Flat Bedders trucks don't even have reverse!
Uhm yes they do?
@@OzTiKs546 Prove it!!
Great video! Your ability to handle tight turns and unexpected challenges on the road is really impressive. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into the life of a truck driver. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you for putting in the effort that you always do for these videos dave. It doesn't go unnoticed and we all appreciate you very much. Thank you for supplying us with such incredible entertainment over the years. I hope you had a great American Thanksgiving. Keep up all the awesome content!
I've learned to always have a few tools ready in my vehicles just for any problems I might be able to fix like your air hose problem. Thanks for the video Dave!
😂 “most people wouldn’t’ve stopped there” ….”most people” we see in Dave’s videos give him space and let him through 😂
Well Dave some flat bed drivers do back up to docks. Some things they haul have to be driven onto their trailers. They're not always loaded from the side.
He’s like Ike. Thinks us flatbedders don’t back. We could back circles around his door swinging ass 🤭 I’d love to hook him up to my doubles and watch him back those up to his docks 😉 good video as always tho Dave 😘
@@ladyb1777doubles aren’t hard💀
@@Nofelon- 👍🏼
There's something about your videos that just checks off a box for me. I love turning your videos on at work at my lil cubicle. My truckin' buddy just doing his thing lol. Cya out on the road some day, Dave!
Amazing work dave, Love watching your videos as it shows how you all in America operate your lorries compared to us in the uk, keep up the awesome work.
This was a fun video Dave.
I know this is my entitlement speaking right now, but I'd totally go over the road if I could get one of those sweet trucks with an RV style camper in the back. I lived in my travel trailer for a couple of years, and we're moving back into it pretty soon, but if I could have that kind of home away from home, I think both me and my wife would team up to drive.
Well Dave when I was doing flat beds we still had to pull up and back up to be straight 😂
As someone that drives flatbed for the Army, you're right for the most part lmao. The only time WE have to back to a dock is if we have rolling stock! 😂😂
Ur an 88m?
@@Nofelon- yes lol
@@sawmaster95 oh ok same
Dave is the repair specialist 😂😂😂
Who loves Riding with Dave!

Alot of my coworkers left for toyota battery plant in liberty pretty cool to see in here
Hi, Dave 👋👋Loved your vlog 👏👏Take care of yourself 😊
Another question magnificent vlogs your infectious laugh. And can we talk about 4:50. Ugh. It soo phenomenal. Perfect vocals. This is why I’m so glad I encourage him to keep singing. These adventures. 🅰️⭐️😇🐐
I loved your flat bedders rant, Dave, it made my day. Stay safe.
she thinks with her face
Thank you for trucking, Dave. Safe travels.
25:50 you should see how European trucks would react in those bumps LOL
They wouldn't really react differently
I do hear those cabovers are a little bumpier. At least the older ones we used to have here were.
@RidingWithDave I don't know about American trucks but Europeans has 3 different sets of suspension (axel-cab-chair) that makes them bumpier in a bumpy gravel road but very comfy and smooth cruising down the highway
I like too leave early enough to get too where I'm going also
As I was leaving work today, I saw a CFI truck and trailer in our parking lot. I was geeking out thinking OMG this could be a friend of Dave!
I ran flatbed for years. One things always the same of those big jobsites. You're either worshipped for bringing something they really needed, or your hated for bringing the unneeded stuff lol.
Lol that last lady. Surprised they are on pallets, like what else would they be on to go in a trailer? Asks if you have a pallet jack, like as if you have a secretive pallet jack storage spot in the cab... But she sounded funny and nice at the end of the day. Great vid Dave!
She was definitely nice. After she escorted me back to the entrance she apologized for not offering me a water. I said that's okay I have water in here lol.
Haha, that cracks me up. I love people that are like that. You don't know what's going and neither do they, but you both know you have to get the job done and at the same time they're straight up with you on how they're feeling - even if it's not great. Typical contract work 😂
Construction sites can be a pain or just lovely, but way often very tight and dirty and loud :)
Knew exactly where you were in Raleigh. Be very thankful you didn't have to go any further north on Capital Blvd (US1) or worse they have you try to go out via Wake Forest road.
That's how a lot of truck is unloaded in Europe, especially smaller companies. Though it's a curtainside trailer, which basically a flatbed if you look it that way.
Dave, your channel is inspiration for me to start a channel for the cargo van expediting I do. It's hard to come up with a video formula that is entertaining.
LOL I was thinking that the person in the pink jeep was definitely a gay dude, it's funny you came to the same conclusion after about a minute XD
Hey Dave, does any of your videos discuss pay at this company. Former CFI driver wondering where to go next.
I wonder if Online gives you these crazy loads on purpose, whether to test your skill, or just to help give you some good UA-cam content.
Being a road and construction traffic controller (lollipop man) for many years seeing sites like your last drop is normal to me but for a non blue collar workers you don't see much of the works
I delivered to a solar farm that was expanding in Searcy,AR the escort led down a track that was little more than ruts in the mud. They unloaded me off a temporary dock that could be moved. I slung mud on top of my tanks underneath the cab. I went from there to a truck wash and there was still mud under the truck six months later.
I can remember going to dumb places and having to do weird things to get in/out. Narrowturn at a place in Arkansas and they said they had trucks/trailers in there; what they means was pickups with goosenecks about 30 feet shorter than I was. A place in PA where I had to take a road sign out of the dirt and then put it back when I got done. A place in Wisc. that had JUST had their lot redone and it was not cured. The only door for the stuff I was carrying was on the far side of that lot and I tore the hell out of the seams between the slabs. It happens. You make the best of it, and carry on, which is what it seems you did here.
Good stuff Dave!
Love the vlogs Dave!
I used to work with new home construction putting up new neighborhoods or just a house. Lot of interesting trucks and characters.
I don't know where I picked it up from since I grew up in the country but working in the city I always try to get to work half an hour before I have to start
Nice❤
I always planned to be at work 30 min early so that way if there’s traffic or road conditions I would still be early or on time
How's it feel to be doin P&D lmao. Got your first taste of LTL right here.
Did you thank that 4 wheeler for holding back at the light 💡 for you?
🎉 dude flatbedders back up as much or more than anybody else
Well guess top 10-15 isn’t too bad haha. Love the content😁
Petition to bring back turn cam! Gotta be a way to attach the GoPro.
Would be neat.
But, what if the company doesn't want Dave to stick things like GoPro holders on their truck?
Happy late Thanksgiving, Dave! Hope you've enjoyed your off time this weekend and had a good smoke and drink. Do you have enough videos queued up to keep posting throughout your upcoming break? Don't forget about the alien video! Thanks for the videos as always man. :)
I have a ton of content built up. Not edited and ready to go though. So I’ll have to edit and upload through it :)
Hey Dave, can we get a tour of how you have you truck set up?
First
1.2 billion dollars and 1700 jobs.
As a flatbedder, I concur
Tires probably G177
Who you driving with now!?

Ever posted a trucker night time camping routine video?
My night time camping is just going to the sleeper and going to sleep haha. I have shown where I park at the end of my day a lot though.
Nice video Dave
Greetings from the UK!
Isn’t this video old?
Why aren't trailer back up cams a standard issue thing yet?
Money...

I see the "flat bedders" are already commenting on how they know what REVERSE does, LOL. Have an awesomeness and safe week Dave.
I’ve got to say, who ever raised you did an awesome job!! You have just enough anxiety to make you a decent, considerate person. It’s so rare these days. And totally agree, get the fuck up early and don’t be late! ❤ your channel!
That plant in liberty is my neck of the woods. I brought in a lot of rocks to that site as well the asphalt too
EVERQUEST FOR LIFE
I love it, Today my dad said "This is jacked up" pulling into the harbor freight parking lot, in the same way you do lmfao
I’m a flat bedder that used to drive a dollar store account with dry van. Now it feels like all that backing I used to do went to waste. lol. We still have to back at some places, like into warehouse loading doors and such so they can crane steel coils or rebar onto the trailer. But most of the backing we do now is just to get parked for the night at a truck stop.
Great video as always Dave, your jokes make me laugh
Are you really trying to tell people you don't have a "normal" job? You have one of the most "normal" jobs to have.
I think Dave meant office jobs by "normal".
Possibly. Hopefully he knows that's not actually correct.
Love 😂
i remember driving in the 80s i had to have quarters and call dispatch if their was a problem which their was alot in chicago.ugg hated chicago.no cellphons then i had cabovers so i had this big blank tablet on engine cover and wrote directions down from what dispatch said but most of time it got you close but then spend your quarters and call reciever to get in.lumper fees company paid 40 dollars no more or it came outa your pocket
What's up Dave 👋
Me im a dock worker so i load or unload you guys and theres certin truck that i know by heart that i know they have something that i hate dealing whit cuase there a pain in the ass every time i see them im like pleas tell your at the wrong buliding they just laugh and go nope 😂😂
Great content. I started putting your channel on while I'm in traffic from New york to ct to listen, It's nice company lol.
Waiting at the entrance like a puppy dog at the SPCA for adoption. 😊
I have had that happen when I had the Volvo where my airlines would come off the trailer when making a right turn to back up I know the feeling Dave
Unoidamean
I always love pounding out another one of ol'Dave's videos with all the dudes on the ranch.
Not just you Dave ! I would get to work 30 minutes early , get a coffee and most of most of my crew , we worked in a welding shop , would sit and we would sit and just talk till work time . No worries about snow , etc on getting to work on time .
Hi Dave
The joys of trucking ..
Thanks Dave! Stay safe bro
Great video Dave, I love your laugh
These super truckers driving with the 43ft vans don't have to be out there strapping and chaining down their loads.
He was just yanking your chain 😂
This video reminds me of the time I hauled Concrete for a bit .. 90 percent of the deliveries were at sites like these .. if not worse sites.. shit was always so sketchy 🤦🏻♂️ the worse ones was when people were walking all over the place .. horrible 😂
Yeah this one was pretty well organized and easy. I imagine some construction sites are a nightmare.
Hi
Hey Dave! Love the channel; Thanks for the vids!
Im curious, how often do you load/unload the trailer? Seems like either lumpers or warehouse personnel do the loading/unloading.
Pretty much never. Haven't unloaded here at Online. At CFI, I think two times I assisted in unloading in a year and a half span.
Nice. I'll see if I can get hired on by Online or CFI then! Trying to (re-)start my trucking career on the right foot; Spent a week with a company that ended up having me hand-unload nearly 30k-lbs (no pallets, no dollies, only crappy "rollers"). Needless to say, I realized right-quick that _if_ im going to unload the trailer, i'll only do it if im able to get a tanker-job.
Is it just me, or is this a re-upload?
The first 30 seconds were also in the last video, but other then that it's a new video.
what phone holder do you use dave?
Brand is iottie. Not sure on what exact model anymore.
