I mean 7:12 in the movie they did say that they were testing the new equipment on older machines and I know that it show the Impulse, Destiny, and Strike Freedom in the movie but my guess is that they keep the old Infinite Justice and then updated it like the other machines so it could you could say that it was lazy and ridiculous
You did what Mechagaikotsu failed to understand the proper articulation segment for this kit. As much as I respect both perspectives, I would still appreciate the right way of showcasing the gimmicks without missing them. So, thank you very much for this review, will likely add it to my collection since I prefer the Infinite Justice over Mighty Strike Freedom.
I was disappointed when Mecha rated the articulation as mid. Like, it's literally the same as the OG, but improved, especially the part when he couldn't get the legs to move forward, and that got me worried and have second thoughts about buying this kit, cuz I've always wanted to pose my kits with frontward kicks or kneeling poses.
@@GrandAdmiralBatuKhan I'm really shocked of how Mecha missed the overall gimmicks at all, he didn't even mentioned rotating knees for some reason. I watched different gunpla reviews, even from Japanese ones. If you wish to know articulation done right, you can also watch Kasamatsu's Gunpla. It's a Japanese channel, but his gunpla reviews and posing segments are awesome, he also showcases gimmicks very well too. Give it a try.
I think the problem is that he just didn’t understand the MSF and the IJ2’s hip gimmicks were specifically made so they could pull off their iconic poses. He just belligerently complained that the hip articulation is weird just because it can’t be used the same way as the drop down hips from the other Gundam type seed kits while completely missing the point as to why they’re engineered like that in the first place. Also I’d like to add that using that lunge to judge a kits articulation is a pretty shit metric. Why did he stop doing the individual points of articulation? Instead now he has this redundant and boring build section at the beginning of every video. Why half ass the articulation which is very important to know before buying the kit and put in all this unnecessary effort on a part that is so repetitive and pointless? (and most people skip judging from the timeline hotspots)
I was livid when I heard that he dissed the articulation based on one test pose, as this kit is arguably one of the most flexible kits of the line, especially compared to previous releases like the Shiva. This is why playtesting the kit is important, so you can have a grasp on the quirks it has. Some might just be overlooked from a superficial analysis.
I was waiting for your review of this, ever since MechaGaikotsu rated its articulation, and as someone who owned all the HG Justices, I find that dubious. Good to know you highlighted and went on to discuss how the gimmicks work. Great review! Also, that horny joke got me. Amazing video!
I'm glad I could provide a more reliable video than the skeleton despite it looking less fancy and elaborate. Thank you for popping by. Also, happy that I got you with that edgy joke
"The Force will be with you, always." Ok the Ootori next gen backpack is quite stole the scene, but the upgraded Infinite Justice is the real star here. Better colour, articulations, and simple yet fantastic gimmic really sold this kit
Now THIS is a review of the HGCE 1/144 Infinite Justice Gundam Type II that's worth watching. Because quite frankly, I'm not really convinced on the other reviews in that, while it's a good kit overall, it's not as good compared to the other SEED Freedom kits. So yes. Thanks to this review, I'm not even more convinced to buy this Gunpla. 💕 And also, that intro cracked me up. 🤣
Keep in mind that it's what I think after a thorough analysis of the kit. Just because I think it's the best of the bunch for now, doesn't mean you will. But I will highly recommend picking this kit up and trying it out. Glad you liked the intro though!
Like I do wish for the full intro of this video... But we may run into copyright issues. 🤣 (Which makes the intro even more hilarious for me 🤣) And yes. Good thing I placed my pre-orders for this kit. So I'm 100% getting this. Ehehehe.
I like the armor design better for the Type II over the OG. It's more aggressive and angular. The only thing I dislike is the lack of details, like the trim, the twin CIWS guns on the head, and the large camera sensor on the horn, but then again, it's a beam saber head now. But my most favorite part is that it looks like a Orbified OG Justice.
We win some and lose some with this design. Thankfully the body parts are all backwards compatible with the original, so we can create our own mix if we wish
This is a fascinating detail i just noticed: In the og revives, the sf’s beam sabers couple together while the ij’s come in two states: separate and combined This is reversed in the seed freedom upgrades, with msf having the two saber options and the ij2 having the coupled sabers
I'm building this kit right now and I've been very impressed with it so far, glad to see you enjoyed the build and end result! Now the wait for the great Z'Gok begins! 🙏
I mean, I didn't enjoy that I broke the v-fin accidentally. But the final build redeemed it for me. Moral: Don't handle your kits blindly and/or carelessly
All of the articulation this thing has is amazing and all of the weapons it has really makes it scream I am a melee mobile suit fear me. Like my jaw hit the floor when you were showcasing all the weapons this thing has and it's literally a weapons depot of Melee madness. Like yes there are times where you can feel the laziness of them taking the same mobile suit from the past series and just given it more stuff but at the same time all of the articulation strengths complete with all of the weapons you get for it in addition to the engineering looking so great more than enough makes up for the fact that it's basically just the infinite Justice except now with way more stuff. Fantastic review for this thing an amazing job with the Star Wars references!
It's like having an old favorite dish, but now with extra spice without taking away what made it great in the first place. Glad you liked the review and references!
Your gimmicks just got more and more interesting! Knowing that you had a problem that made you postpone this review at first, I really appreciate the time you spent making, what I may say, the best review of IJ spec 2 I can find on YT. Thank you MJ! I think this kit is the only SF kit on your "S. Recommended" list 🔥and I agree with that!
I'm actually glad that I pushed this back in hindsight, as while the camera work might've been a bit jank (I'm sorry), the content is definitely all present and ironed out (unlike my Mighty Strike Freedom video). I'm glad it's all worth it in the end despite the lower potential view count. And yes, this is so far the only kit from SEED Freedom I'd strongly recommend.
Honestly I love this videos for a very good reason apart of the review: The painted build. Its so cool when I see the actual model kit painted as it should be.
I'm glad you like the touches I put into my kits. It's to show what a little bit of effort can do to it, as well as provide a representation that's close to the anime representation
Currently watching this while building the OG Infinite Justice Revive and planning to get the Type2, the X-Wing looks great and can be *a fine addition to my collection*
While I'm a big fan of the new proportions they gave, I really don't like how much shorter it became. It's probably so they can actually fit the thing inside the Z'gok, but the height difference between it and the Mighty SF makes the IJ have even less presence compared to its sister unit. Putting it side-by-side with the Shiva makes Shura's defeat even more hilarious because how tiny the IJ is.
A few people have already come out about this, and I was thinking that I did something wrong. Now not only have I discovered that the MSF was supposed to be closer to 13.5 cm instead of 14, the IJ Type II is indeed slightly shorter compared to the MSF to the top of the top-most camera.
Your review of IJ-T2 is straight to the point from articulation, detail and accessories everything my dude good 💯 job👍🏻 P.S this is to show the DSW is 💩0:07 - 6:01

I find the sketch designs and ideas for this Gundam. The original designs for the Infinite Justice Gundam Type II has Aegis Gundam feet blade, the backpack is like the OG Justice Gundam's Fantum, its forearm has Strike Freedom beam shield generators, the chest looks more like tbe OG Justice Gundam's design and it still has the Beam Blade on the horn. Imagine we got rhat design instead.
I will like how you did the opening even though yes you accidentally even said x wing but I like how you say it in a galaxy far far away so may the force be with you all ways
I think the highlight of the Infinite Justice II is not the unit itself, but rather the gimmick that it hides inside a Zgok, which also docks onto the Cavalier AirFrid 01 (which might be coming as a P-bandai exclusive later). That new HG Zgok better be compatible with the IJ II, I kind of think that Bandai should have instead sold the Zgok+IJ II in one kit, sure it would be more expensive but it would give off a completely new building experience as a model kit, afterall the HG Destiny Spec II comes with the Zeus Silhouette as a differentiating factor from the original HGCE Destiny. 6:33 I think this one is a design choice as we've seen in the movie that the Cavalier fills the role instead. Also if the Cavalier ever comes as a model kit, please give me a favor by docking the Amazing Zgok with the Strike Freedom II just as it did in the movie when Athrun,Meyrin and Kira took off to rescue Lacus :D Anyway you've become my #1 gunpla reviewer now mainly due to your attention to details and deep knowledge of the lore behind the model kit's designs.
The highlight of this kit when looked at in a vacuum is the absurd number of beam sabers. The containment gimmick is instead the main gimmick of the Z'GOK. That is if the kit can fully achieve that in the first place. That point was meant for people who ask if the Volantes can be ridden on, so I decided to make a Star Wars joke instead. As for the Z'GOK hugging the SF Type II, I'll see if it can be done, as that would most likely require one of those stands with multiple arms in order to reliably execute. Glad you found my content helpful though. I'm happy to deliver.
For some reason I don't like Athrun, but his mobile suits are a whole different story, I love every single one of them, and the Infinity Justice II it's so cool ( and that Zgok too )
Athrun is one of the more likeable characters, though my brain cannot sift through 98 episodes and a movie to conclude on why. Though I will say that besides the Saviour, the Justice variants and the Aegis are all cool designs
In regards to articulation, i feel like the articulation on the 2020 IJ is stronger, especially on the arms, coz the shoulder armor does block the hand going up more
Might be, but it can also equally be leg positioning to compensate for the backpack and such creating the effect. Tough working with a small booth, but the OG does look like it's slightly taller than the Type II
I mean, it's still rock solid after it's been through my recording sessions, especially noteworthy that I didn't only do one take of the final spins. So like, a full 18 poses, plus playtesting, plus the articulation and accessory sections, and it's still good as new. It'll definitely hold up to being handled by responsible modelers.
This kit didn't need a full repaint, so I've just painted the frame in a better silver, and filled in the trims and inner thruster details then top-coated it.
I hate how short the thighs are. The hands are almost touching the knees with how short it is. Saw jp modellers add 2-3 mm to the thighs and it looks so much better
Infinite Justice Type II ✅ done Athrun Zgok 🔜 (in the process) Cavalier ⁉️ would they even release this kit? Athrun & Cagali literally used this in the movie although it has minor roles other than transportation 😅
Probably not. They're MGs and would be hard to find for them being exclusives. If someone posted their paint guides though, I might try to paint the RGs into them
I'll be honest, I still have mixed feelings over it, for being a director upgrade from the Justice. It doesn't feel like it. The only thing genuinely new is the head and backpack, which even then in the ladder case feels like an after thought. I can't help but feel like the type-II could've been more.
Oh so the kit is new? Lots of misinformation out there then. I was gonna get it but i did delayed the purchase on this alone for some time for this reason.
Just like black knight squad shi-ve.a like red ranger from power rangers, i gotta m2x32e volantes with infinity justice gundam type 2 colors inspired by x-wing and plot from Star Wars. Hopefully, bandai didn't get sue disney copyright because of m2x32e volantes look Lock similar to the x-wing
I mean, if Rockstar Games got away with implementing cars that are 99% identical to the real-life counterparts and not get sued by car companies, I think Bandai gets the pass here
The Mighty Strike Freedom is indeed slightly taller than the Infinite Justice Type II based on the tops of their heads. Though I do apologize for providing somewhat inaccurate measurements in the former's video, as it should be around 13.5-13.7 cm compared to the latter's 13 cm.
Apparently, the backpack can be used on the HGUC Zgok without modifications
It does coincidentally, as if it was fate that Athrun and Infinite Justice would be associated with the Z'Gok.
You know I'm gonna try that with a different Z'gok. Notice capitalization
It just like they knew people wanna mod their Zgok
The red one right

So - what did you end up doing with the original kit with the broken V-fin? I'm sure you could have salvaged it.
Eventually I'm going to paint my duplicate with the salvaged parts into a Star Wars inspired custom build.
Infinite Justice Type II ✅ done
Athrun Zgok 🔜 (in the process)
Cavalier ⁉️ would they even release this kit? Athrun & Cagali literally used this in the movie although it has minor roles other than transportation 😅
As an Option Parts Set maybe
@@mj2005gundambandai would never....oh wait
Will u review freedom & justice real type ?
Probably not. They're MGs and would be hard to find for them being exclusives. If someone posted their paint guides though, I might try to paint the RGs into them
That backpack is from Dragonar😂
Which one exactly?
@@mj2005gundam cabarrier. Cavalier aifrid is a modern take
I'll be honest, I still have mixed feelings over it, for being a director upgrade from the Justice. It doesn't feel like it. The only thing genuinely new is the head and backpack, which even then in the ladder case feels like an after thought. I can't help but feel like the type-II could've been more.
It's great for what it is, but I agree with that sentiment
Honestly when i get this kit ima toss out its backpack and put the original infinite justice backpack on it ☠️
Please tell me you're putting the backpack in a Star Wars display next
Bro out here Givin enemies head?!?
Yep. Next thing we know, he'll be acting on his thoughts in public
@@mj2005gundam arthrun gonna arthrow it back
Gonna show you what the Seed in Seed gundam is all about
Oh so the kit is new? Lots of misinformation out there then. I was gonna get it but i did delayed the purchase on this alone for some time for this reason.
This kit is entirely new except the beams. Not sure why people would say it reuses old IJ parts for the body
6:38 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I mean, the joke wrote itself in the movie. Glad you liked it though
The chest piece is angrier and strikingly more menacing plus the sharper looks than the old kit. Just sayin. 😋
To each their own. Personally, it still needs time to grow on me
Just like black knight squad shi-ve.a like red ranger from power rangers, i gotta m2x32e volantes with infinity justice gundam type 2 colors inspired by x-wing and plot from Star Wars. Hopefully, bandai didn't get sue disney copyright because of m2x32e volantes look Lock similar to the x-wing
I mean, if Rockstar Games got away with implementing cars that are 99% identical to the real-life counterparts and not get sued by car companies, I think Bandai gets the pass here
Still a better review and rating than that MechaGai...guy
Thank you
MSF taller than IJ type 2 ?
I thought they have same height
The Mighty Strike Freedom is indeed slightly taller than the Infinite Justice Type II based on the tops of their heads. Though I do apologize for providing somewhat inaccurate measurements in the former's video, as it should be around 13.5-13.7 cm compared to the latter's 13 cm.
Hgce Justice Gundam When?
When Bandai decided that the OG Justice is on their radars again. It didn't get added into EXVS or get an MG for quite a while
Backpack mirip x Wing
It is an X-Wing
I really don’t like design new chest for Infinite Justice Type II.
I like desgin old chest for HG Infinite Justice Revive 2020 is more better.
Thankfully the two are reverse compatible, so we can mix and match
i know nothing about seed, but i can confidently say its top 3 in terms of ms design bcs of astray, destiny and justice
The Justice seem to always be the stronger one in that regard compared to the Freedom
Infinite justice far away better 😅
Suit yourself
I like the intro- but why not pursue the intro🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Because I'd get copyright claimed if I played what I made in full
Weird that they did not include the waifu coating
I mean, leave it up to Gundam Girls Generation to do that
