Never forget how fortunate we were to have grown up during this time. The world was such a better place with the best music ever made!
I would sell at least one of my 4 1200s to go back for a weekend
I am 43 years old lol and I have to say I used to stay up on Friday night Saturday night and put my headphones on and listen to the hot 103 Saturday night dance party mix . When the 90s hit and I was 17 years old I started going to to tunnel, Webster hall, lime light, foxes in jersey city, tribbecas in fort Lee NJ , passions in fiarview NJ, cheetah's in 34 at NYC the sound factory NYC , Copa Cabana on 11th Ave by the javits center NYC , the devil's nest and wow so many NYC area dance clubs and I mean the NYC dance clubs where the party started at 10 pm and you came out at 7 am the following day. The legendary NYC dance clubs not the boring roof tops of today . Lol 😜
You just about named all the clubs lol, let's see if you remember the track by Jose Cheena (Chinga was on the label but later I think it was changed to Cheena I know this cause I had the original promo vinyl lol). I'll leave it up to you to reply with the title to his one hit wonder lol.
@@JeffSpicoli80 Fly Tetas!
Songs I know from Jose Chinga (aka Jose Cheena) was

The Line Went Up 54th All The Way Around To 53rd.
Tremendous Following Back Then Till Today.
Let's put it this way, I used to play this music to get pumped up while I was getting ready to go out to Zachary's,Dancing, cruisin' on Central Ave. ,Chicago's, and plain out so much better than today's music which is not music, more like noise with words..........those days were never better. The women, style, music and women

That was the best music ever made!!! I loved the garage on Friday nights , Larry was the man I'll never forget it!!!!
Oh man those were the timesss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hearthrobs/Studio 54/ 1018/ L'Amour east/ Corniche on the Lake !!! My favorite spots in the late 80s!
Lil Louis always bought the 🔥🔥🔥💯🔥🔥🔥!! Freestyle4Ever Baby!!
Nobody could even touch these guys back then best freestyle mixes on KTU
I still remember hearing this mix, and recording it on cassette, wish they had more of this hot night mix! If I remember Little Louie Vega played a monster mix of Dan Hartman's Name of The Game.
Name of the game is the shit!!!!🎶🎶🎶🎶
I found it on UA-cam
One of my biggest wishes is to bring free style back and house music from back in the day 🙏
Forever freestyle those were the days

4:41 The Latin Rascals - Dance With Me (Original Version) 1988
I still have this on Reel to reel.
He just DROPS Omar Santana at 37:00 and BOOOM! Honestly I think that's the greatest freestyle single ever, Omar's mixes of Sweet Sensation are forever untouchable in the genre. And for a few years made them the best girl group during their 1st album, even though the all time crown goes to the Cover Girls.
I had the incredible experience of being in Unique studios watching Omar and Charlie Dee edit the shit out of sweet sensations tracks. Ted Currier. Also got to work w Louie back in the Roxy/Roseland days. Does where the Better Days

WOW SILENT MORNING BY NOEL BRING ALOT OF MEMORIES I WAS IN JR HIGH SCHOOL I CALL HOT 97.5 STATION SO THEY CAN PLAY THIS SONG I WANNA RECORD IT ON TAPE HAHAHAHA CASSETTE I MEAN
At studio 54 was the shiiii when the heart came down and swung from side to side that was the most hottest experience I had in the club or in the tunnel when little Luie vega dj in side the clowns mouth that was hype azfuk!!
This is Amazing! Going way back! Popping in the blank cassettes and recording on the tape for later use. Does anyone remember, DJ Animal, from The Underground? if you have anything from him, it would be Amazing to hear him and his mixing again.
Yessirr Studio 54....Off the freakin chain🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
13:30 Cover Girls Heartthrob Mix!
Back than it was definitely party harder and work less or for that matter dont work at all . Unbelievable era....

A real hot 97 style
I remember hearing work it to the bone and break for love , first at Studio...when it closed they took the party to Gotham west...on 34th st ,I believe it was club octogan ..that lasted for a year then it turned later into ego trip
Octagon…I almost forgot that one. Thx
I remember Scotty Blackwell as the resident DJ at Emerald City on W 57 St. Late 80s?? So many great clubs back them. Limelight, Palladium, Roxy, The Underground & Cafe Society. Just to name a few.
Scott Blackwell and Jose 'Animal' Diaz were my faves.
Copa, Tunnel....
Thanks for the memory lane. Got to spin at cafe society and orig China club I late 90s. Hung out at all the others. Knew most of the DJ's as well. Are you done mixing yet!!!!!
Scott Blackwell was never the resident dj at emerald city, that was Glenn Frisca
anyone have these mixes i will buy them. i got to see this dj do his thing and damn still longing for more. remeber the jaws theme he would mix in along with friday
the thirteenth
I'm not sure if that was Louie Vega, but Freddie bastone use to do those mixes all the time at studio 54.

Best timessss…IrocZ28 lol driving
I recorded this mix but i lost to original. Wish i had the original Maxell metal tape :-(
Who’s the DJ? Little Loui Vega?
Say...Hey...Mandolay!!!
Ends at the Todd Terry House track where you would've heard him play Adonis - No Way Back, Ralphie Rosario - You Used To Hold Me, Marshall Jefferson - House Music Anthem, etc. People don't believe me tho! 🤷🏽♂
they never had edits like this on 103 back in the day so this is rerecorded
Hmmm maybe Louie had his own?🤔
Of course hot 103 had edits like this back then. Latin rascals, Jose the animal, Freddie bastone and Louie Vega use to do exclusive remixes for hot 103 that were full of edits.
Does anyone know what's the name of the Silent Morning version at 46:26?
I've been looking for this version since the day I heard it back in 1989. I have a copy recorded on cassette straight from the radio (which sounds a lot better than the one in this mix), but I wish I could have a copy from the original.
I'm pretty sure this is an unofficial version created by some DJs @ Hot 103, so if someone has a link to either download it or stream it I'd very much appreciated it.
This was a promotional DJ copy record. I remember it because my cousin was a DJ and had it.
@@UltrarmxI was actually able to find it on a Brazilian vinyl store website. The track name is Noel & Tony Moran - Silent Morning Rmx Bsouth Freestyle Raro
There's also a YT video with an almost identical version, titled Noel - Silent Morning (Ultra Rmx)
This mix is not from studio 54 .no wait José.
LOUIE never played at studio 54
Actually he did play for several years in the 80's,not in the 70's hayday. But definitely in the late 80's
Yes he did
he sure did , had the booth laid like the batcave when he was mixing todd terry project hits
He did play late 80..you could see from top of balcony
He sure did.
