of maintenance so it's easier to get to wires etc
Definitely a unique one, and gotta have some fun with the Z. It depends on the business with or without a drop ceiling. Don't matter on the weather I will always go explore lol.
Wallie! You need to get those cleats that attach to your shoes, then you could walk in the snow! Good video! Never saw a Pier 1 Import store closed up in my area! (WNY).
My parents shopped at Pier 1 every week. Too many nicknacks. By the way... where did you get the Hills hat? My parents did my back to school shopping there when I was in grammar school. Nostalgia in full effect.
I agree a drop ceiling does look more homier. A dark brown open ceiling with track lights with tan walls is the only was building that does not have a drop ceiling would look homier.
I think it looks smaller with the drop ceiling. But I think with a drop ceiling they would save on heat. You’re sub David watching from Norco California.👍🏼 stay safe😷
So, apparently people in drumline like hockey? I was in drumline in college (crash cymbals) and I'm a huge hockey fan (#Go Leafs lol). I've always wanted to go urban exploring; though there isn't much in the way of abandoned places/buildings in the city where I now live. Where I'm originally from is a different story; there are abandoned buildings all over the place, but it's also rural southeast Kansas so it's not too surprising. Once Walmart and the bigger chains like Dollar General move into the bigger city near the town I grew up in, places just started to die off. It's sad really; to see all of the smaller locally owned places just close because they can't compete with the big chain brands like Walmart
I feel like stores don’t put drop ceilings anymore because it’s cheaper to build them that way. Plus they don’t really care about the building as long as there making money they don’t care (Walmart for good example)
You're nuts. With my luck I'd slid into that store. And those ceilings look lazy. Like someone said who cares. I don't want this store to have a finished look. Just don't put any thought or work into finishing the store.
I absolutely 100% despise ice unless it's in my glass of iced tea
0:02 wallie is a drift master! 😂
I like you because you make yourself laugh. Nothing wrong with making yourself laugh that’s awesome👍🏼 p.s. New headliner looks awesome.👍🏼
I got a ticket doing doughnuts once back in the eighties at the university of Maryland 😂 always enjoy watching, thanks Wallie 👍👌
I was just recently thinking about how stores feel more welcoming with drop ceilings! I prefer shopping at the older stores for that reason!
A great video! I have a joke for you and Kayla-- If a cannibal eats a clown, does the clown taste funny? Have a KMartlicious Day! Have a Waterworkslicious Day! Have a Pier 1licious Day! Stay awesome!
Lol! Thanks for the joke! Stay awesome!
Thanks Wally for bearing the cold for us! 🥶 Have a Kmart-licious day!
Pier 1 closed at St Clairsville, across hwy from mall. My boss got a reprimand doing a doughnut at the mall after hours. Lol.

Pier 1 never had decent selection or prices. Fairly useless chain.
That's what I call an E-BroNut 😂😂😂😂😂
Hello, Wallie, good video! For those icy conditions there you did a great job filming it! I do agree, I prefer a dropped ceiling in a department store! Stay warm, and have a great evening! 👍
I LOVE the architecture on this particular Pier 1!!
Thanks for sharing that was fun doing a donut with ya that was fun thanks again with this video wallie keep it going buddy you rock :D
@WallieB26 I agree the drop ceiling is more better. Doesn't feel like walking thru a warehouse. More attractive.
I grew up with drop ceilings in most stores. I miss them too.
Open ceilings "feel" different. The Wal-Mart in Kittanning is a hybrid where the grocery section has an open ceiling and the rest of the store is under a drop ceiling. People have described how an old Kmart felt and I wonder if it was a comparison to stores with higher or open ceilings.
The one in Erie PA just closed, if you want to come and check it out sometime
Nice video. The grid work for the ceiling is up above the lighting even though they didn't use it. I do sometimes like that "industrial" look, but not in Pier One's case. Thanks
Nice video Wallie! Got to love the cold weather lol, when I have gone filming lately it had been so cold lol. Stay warm! Thanks for the new upload
Pier 1 Imports was a cool idea, but to expensive, I purchased a few little things over the years but quality went downhill as well, Thanks for doing this video! Great job! Appreciate!

Love the industrial look.
I love to see those back logged videos the more the merrierlicous it is
We don’t need have any pier import stores 🏬 here in North Carolina either . Thanks for sharing
0:07 That looks fun in the snow.
2 Fast 2 Furious intro with the Z24.
I actually like the somewhat cluttered look of their stores. Be safe Wallie!
WallieB26, love your videos! Love the beautiful building too! My favorite color is blue because, my Daddy's eyes were blue. Totally awesome video!
My local walmart has a drop ceiling in the old part and then in the grocery portion it's warehouse type ceiling. I think most store don't use drop celling cause the fact because of maintenance so it's easier to get to wires etc
There’s one in fairfax Virginia boarded up
My local closed Pier 1 had Spirit Halloween in it last year. I'm hoping they go into that location again this year.
Definitely a unique one, and gotta have some fun with the Z. It depends on the business with or without a drop ceiling. Don't matter on the weather I will always go explore lol.

That drift... lol
Great video!
My local store also left all the signs up.
All stores that have a warehouse type ceiling look bigger than they are. It makes it overwhelming to shop in them for some people.
I like your hills hat where did you get it? I am from center two in monaca pa
I found it on ebay. A seller makes them. Was $12 for it!
Thanks brings back memories.have a great day enjoy your videos
Cool video and darn it not open lol and take care my friend
Nice work on the video WallieB26
Great video Wallie
My parents shopped at Pier 1 every week. Too many nicknacks. By the way... where did you get the Hills hat? My parents did my back to school shopping there when I was in grammar school. Nostalgia in full effect.
"Pier 1 Imports!" - Elwood Blues
Be careful out there in that snow and ice, cool video, interesting Pier One architecture, does remind me of IKEA.
You make my day and love your kmart videos and you in general you make me smile
Last time I went to Pier One I was a kid and that was in the early 2000s
Wallie is the first customer of the day 😃
bruh the kyle, tx walmart supercenter is actually cool. it looks like a frickin log cabin
I didn't know they closed all over the country!
I love hockey too, I've never played but I'm a big Blackhawks fan I like the Penguins too
I agree a drop ceiling does look more homier. A dark brown open ceiling with track lights with tan walls is the only was building that does not have a drop ceiling would look homier.
Wallie I loved that intro it was funny also you should check our the abandoned pier 1 imports in altoona
Love the Hills hat!
I love abandoned places! Thanks. I sure wanna go to six flags new orleans

There's one in Arlington Texas aswell
Omg, I want that Hills hat!
I think it looks smaller with the drop ceiling. But I think with a drop ceiling they would save on heat. You’re sub David watching from Norco California.👍🏼 stay safe😷

OMG you finally filmed a pier one imports I’m so proud there’s one by Tyrone Square mall that’s vegan Pier one imports died a while ago
I keep meaning to film the 1 by me it is literally down the road 🤦♂️ I will get on it. Good video like always wallieb26
Spin-a-roonie right onto Freeport Road...
Stores don't use acoustical ceiling tile, its cheaper to paint, also using stained concrete, you don't have to strip and wax floors
I was WAITING for you to do this location lol
Sometimes this pier 1 imports store was reopen and did not last long they filled a chapter 11 bankruptcy and force to closed.
Wee fun day with snow and ice becareful on ice roads
I'm sitting on Pier One furniture watching this video. It's from the one dahn on 51
I worked at pier 1 in my early 20's wasn't to bad of a place.
Cool man video
They priced themselves out of business just like Target in Canada. They only lasted less than 2 years.
I would prefer the drop ceiling myself but if they must save money let them go
Wallie The Drifter
You need a drone guy! I’m it! Always need aerial footage.
Let's hope you don't fall wallie
I Think Walmart In Monoca, PA Has A Dropped Ceiling.
Do you know what month and year Pier 1 imports went in bankruptcy? Did they likely close due to COVID-19?
Never been to one myself, I know there’s one abandoned around my town
So, apparently people in drumline like hockey? I was in drumline in college (crash cymbals) and I'm a huge hockey fan (#Go Leafs lol). Oh great more snow. Lol
The stores were out the drop ceiling is more modern
walleye also because walmart use forklift some main prouct on loading shelves
There is a empty pizza hut in new freedom pa its next to a domino's
I feel like stores don’t put drop ceilings anymore because it’s cheaper to build them that way. Plus they don’t really care about the building as long as there making money they don’t care (Walmart for good example)
pov: you are certain that you are early but clearly you are late
Nice intro wallie
Per 1 inporteds i don't know if its a drug store or a bank or a store
You put your intro a few seconds after starting
Where in Michigan?
Ours closed where I am
🇨🇦
I would think it would be more cost effective to heat and cool a building with a drop ceiling than without one. Just saying....
The one in 15601 is empty....
Pier 1 was too expensive
thats not very bright having those reigsters there some one could steal those registers and hack credit information..
a youtuber purchased the company
Walk like a duckon ice, you won't slip as much
You're nuts. With my luck I'd slid into that store. And those ceilings look lazy. Like someone said who cares. I don't want this store to have a finished look. Just don't put any thought or work into finishing the store.
