2:26:29 "I'm down a rook and a knight for two pawns...I do have the bishop pair though". Eric Rosen, optimist.
The IM in the first game was finding such sick tactics
Kudos to IM Mika Karttunen for the classy draw offer when he was up on time in game 2 :)
Aw
Sometimes I'm just here watching Rosen content in the background, listening to his soothing voice while doing other stuff. Life is good.
Eric Rosen is an artist when it comes to opening content.
He is not an artist.
He is just a man with a plan
This statement is colourfully correct
Eric is truly the "Patron Saint of Lost Positions" similar to St. Jude
Upside down "T" mhm yeah... that's what we all thought ;)
IM Karttunen in second game like a true gentleman and kind person. Proud moment to be a finn :D
Proud moment to be a Karttunen too, probably
@@leadnitrate2194 sure, that too :D
Love the Busch-gass gambits!! So glad my videos on it have gotten it to spread so much :)
I'm happy to see the 3 hour content has made it's return
57:09 "Almost clever tho"
Eric is savage
Qb5 at 41:37 is the best, the resignation timing was perfect!
that was an amazing recovery for Eric.
I was just trying to sleep and this happened.
OH NO MY SLEEP SCHEDULE !!! 😂
Yeah.. India me raat ke dedh bj rhe hain bhai 😁😁😆😆
Subah 11 bje test hai.. Pr video jruri hai.. 😛
@@PrepareWithShiv All the best 👍😂
@@kaushalyadav3591 thanks.🤓
Feeling spoiled with fresh Eric Rosen content for falling asleep to
Very relaxing channel.
Love the longer videos eric! Keep it up
That was good stuff. Definitely watched the entire thing!
29:17 Yes Eric, an upside down T 😂
thats what we all thought indeed!
Oh for sure.... None of us was thinking it's a penis...
Watched the whole thing, very good learning experience. Trying to break into 1000 soon.
Watched it all, hope to see more long tournaments vids in future
Huge content thank you sir, this will give me a few peaceful nights
I loved how the last oponent gave his queen away for free and immediately resigned
Hey eric thanks for the uploads and your videos. I suffer from insomnia and really struggle to fall asleep but your calm demeanor always helps, you are a life saver
Favorite game was the 5 mover. Can't catch the streams but appreciate the videos Eric 👍
Ooof, the rook blunder against the second gm was heartbreaking
Some great games in this tournament. I can't imagine the kind of Herculean effort you'd need to win something like this.
Something like 20 years of playing chess, thousand hours of practice and prep. Herculean seems proper enough to describe the effort 😅👍
Love the content
Thanks to that one dudes comment, i googled the hanson/hikaru fight, Yassar’s commentary was fantastic. Not much of a fight, but throughly entertained to see hikaru get some karma squeezing with that chokehold. Never in a million years would i have guessed that that had occurred
can someone explain why at 2:00 the move wasn't to take the queen with the bishop? take that, maybe rook takes the bishop and then you get the knight with the pawn. is that not a good trade?
White doesn't have to take the bishop back immediately, and can instead play Ne6+ with a fork. Trading off both queens (and potentially the minor pieces that took them) definitely favors White here, Black loses most of their attack against White's king (the only compensation for the two pawns); and Black's king is still incredibly unsafe.
I watched the whole thing on UA-cam!
2:24:41 if the Bishop goes the other way to c3 to add pressure black can't survive taking the knight
Juicy video
just for the end i will say my favorite part was 2:31:00 when puzzle rush was inportant
@eric, I found an alternative move at 2:18:30 where black can play pawn to F5.
25:00 such a good game of rook manoeuvres!
You did that dude hectorluis wrong 😂
Nice games :)
The video is too long to leave a timestamp wt my fav game though, I can't remember all of them :D
that rosen trap sheesh. wpwpwpwp
He still has titled players falling for it in 2022.
DMrosen the Drawmaster 😂
got to the end. thanks
Dude I can’t believed he missed a forced win in the last game
35:44 "I wanna invade from behind" - IM Eric Rosen, 2022
Hey Eric, are you planning to upload summer marathon stream? I had a game with you, just wanted to see your comments on my trash play haha
I smelled the stalemate too

Why were the queen and/or night not taken early in game 1? I didn’t get it
Hi! If bishop takes queen, the white knight forks the king and queen. And if black queen takes the knight, the white queen will take the black bishop.
@@bryanledfird731 cool, thanks!
Bro i also smelt the rosen trap 💀
I like how the computer says “tournament”
Watched through it all! 2:10:25 Black Knights' Tango was my favourite cause it ended up in a KID like position which I play almost exclusively. However you were like 2-3 tempi down from the mainline so the bayonette style breaks just came way to fast and thus f5 just was way too late to provide counterplay. Still really fun to see you play positions that look like something I might have. I am basically a one trick pony so I tend to get really lost in most of the openings you play! Still really fun to watch and try my best to keep up tho!
Will throw in a selfish request for more KID games :D!
Actually, it is on May 22.
2:32:59 after Eric played g4, isn’t he getting mated if black played f4? (Well, forced draw because if Eric stops checking Rh1#, and g3 doesn’t work because f3) Am I missing something?
29:19 "Upside down T"
How many type chess titles are there ? Like GM, IM etc ?
Theres cm fm im and gm. Then there's the women only wcm wfm wim wgm
@@Montewtf That's FIDE, depending on country and such you also have NM and others. But yes FIDE only those are the titles.
2:25:25 I don't understand why Rxg7 doesn't work there? isn't that mate in 2? what am I missing?
You missed that the king can take on h6 because the rook doesn't defend anymore. If the bishop was defended then it would be mating. Rxg7 is still the best move in the position, but its not mating. It's actually losing because black is down material. it just maintains the most material, hence the best move.
Honestly the first game was so funny lmao
Hi Eric, I made it this far. Thanks.
London london london london
I made it to where the 2700 blundered a queen at the very end.
Boy. I wonder if Carlsen was playing in this tournament...
The smell is so strong. 🤣
1:08:07 why not Bg4 to attack the knight immediately?
I like the colors of those boards behind you. You should use some different color schemes on your videos.
1:10:15 Missed Mate
made it this far
Eric was fine at 226 if he took with the rook
Staircase stalemate was pretty nice ngl
3 months of editing 😄
Rook takes bishop is fine 2:26:13
Yeah I was confused and thought I missed something obvious
I don't think that work the king is gonna take the bishop next
@@Cat-lr6sr oh silly me
1:16:19 isnt this a backrank mate or am i missing sth
Bruh he block with the bishop lol
1:45:35 so cute
magic the gathering is a weird game
12:10 offer a draw to gain followers from Eric Rosen (!!)
Women Candidate Master or WCM can also be read as Water Closet Master

And between goodness, horror or terrible, and of god, we mused, in every child born is the human race's potentiality born again. When in god mode, Gukesh reminds me of this. The Tale of Rufus by Rufus O. Whiskey
Wow top 13% ie first eighth.
First :D
Eric is cool but every thumbnail is basically the same. Surely there is scope for a tiny bit of variety?
Why does he play the London system? So boring
