During the day when map models were release I though it was making your own blocks, but nope it was just a "make a structure n' paste" tool, until that one guy uploaded a glass pane block which which I thought he/she was just lazy to just place down a single block, but nope I realized that glass pane block was not in the block selection which gives me interest on downloading all the blocks that you can't normally place, and when I gain the ability to mod cnr. After making my first hacked custom, I went to try to find all the blocks that the devs can only use and place and upload them to the workshop. So yea for the map models for me I have no interest in as I rather make maps purely by hand, I did utilized it on my large knife factory map, but I mostly just use it to place down unselectable blocks and nothing else. For me it's really good for gaining access to dev blocks and use them in your map.
@@reality82069 Good luck on that tho, It doesn’t have exact symmetry to connecting blocks, it will just float over them so be careful with placing them
Tbh sometimes I even forget map models even exist...They can be useful at times and then they also aren't depending on the map size and layout etc. also depends what you need from map models
