thanks for sharing Nisha....your skin radiant showing you eat with quality choices and live a healthy lifestyle..thumbs up and thanks for the spice education.
Do you find that water frying is a good substitution for frying spices like cumin seeds (where you'd like to then pop and crackle before adding other ingredients) or is there an oil you prefer cooking with?
Hey, i was just diagonised by fatty liver ..and umm.. I m turning fully vegan now ..btw your videos are awesome ill be grateful if u post some videos regarding cooking of boiled vegetables.😊 without using any oil.
I loved this thank you!!! I grew up eating a lot of South Asian foods (I'm mixed Algerian but grew up in a mostly south Asian community) but was never taught how to cook it so I've just been making it up as I go along lol definitely not as nice as the food I'm used to so I really appreciate this! Would it be possible for you to show us some of your favourite spice orders/combinations? I know it's probably very basic stuff for you but the only combination I've figured out for myself is a cumin seeds, garlic, ginger and chilli one just because they're consistent ingredients ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I hadn't tried cooking Indian food until going vegan. I've only made one dish but loved it and want to try making more!! Please make more Indian cooking videos 😍
Yay! I am Indian, but adopted into a US family. Since I started cooking my own food, I've wanted to cook more Indian dishes. I appreciate this video. I look forward to more cause your recipes are delicious :)
That is amazing!! I have found that since cooking Indian food I feel like I love eating healthy so much more!! So many amazing spices and vegetables in these dishes!
i was so excited to buy one then I clicked the link, the box is empty you compiled those spices your self i was hoping for a fully stocked box.....my suggestion is you should stock and label some boxes and sell them yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!bizzzz opportunity!!!!
Oh I’d be just tickled if even just one person made one because I adore mine!! And thank you! I haven’t killed them yet so I’m crossing ALL my fingers 😂🙈
I've been making a lot of curries lately since there's turmeric and other anti-inflammatory spices in it (I've been having some health issues and this seems to bring down inflammation) and one thing I know is that I HAVE to get myself some of those spice boxes!
I just discovered your channel. The video mentioned you would put Amazon links to find the spice kits but I don’t see them. 🥲Have you removed the link(s) or am I blind?
Great video, its been a huge help! My original plan was to find a woman with a spice kit but that doesn't seem to be panning out so I've settled for the spice kit and a cat.
Hi, do you know if I am able to order the one you have from India and get it shipped to the US? Your set looks a little bigger than the one sold here in the US. Otherwise I will just get the Three Sisters. Thank you!
This spice kit idea seems like a GREAT way to organize spice kits by cuisine and then also just a favorites kit for the ones I use on a daily basis, I SO tire of pulling endless bottles off the shelf and lugging them out each time I want to make a recipe... I think this would be that much easier just to go grab my Indian spice kit, Italian spice kit, etc... thanks for the awesome inspiration and idea!
really enjoyed this video!!! i've always loved indian food, but rarely cook it myself because i've always just felt like the spices were a whole different world of cooking that i never learned. but this made it seem a lot easier!
I felt the same way! It’s so overwhelming at first but then it’s so easy. I just feel like it’s so important to help people learn how to make yummy healthy Indian food because, if made properly, it can be so incredibly healthy!
Indian bay leaf is different than the one you get in US and UK. Indian bay leaf has sweeter profile in comparison to western bay leaf, it's similar to cinnamon and common bay leaf in one, it's known as Tej Pata.
could you do a video with other masala dabbas that other indian dishes or parts of india would have? i would love to get a broad idea of which grouping of spices is used for the different types of indian foods. haven't found one i don't love, as of now i just sort of use them to taste and create weird indian/thai flavored foods with super fresh ingredients and fried rices XD
I am all about indian food and I find it to be the best option to make for omni friends when I want to make something I know people will love. Hope to see you make some indian dishes soon
I dont know why I havn't heard or thought of this. Im alway trying to find ways to organize my spices. I make my own tea blend sometimes and this would work amazingly. I need like three.
PLEASE make a vegan oil-free indian food ebook or at least some recipe videos!! I really LOVE indian food, but I need some guidance. My favorite dishes are vegetable briyani, alo gobi, and chana masala.
This is great! Can you show a video of the toasting spices versus the adding of powdered spices to a dish? That may sound obvious to some but I have a lot of questions on how to do it right. Are you removing the pods and seeds from the dish before you eat it? Crushing them? Id love a cooking tutorial where you use these spices!!
Of course! I’ll show you guys really detailed looks into cooking specific dishes! I know how confusing it is starting out ❤️ and I have some past videos Showing the process but I’m hoping to create a much more comprehensive recipe video!
Hi there Nisha! I know this video isn't about menstrual cups but i just found out today some menstrual cups are tested on animals and i had to tell you. I know for a fact intimina (the company that makes the lily cup and ziggy cup) test on animals and lunette do not. I'm afraid i don't know more than that in terms of companies but just be aware! I'm sure you didn't know, i just wanted to make you aware :-). -Grace x
OMG! I would love to learn Indian food vegan style! Girl bust out those recipes we are all waiting wait living for those tasty bites
Haha! Oh gosh thank you so much Kimmy!!!
Please, please, PLEASE show me how to properly cook a dahl. Mine always turns to mush!
Of course!!! My boyfriend also hates mushy dal! But there are some types of dal that are mushy so you may be actually cooking it right! 🤗❤️
Dal is SUPPOSED to be mushy, no?
If no, then simply cook it less.
Please keep the Indian food videos coming and never be afraid to share things that you love/who you are. Those are my favorite kinds of videos!
You are the best!!! Thank you!

You had me at vegan. I'm an honorary Bahrain Keralite and self-proclaimed "curly illiterate Desi". Glad I stumbled on your page today.
You ever tried Durban style? As my grandmother would say, ‘Sit down, I’ll be right back.’ 😂

I would also like to know what brand your kit is. Is it orderable online from India?

YOU'RE AWESOME :D Also, you may have noticed but if not - your camera auto focus keeps hunting and trying to refocus on the leaves behind you :)

Turmeric is good for everything! Food food and I love using it as a face mask, it leaves my skin so soft.
I love this! I told my husband about this when you did your teaser and he was excited for me to watch it and learn Haha.
