Very informative. Definitely useful for a first time traveller to Schipol.

Very informative. I’ve traveled through Schiphol countless times being of Dutch heritage. Your accent for the Dutch words is admirable! I will share this with a friend.

Dank je wel! My mother was Dutch, and I'm actually a Dutch citizen, but sadly don't speak fluently.

@@BarbaraIngramTravel Both my parents were from Den Haag and I do speak, read, and write fluently. Luckily I still have several Dutch friends near me to practice with. And on the ships…always stop to talk with whomever I hear speaking Dutch. Even in a hotel recently I surprised two young guys by wishing them a nice weekend! Oh their faces! I’m flying to FLL next month for a month long cruise to Europe. Can’t wait. Just made 4-star Mariner too!

@@hettytravels Leuk! It is my biggest regret in life that when I visit my family (zij woont in de buurt van Groningen), they have to speak English to me if it is a complex conversation. My daughter lives in Fort Lauderdale! Goede reis! En leuk met jou vier ster mariner status!)

The workstations you showed are the new ones and are at the renovated concourses, so Concourse D, E, F and G, which are mainly for transatlantic, Non Schengen Europe and other world destinations. Concourse A is under construction, and B and C are mainly Schengen and short haul flights. Concourse H (Non Schengen) and M (Schengen) are for budget airlines and don’t have any shops at all, so make sure you do your shopping in the departure hall or public shopping area before entering these concourses. After going through passport control at entering concourse M you can’t go back to the departure hall! On A to G concourses there are Grab&Fly convenient stores, but they have a limited selection and are far more expensive than the AH supermarket in the public shopping area, the ones before your check-in. For concourse H you have to use the shops at the beginning of concourse G, which you will pass to go to concourse H.

Wow, thank you for that detailed information! I have used that Grab & Fly when flying from NL to Spain, and yes, that concourse is very limited, crowded and expensive. I will be sure to take video of that area when I'm back there next month.

Thanks for sharing! Very informative .. I am travelling to Amsterdam next month and I am wondering if US/Canadian citizens can use automated immigration control eGates when they exit the Netherlands (or other EU country) to non-EU country (like flying back to the US). I see conflicting info on whether US/Canadian citizens can use automated immigration control eGates from certain EU countries. Thanks.
