It would be so fitting if the entire 15 minutes is a freaking magic trick! We're all lost in our feelings and pain, and Neil has pulled a sleight of hand, or as Aziraphale would say a "feat of prestidigitation", and what we thought we were seeing was actually something completely different. It could even work with Neil's teaser "they aren't talking", because it was all a big fake to fool anyone who was looking, that they were officially over. This plays into several theories of mine about season 3. I can't believe I'm gonna do this, but I have to go back and rewatch it, AGAIN. I haven't been able to get these two out of my head.
Well, knowing that Aziraphale prefers to think that he is a magician himself, catching the time out sign, catching the mouthings, it would fit, yes. But Neil is a weird creature and 'They aren't talking' could simply mean that they are miscommunicating. But I agree that it could also mean that they are speaking secretly just like Aziraphale said the magic words or something similar to that. The said part is that it also is possible that Aziraphale talked secretly and Crowley missed the most of it. The kiss is like, ah, as if Crowley would think in his head: 'I'm gonna show you that we aren't friends'.
I can only see one secret message during the final 15 (but it's so clear to me that it's driving me insane that almost no one is talking about it). It's when Aziraphale makes a "timeout" gesture with his hand and mouths "we need time" while doing it. It's even audible a little bit. Then he immediately follows up with "the Metatron, I don't think he's as bad a fellow..." At first, I didn't notice it, but since it has been pointed out to me, I can't unsee it. Also, I believe that when Aziraphale turns back to Crowley for one last time before stepping into the lift, he mouths "Trust me". But we, the audience, do not get to see it because it happens when the camera shows Crowley. Just like we didn't get to see the "Trust me" during the bullet catch scene and found out about it only later after Crowley mentioned it.
Also, I really enjoyed the video! :) I love this fandom, and that we're still going strong with theorizing and discussions nine months after the season's release.
YES!! I know about the 9 months. My thought was like even a baby would be born and we're just noticing things now?? Thank you for your help, you could make out the thing I tried to understand but failed. 'I need time' was the mouthing that I wanted to know!! And I noticed too that he even was signing stuff, but I didn't catch that either, my sign language knowledge is zero!! So it's the time out sign! Thank you!!!!
If I remember well, it's visible from the distance when Aziraphale mouths 'trust me' in the bullet scene. Hardly noticeable but it is there. And yeah, I'm sure too that he mouths it again before entering the lift, but since it's a theory, I didn't get into this, you know as I sad that in the video that I will not get into theories now, just facts. But yeah, I'm sure, too and this 'trust me' thing helps me not to think that Aziraphale was being deceived and cornered by the Metatron since he knows exactly what he's doing. And I'm sure he has formed a plan in the lift and this is why he was smiling.
I wondered if Crowley somehow stopped time so they could have a better conversation like he did in at the Tadfield airbase? What a good spot about the object in Aziraphale's mouth! I am off to watch that whole episode again!
Yes! You are actually right. And this is what is yet to be fixed in Season 3. Crowley will be happy by the end of episode 6, I'm sure of that. Otherwise it wouldn't be a good story.
Great catch! That happened in the first episode when they changed faces from the prediction slip that Aziraphale plucked from Nutter's book that he tossed to Anathema at the airbase at Tadfield but that the viewers didn't get until after they'd switched back and rewatching . It was clear that we didn't get everything that happened in the last 15 minutes and I do hope season 3 will enlighten us. David Tennant has admitted to having read the first three episodes and the end and said it was satisfying. That makes waiting a tiny bit less painful.
@@crazyestytvpower DT in fact did indeed say that the season 3 first 3 episodes (the only ones he's read) and the ending were *very* satisfying. In another interview, he said that he would love to come back to GO & Crowley every two years. Yesterday, during a BAFTA interview on the red carpet, DT said that season three will definitely be the last of the series, end of story. Disappointedly, the interviewer lamented that that means that there will be no more Aziraphale & Crowley kisses. Without missing a beat DT said: "Well, we don't know how many more kisses are to come in season 3". It was a brilliant exchange and made my heart sing. I'm totally bummed out that someone else won.
It's quite unlikely, though I like your way of thinking. Whatever that is, it could be a memory container. Although we both could be wrong for Neil says Aziraphale always has the bullet in his mouth but then he was sort of bullying us, he also said that he has either a small fish or an enormous diamond between his teeth during the actual bullet catch scene. 😂 So we can't take him seriously here. That thing can be anything for any reason. But I'd like to think that it's something that Crowley found in Heaven when he was there...
i think Crowley gave Aziraphale the time crank. Crowley was the Angle of time, he started the universe. When his car blew up, the crank and side mirror were all that survived. I believe the mirror will show again as a communication devise.
That's quite an interesting theory. When do you think Crowley gave the time crank to Aziraphale? I mean surely it couldn't fit into his mouth so probably you're not talking about the kiss? Then when?
I have a theory that it was a ring because I have a feeling also when season three was confirmed there was a ring around them in the background but it’s just a theory.😅
RING? Woooow, I love your theory, actually I wish you were right. I have never thought of this as a ring. Well as Neil said it can even be a fish or a diamond. 😅

I don’t think that Aziraphale liked the angel Crowley better but instead he liked the happiness that Crowley had when he was a angel.

Did he say that the ending is satisfying? Good to know that. Thanks for the information. Recently I couldn't watch interviews.

Tremendously interesting.
I hope you're right. It does make sense.
There's a high chance that I'm wrong though. Although we can't take Neil's answer seriously on this topic. (fish .. diamond ... what?)
Could it be the same fly Beezlebub gave Gabriel in case Aziraphales memories got wiped too?

Very interesting, I’ll have to go back and rewatch
Yep, rewatching is always on the list. Neil Gaiman is killing us. Lol.
Oooi I love this!! I'm gonna go watch it again and again and again with this theory in mind
