thanks for the clear explanation i had stage 1 yesterday morning ambulance had to be called,endone and morphine did nothing for the pain,fentanol was the only thing that held pain at bay, o my god the pain is unbelievable , im now on stage 3 with an urge to pass water and am using tamsulosin to help relax ether and bladder...

As a woman I bought stone breakers..I had 19 stents .in 3 yrs and a big rock on my kidney God saw me through I hate those stents

My first two stone events were in the 90s; small in size and passed in a couple days. I was a construction worker then and didn't have the best diet or ample fluid intake. I changed careers in 2000 and entered the technology field working more at a desk. I have an 11mm stone now that must have been growing for some time. In my construction days, jumping from a 2-3' height off of scaffolding at the end of the day seemed to have an effect because soon after is when the pain began. I'm not sure what stage I'm in now with the 11mm stone but I've had two severe pain episodes in the last 30 days. The first pain I just stayed in bed for 4 hours and the pain subsided. Last Sunday, I was at the ER for six hours. Now I'm home with herbals, meds and pain killers (which I haven't needed yet). The urologist is an hour away; my first visit is next week. I'm 70 and on medicare. I'm taking herbals (Chanca Piedra, Stone Free) and meds Flomax, antibiotics. Should be interesting. I'll keep you posted... if I live through this.

Had one in 2019, pain killers and lots of water intake and lemon did the magic. I eventually passed it out into the bath basin. Analysis showed its calcium made of....... Last two weeks, Pain started. Abdominal USS showed uteric calculus. Pain killers, lemon and lots of water did the magic. The beast was passed while urinating inside a cup(so as not to miss it) yesterday. Doc was very happy

Brilliant description!
Just had one, as per most of the comments, to the ER, liquid paracetamol, IV fluids and then hit me with the Fentanyl.
The stage of bladder / urethra was the weirdest - urge to pass urine was not familiar so that’s when I got more concerned.
All good now, sadly couldn’t capture the stone (maybe it’s still in me…) but feeling good and have started be aware of hydration moving fwd.

@@stonerelief I think it has passed now, been to my GP and he thinks I’m good, more than likely emulsified and it eroded down.
After the first passing the VA did an ex ray and they told me I had two more in each kidney. And the VA had no idea to help me. So when it started again. I did the lemon juice treatment all night for 12 hours and it did the job. Just stopped the lemon juice after the 12 hr night and I had no more pain.
Can you tell me how exactly you did this 13hr lemon procedure? My husband has a stone still lodged in hi left kidney that spasms daily. I bought him Stone Breaker, & he only drinks water & lemonade. It just will not pass. Thanks❤😊

A few weeks ago I was on holiday in Tenerife and I woke up at 3am with a severe pain in my right side and vomited a lot. This lasted for 30 mins - I thought it was just food poisoning.
Then 2 weeks later I was at home and had the same pain and vomiting, so I thought it would be over after 30 minutes. I waited an hour before deciding I should go to A&E.
My wife drove me to A&E to get checked out, saline drip and pain relief (up the rectum - works after 10 mins, good stuff!).
The next day I went to a medical clinic to get a CT scan - they found a kidney stone.
I kept drinking a lot of water and by the next day I think the kidney stone had gone! I didn't feel or see it pass through me.
Bloodwork a few days later showed that my kidney function had gone from 50% up to 70%. It took a few days for the swelling (and pain) of my kidney area to go down, but that was fine.
I'm just very happy that I only had 30 minutes of pain whilst on holiday - that could have ruined the holiday! 2 days pain at home (England) isn't bad - could have been a lot worse.
I was supposed to have a CAT scan this week to confirm that there are no more stones inside me, but the clinic hasn't phoned me to book the appointment and I've been very busy at work. I'll call them to arrange a CT scan.

Excellent video. How long does it take to get through stage 3? Been three days of drinking 4 litres and running to pee, blood, and pain like a UTI, but still nothing. Not sure how much time I can have off work.

This was very helpful. I’m experiencing my first kidney stone which I have had symptoms from for 7 months. It is 1.5 CM and the urologist is recommending surgery. Could I pass a stone to at size on my own, if I take CLEANSE and during a lot of water?

Hi @cathycorell7337! Drinking a lot of water in the shortest time will create a high level of back pressure. Combined with the loosened state, you should urinate at the fastest rate possible to force the stone past the UVJ and/or out of your bladder. Just repeat this process until you pass your stone.

Hello Doc my stonogram says;
A 1.2 x 0.6 c 0.6cm (HU=800) dense stone is noted in the distal abdominal segment of the ureter, S2 level.
What is the conversion in mm of this stone Doc? Can this be treated naturally or surgery is the option?

Hello @kumbatiros, thank you for reaching out! 🙏To convert cm to mm, you need to multiply the numbers by 10. So, 1.2 by 0.6 cm means 12 by 6 mm. It is passable naturally because stones up to 9 mm are undoubtedly able to pass. Even dense stones (800 HU) of that size can pass naturally. You can use CLEANSE to help pass your stone with less pain.
@@stonerelief thanks for the reply Doc. my urologist initially place a ureteral stent. he says he need to perform 2nd procedure after 3 or 4 weeks. he says he cant crushed the stone coz i have a scar on my ureter next to stone. his diagnosis on me last week procedure was Obstructive uropathy right secondary to ureterolithiasis with ureteral stricture. and on the second stage he said he will perform ureteroscopy with lithotripsy. 3-4 liters per day is too much water for me. I can barely drink 2.5 liters which is about 10-11 8 oz cups of water.
I am consuming 1 to 2 cups of lemon juice per day and I have stopped drinking Monster drinks.

If you're pass the stage where the pain is intense, you are probably in stage 2 now. But if your stone is only small and is not causing obstruction on the very first place, you could also be in stge one yet. Just around those two stages. My 7 year old son has kidney stone since 2022. Now its 8mm X 4mm X 4mm. Its in right side of uriter. It cannot see in ultrasound or xray. Only ct can see it. There is so many white particles in his urine. I am wonder can a stone stay in uriter for that my time.

So update. Been having terrible pains all weekend. Had to take myself to hospital this morning. Cat scans just came back and my 8mm stone is now a 2mm stone in my lower left kidney and a 3mm stone in the top of my tube. So still have to pass both naturally but obviously a shitload better than a solid 8mm stone. So happy even tho still in discomfort haha really didnt want surgery

The medical profession is absolutely useless in treating stones. Mine started 3 weeks ago. Went into urgent care and they said "you really need a CT to confirm stones BUT insurance will not pay for one until we have done an ultrasound and test urine for blood". Fine. did that and the US was "inconclusive". All the time they are asking what is my pain level and I keep telling them to give me something. Long story short- I am now on day 21 and finally getting to breath and have some sort of life and get some rest. I think the medical profession is a racket and I would have done better to go on the street to get something for pain.
