- What is VUJ Stone & Treatment || Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma - Urologist
Observation: In some cases, especially if the VUR is mild, the doctor may recommend monitoring the condition to see if it improves on its own.

Stenting: In some cases, a temporary stent may be placed to keep the ureter open while the underlying issue is addressed.
Other Conditions: Various other conditions can affect the Vesico-Ureteric Junction, such as congenital abnormalities, strictures, or abnormal development. Treatment will depend on the specific nature of the condition and may involve a combination of medications, procedures, or surgery.
Sir very nicely explained about VUJ stone. Three days back I had severe pain and report confirmed 4 mm stone in VJU. Pain was lasted for 4 hrs then subside. Consulted UROLOGIST and medicine taken as prescribed. Afterward no pain for more that 36 hrs and urine discharge was normal. Again today I am having similar pain with frequent urine call and actually very less urine discharge. Unable to understand what to do.

Salam Sir, I'm from Lahore, Pakistan. I have 6.2mm stone at VUJ. The first pain occured on 12 July,2024 and blood came in urine. I did CT KUB on 25th July and remarks are ' On the left side there is mild prominence of pelvicalyceal system and proximal left ureter. A ureteric calculus is seen in the distal left ureter close to VUJ and measures around 6mm with density of around 1000 HU. Well, on 8th August 2024. I did Ultrasound and remarks are 'Mild Hydronephrosis with hydrouterer noted secondry to 6.2mm calculus at VU' I'm using Tamsulosin 0.4mg from last 25 days. Please, guide me what should I do? I have no fever at all and only symptom is severe pain 2 times in a week and I go to hospital for Pain killer IV injection and it becomes fine. Thanks a lot!

Sir i am 8 weeks pregnant, Mild dilatation of right collecting system along with entire ureter. Calculus size 7mm in the right lower ureter near to U.V.J. i am having pain since morning. Will it pass on its own. Please suggest some medicine.
Probability of passing down is very good especially in pregnancy

Symptom seen on the first day with small amount of urination but more frequent than usual.
second day it started on the morning at 11. felt pain on my lower abdomen. it increased to a point of unbearing so i went to local doctor and he said to do ultrasonography. Now im on medication and specific diet. Sir can you recommend anything i can do alongside for fast recovery? thanks for video. it was helpfull
You should try medicine for 2 to 3 week by Urologist, it may come out

I have 17mm stone at left VUJ from last 3 months, I even don't have any pain or any symptoms on a single time, as the stone is detected accidentally.
