That catfish fought so hard I started becoming worried you wouldn't get to even see it. I was waiting for it to pull free. That smallie jump was crazy! Catfish grab anything as long as it is in their area. I snuck onto a golf course when I was much younger and there was a pond just before the 9th hole (i actually had to stand between the pond and the 9th green, balls flying all around. lol) Caught some decent bass but also caught a channel Cat on a buzz bait! The water was only about 18" in that section so he didn't have to move up too far for the bait. I just always laugh about catching a catfish on a topwater. Great video!

Yeah Jesse!!! It was an absolutely beautiful morning there. The calm water, birds, deer along the edges. The one shallow cove a deer and her two fawn were running through the water it was so cool to see. I fish top water for a good solid hour with not even a swipe. I fish the whopper popper about 15 minutes then switched over to the Rapala skitter pop.
I really like multi species sessions!! A channel cat is so fun to catch. A lot of people don't like them, but I enjoy catching them! Crazy how they attack on lures and pull them to the bottom! Great video my friend!

What a beautiful lake you were fishing at. The water was like ice early on there. You caught some nice bass and I would love to catch a muskie. We have them in the western part of NC on the French Broad River. I have caught 3 channel cats in the past year on artificial lures. I spoke to a guy a month or so ago who caught his first channel catfish on an artificial. Perhaps bait fish are getting scarce? Great editing job as well Chris. There is only one thing left for you to do... Catch more fish so you can put out another video, lol. Thanks for sharing !

In New Jersey I don’t think there is a limit on a boat but I know in Pennsylvania the limit is three per person so if I troll I just put three poles out. If I have somebody out with me we will put out four. I have seen guys up there with like 10 poles out fishing for crappie. Thanks on the Pike!!! He was a very nice looking Pike and healthy looking. There are not too many pike down this way so I was very happy to get him!
