I believe there's something with his specific body. All previous Revenant bodies were affected by the woodoo stuff going with "his head". But when he says "I cant keep controll" we see for a moment the "New" Revenant body and then him in the old suit, suddenly raising his head like he realised that something is defferent with this body. Also it different from the Totem and Silence one cuz in the vent scenes he's covered with dark smoke and he can fully controll it. Whoever made this body knew that Rev would want to use it. Also unlike the old suits there's, I think, no logo of the corporation that built it. Thats just my theory
I think it must have a link to the persons who have his head (either Hammond or Torres ) . In the trailer, he was forced to be transferred into a body in the lab . And you can see that when he's glitching all of his bodies take the form of the new one . Meaning that someone is altering his mind using his head and forcing protocols so he can change . There is also lines of him where's his fighting with himself ( example :" It doesn't matter who did this to you ." "I'll find them , and i'll kill them all" ) Wich is weird , but clearly someone is trying to make him change to a nice and loyal dog ... with a gun .

In the trailer, he was forced to be transferred into a body in the lab . And you can see that when he's glitching all of his bodies take the form of the new one . Meaning that someone is altering his mind using his head and forcing protocols so he can change .
There is also lines of him where's his fighting with himself ( example :" It doesn't matter who did this to you ." "I'll find them , and i'll kill them all" )
Wich is weird , but clearly someone is trying to make him change to a nice and loyal dog ... with a gun .

I think both loba and rev feel more and more unforgivable every season
On one hand, rev has been alive way too long and when he malfunctioned, he remembered every death
On the other hand, rev is no better than loba (unlike what the comments are saying) rev has no respect for life and in most of his voice lines, he mentions how he likes ending it
And not to mention that rev was blissfully unaware of his past lives or the fact that he has become a killing machine, correct me if I’m wrong but rev only malfunctions like 3 years ago in apex lore, loba spent her whole life in pain while rev only felt his pain when he malfunctioned

Revenant most likely has very little of his humanity left considering his circumstances, he's jaded, nihilistic and barley holding it together at all times.
Then there's the added problem of he can remember decades of horrible things he was forced to do with no control over himself and there might be some really horrible memories locked in his head that are eating away at him
