I just turned 60 and still today listen to the same kind of music that i did as far back as i can. Every song has a story to tell about everyones history. A house you grew up in or a certain smell that you recall that leads us all back and that without a doubt puts a smile in my heart and large puctures of good times still hangs in the memory's of my mind.

@@tracydavis5253 In fact R&B is of a 'umbrella genre'. Which includes Motown, Soul, Funk 'Disco' and other 'subgenres'. Just has Rock & Roll includes Classic Rock, Metal, New Wave and Punk etc.
But whatever 'label' is put on it, this is the music that lifted me and I grew-up with, and will always be part of my life.

Nothing beats the 70 & 80s for music to enjoy, the greatest ever.
I just turned 60 and still today listen to the same kind of music that i did as far back as i can. Every song has a story to tell about everyones history. A house you grew up in or a certain smell that you recall that leads us all back and that without a doubt puts a smile in my heart and large puctures of good times still hangs in the memory's of my mind.

That I got when I was 6 or 7 that folded out with swinging doors the kitchen in the middle but when I think about my childhood that smell comes to my mind rverytime and it was my birthday and the album that I got with the doll house was ABC 123 THE JACKSONS. LOL
During the Disco era there were no shootings in the clubs, just people of all nationalities having fun and dancing!

Man, even today, I listen to the words in Too Hot, by Kool and the Gang, and the tears flow for oh so many reasons--lost loves, lost friendships, lost pets, lost time, . . . Life is so full of loss, and as you enter the final phases of life, you start losing everything. Nobody ever taught me how to handle loss, but I am learning on my own--I guess the hard way. All you really have in this life is yourself, so take care of you the best way possible.
