I went in expecting Niles to be Niles. Instead I got Niles giving very helpful life advice that I keep as one of my main philosophies. I am not disappointed.
Yeah, I was really surprised too when I paired them up in my game. I was expecting tons of lewd jokes and innuendos that Elise wouldn’t understand, but instead I got to see one of his nicer sides for once.
I found it weird how Effie's support with Niles shows her talking about how Niles is behaving inappropriately around or to Elise, yet in the support where Niles and Elise speak, Niles is all wise and giving advice to her.
This pairing will always have a very special place in my heart. They were the very first S support I achieved in Fates, and Nina was the first kid I recruited. This was one of the pairings I KNEW I wanted to do indefinitely before i actually bought the game (the others were Odin/Selena because well reasons and MU/Laslow). I knew about their C support ahead of time, and I loved it so much, I decided to marry them. It was also one of the only Elise pairings I could see myself liking story and game wise (which is very true because I've only S supported her with 3 other people in my 3 years of owning the game). I just thought if there was anyone that could change Niles's outlook on life, it would be Elise. She is the light in the dark for all of Conquest. She basically turned his coldness into compassion. Gameplay wise, their Nina was amazing, and she was actually one of my main units. She was an amazing healer and a crackshot with a Shining Bow. I passed down Demosille (sp?) which stacked really well with her personal skill. She was basically a glass canon, but I married her to Ignatius, and the defense bonus from the pair up was really good.
@@an_impasse She is about 15. Niles is 17 or 18. Literally there are lines about she's just really short for her age. Yeah, in this pairing, Nina would be at least a year older than her mom, but that happens with Rhajat and Hayato, who are connected no matter what. I could understand that marrying Elise to someone like Ryoma would be concerning (because he's like 21) but I don't see a problem with Elise and Niles because they are close in age and she's almost as emotionally mature as him, even though she prefers not to act like it most of the time.
I like to imagine that the conversation with Leo went something along the lines of Elise throwing open his door and loudly declaring that she was marrying Niles, she's already proposed and there's nothing anyone can do to stop her.
Oh man, I wish we could see poor Leo's reaction!! And Xanders... Camillas... Corrin... Man, I feel bad for Niles! He's so nice to Elise!! I can't bring myself to wed them to each other, but I like to think they'd end up being good friends
5:05 Okay I have to point this out. In my marathon of Fates support convos I swear I've seen this setup so many times now, and it's honestly quite annoying. Without any visual indications that their muttering their particular lines or saying it under their breath, I have to wonder how the other characters don't hear their statements properly. I could take a drink every time it happens at this point. On another note it was nice to see a support where Niles isn't a dick. Although if he did any of that with Elise I'm pretty sure Leo would throttle him.

I can’t believe my own retainer is a thief and a paedophile!” _Leo throws his Brynhildr tome in Niles’ face_ Elise: “Ah, Niles! Wait, what’s a paedophile?” o.o
Forrest Affected because he physically threw the tome at Niles, he didn’t use its magical powers, lol. ✌️ I can imagine Leo being in even more agony if he did take 0 damage from his Brynhildr though, lol.
im calling the police Seriously though, elise is a freaking loli and i just find it wrong to marry her to anyone thats like really tall or smth bc she looks really young, so in conquest i never give her an s rank support, it feels super creepy
I think she's at least 15 - She is an adult, and in Conquests medieval inspired theme, 15 would make sense and be perfectly acceptable to wed. However, she does act very young, I can't S-rank her either
