I flew as a TWA flight attendant from 1968-1977.......Based in LAX and SFO...I worked the inaugural flight of the Boeing 747 from JFK to LAX and so much excitement on board with several “celebrities” in flight. Such a great memory along with so many more! Sherryl Weber......
You can check out aviation land it have a crash on 747 . It looks like it on the game , but i check out the air documents channel it is real . There no survivors on the plane . You guys also knows 230 passengers are not survived. The another channel is also like air documents. The Atlantic ocean has a red fire . Its not a normal fire anymore. So you search aviation land so it has top 10 deadly 747 crashes . So hope you see this comment !!
I flew fo TWA, based in JFK and N93119 was called among crews the "old reliable". Thanks for the pictures of the 747SP at 1:38 on the video and the B747-200 we acquired from Olympic at 3:11. Thanks for the memories "elmauiplatense"
flew with TWA many times on their Getaway Tours to Europe. Always loved that airline and was so sorry when it went down. Have not been on a plane since 2003 and it was American who took over TWA. I kept my TWA tote bags they gave us and also the plastic folders to hold tickets and passport. Use them now on Amtrak trips, my choice of travel today, grew up in a RR family so that is OK with me.
The last TWA 747 service was performed by N93108 on 20th February 1998 flying from Tel Aviv to New York as TW 885. Not 1996, although TWA 800 did accelerate the retirement of TWA's 747 fleet.
That's what I had thought, most were retired in 96/97/early 98. I swore I saw a 747 at Flight Wing One at JFK in October 1999 for a flight to, I think, Puerto Rico. I recently read that TWA had kept one 747 until 2000 that was rarely used for scheduled flights, but they seem to cite the last revenue flight as 885.
First off great video, brought back a lot of good memories. Secondly, TWA 800 was not in 1997 but 1996. July 17 1996 to be exact. I know I was there, I was scheduled to work that flight, but did a last minute swap with a co-worker who had to attend a wedding in Paris, so I took her Frankfurt flight and she took my Paris flight. I was called by the Captain and Informed of what had happened, as he knew I was scheduled to be on that plane. When I heard the news i broker down on the flight deck, and had to take about 30-40 minutes to recover. It was a very sad moment indeed. And to this day I'm so greatful in one way I dodged a bullet, but sad in another that I lost a friend and a co-worker.
We lost a lot of friends that day. I was at JFK. I'll never forget being at operations when I found out that evening about to go home. I ended up staying for hours after with friends to console each other, waiting for the confirmation of the crew/passenger manifest to come out.
I was a TWA TicketAgent at the ticket counter in st. louis. missouri. That night I tried to remember if I had checked anyone on a flight to JFK. Airport to connect with flight 800..I flew as a standby so many times on flight 800 out of New York to Europe GOD bless all that were on that flight.Tanya T.
I flew the 747-131 and 231 series for TWA for 6 years out of JFK... My last flight was the worst day of my life and I sure miss flying the queen of the sky...
Maybe some clarification is in order. at :31 seconds you state that TWA received the first B747 Reg N91032. Pan Am received Line #2 through #4. Boeing kept line #1. N91032 was actually the 8th 747-100 produced and the second 747 delivered to TWA. TWA's first 747 was N91031 which was line #5. You can look this up at planespotters.net. They further say that Boeing converted this airframe (N91032) to a cargo configuration in 1975 and it was later sold to the Iranian Air Force. Their data also shows that this airframe is still active, if so, it must be one of the very few 100s that are.
Remember when #800 crashed and so sorry for the people who were on it. I think we were on #800 one time, as I remember looking at my old tickets that I had saved when it happened.
0:13 You have made a spelling mistake, instead of "First" it reads "Firts" & "Fight to Survive !" did TWA really survived? or it was merged with AA ,if I'am not wrong. But apart from that you did a fine job.Can you do a video on Air India's Boeing 747.I'll be grateful to you.

I was a flight line license mechanic t SFO International Airport in 1993. I felt very sad&sorry this airlines company went belly up.

Yes! Pan Am! When flying was an enjoyable experience!
Bizarre music, good photos. Flew one of these JFK - FRA in 1971 - my very first trip on an airplane.
I flew the 747-131 and 231 series for TWA for 6 years out of JFK... My last flight was the worst day of my life and I sure miss flying the queen of the sky...
I have a very close friend who was a Flight Attendant for TWA. She worked for them 20+ years.
Looooooove the TWA 747 VIDEO.
Cool man! I am an aviation enthousiast AND a Jean-Claude Van Damme fan, so I twice enjoyed this video :) this video has a Double Impact so to speak ;)
Top Airline, top music, very good .... I llike this. Music from ? Pan Am and TWA one of the best airlines.....
Music came from the movie Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme in his first starring role.
I have flown on TWA on their 747 in the late 70s. From Chicago to London, and back.
I like the 1990 livery

There was another TWA 800 crash in Rome with a 707. Idk, but I think it had survivors

Great video, no need to spam my inbox though.

Why in the hell is the theme to Bloodsport used for this video? It makes NO sense. Are they the official airline of the Kumite?
Music ?
Pero TW siguio volando 747's hasta despues de 1996....
Which is the song
Cool
This music reminds me of Jean Claude Van Damme.
I know right, especially at the end of the movie where he is on that United 747 at the old Hong Kong Kai Tak airport.
