there are 2 types of people in this comments section: 1. i am good at playing games will that get me into yale? 2. volenteers at 3 different hospitals, 5.0 GPA, 1600 SAT, played the flute in front of trump, went to harvard to give a speech
It would be awesome if you could make some videos on masters schools & programs such as Yale's Jackson school, Harvard's Kennedy school, etc. There aren't enough videos to help people through their masters journey.
Does colleges have different admit rates for different majors? like I have heard that CS major at VT is hard to get in as compared to other majors. And if yes does it applied to Yale as well ?
I am a dual enrollment student so if my college gives me an A but it is numerically 92.3 (for example) is it an A-? I have a 4.0 because of all A’s but does, Yale, for instance view it as a 4.0 like my college or does it think its more of an 3.7 because of the - (negative/minus)?
I am studying in class XI in the science department of Bangla Medium .. I want to study in needblind university in usa .. I can do science subjects but weak in English. How to take sat preparation .. ??
I had heard that applying to EA was risky because most athletes, legacies and sons/daughters of sponsors applied EA so I will be like shadowed by their applications. Is this true? Also, can you do a COVID-19 consecuences for Yale applications for 2020-2021 round? And also how are my chances as an International student? I'm from El Salvador, a country that currently has only 2 students at Yale, can this be an advantage or disadvantage?
Hi Paula, applying EA actually comes with the advantage of an increased acceptance rate, which you can read more about here: blog.collegevine.com/what-are-the-differences-between-early-action-and-early-decision/ For more information on COVID-19 and how it's affecting future applications, take a look at our upcoming (and past) livestreams which will have the most up to date information on how COVID-19 is affecting applications. Our Q&A is also a great place to get many of your questions answered by our experts: www.collegevine.com/questions
Quick question...do these secondary education institutions look at your grade as an A, B, C, etc. or do they look at the numeral term such as 94.23 or 85.67. If they do evaluate using a letter system do they use the “A+” & “A-“ system as if A+ = 95+ and A- = 94.99- Thank you, I would really appreciate a reply.
I am not 100% sure but I think it should be something you do by yourself and you’re really good at. For me it’s writing :) but as I already said, I’m not an expert because I still haven’t applied

you definitely do, more so if your application enhances your culture, for example your essay can be about your experience and your community. in the western world this aspect of unique cultural heritage is perceived as unique, let that be your advantage
same i’m in 8th grade and my extracurriculars are drawing/painting, writing and a counselor at my local summer program i’mma def do more in 9th grade when i am offered more opportunities

No because it’s a liberal institution

How can I get a scholarship as an international student to go to Yale?
I'm thinking of writing my essay topic about my passion for reading and books. Is that a good essay topic?
I am not 100% sure but I think it should be something you do by yourself and you’re really good at. For me it’s writing :) but as I already said, I’m not an expert because I still haven’t applied
Possibly, but you would have to spin it to talk about a love for literature and that being your passion if that is your passion ofc.
@@gamertube1905 ofc i know, but what do you mean spin? can you give me an example
